      Totally understood man, these bags are not cheap. BUT! The high price means high quality so they should last a lifetime, which in the long run is totally worth it

      I think quite often these companies built a name up thus they can then add more on a price for the "premium name"

      Thanks Eric! Yea it's really cool, these bags are made by companies who are sort of indie/underground, and they are so detail-obsessed. They truly are amazing products :D

    I am rocking an AER duffle pack 3 and an AER tech sling 2 for like an year now. No regrets! The AER tech sling is perfect for my office EDC / travel for some hours, while the AER duffle pack 3 is my weekend trip / travel bagpack. A few points on the AER duffle pack 3 - I rarely go to the gym but I usually have to carry 2 laptops, chargers, an ipad, bluetooth keyboard, mouse etc on a longer travel. This is where AER duffle pack 3 shines. It can fit in so much! Though you can have it minimally stuffed and it still looks great on the back. Highly recommend it!

    Amazing vid as always! I'm kind of torn between the Dayfarer and the Wandrd Duo. Which one would you say is larger volume wise? The Duo sounds larger on paper with the Dayfarer only being usable in 18-20l mode, but all of that internal padding looks as if it could fit potentially less stuff in comparison to the large bucket that is the Dayfarer. My Daily carry can be rather large on some days and I prefer a bag in the 20-24 liter range and those two pretty much fit the bill feature wise... so I guess it just comes down to capacity. 😊

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I'd say the modern dayfarer might be the better pick for you :)

    I looked for a replacement for a brief case. Backpack straps that can be hidden away. Shoulder strap or carried by a good grip handle. Thinking about public transport, London Underground and buses everywhere I wanted an anti-theft bag; so no zippers on the front or side of the bag.
    Carry an ultraportable laptop and sometimes for vacation trips with a camera and a couple of lenses, external microphone and external flash.
    I eventually went for the XD Design's Bobby Bizz.
    As I could not get a camera cube shallow enough for my Sony Nex 7 and 18-200 mm power zoom I made my own Velcro dividers sowing into the zipper perimeter internal lining. The camera gear blocks access to the internal mesh pockets but the home made padding and dividers allow me quick access to camera and lenses as well as tablet or laptop in the deep pockets. At 17 litres it does not really need a waist strap, but when loaded fully out gets to 9kg. So I got some third party straps that slot onto the existing strap clips and can double up as a shoulder strap - the one supplied has very heavy metal buckles. Some bags are easy to add features, others. not worth the attempt.
    In this category there are a few other anti-theft backpacks worth considering ClickPack Pro from Korin Design, Ruit Bags, PacSafe and Loctote Flak Sack II and the rest of XD Design's offerings.

    100% on that AER DUFFEL PACK 2. Wish you could hide the straps, something similar to the Aer flight pack. Was able to get the X-Pac version so that solved the zippers on the tech compartment. Love the vids, keep up the grind!

    Can you PLEASE do some reviews/find great tech organized EDC backpacks that are between 1 - 1.5lbs? All of these bags are 2lbs or even 4lbs (Nomadic) before you put a single dongle in it. For the women in your audience it would be lovely to find a light, good-looking, well organized, EDC backpack. Thanks. P. S. Please avoid anything that’s bubblegum/Barbie pink. 😁

    1) I’m interested in the Wandrd Duo versus the Wandrd Prvke (newest or V1); the whole black heat sink makes me nervous though. Is this the same with the Prvke or not as much cuz you can offset a bit with that Blue/Green? My immediate purpose is a hiking/camera bag that I can take water bottles, tripod, camera that is comfortable for going around places like National Parks (Zion/Bryce/Arches,etc.). I hiked out 17miles at Big Pine Lakes makeshift strapping my peak design tripod, and wrapping my two lenses in shirts inside a jansport backpack and believe me that wasn’t fun so looking for something that can help with that. Am I on the right track with Wandrd or do you have any more fine tuned options for these needs?
    2) I have a secondary purpose that I’ll need a bag for Havasupai (4days) and the Wandrd Fernweh looks like a dream and exactly what I need for that 10mile trek to carry camera gear and all the camping gear too. But if I’m spending on Need 1 above, I’m thinking here I just slot in the Osprey Farpoint 40 since it’s not too often I’ll be doing this camping situation.
    3) I’ve been cycling a lot recently and have some mild mountain biking trips coming up too. I figured just goproing for a small footprint and slapping on a camelbak would work, but for the heck of it, what if-just what if-I wanted to take photos while on these rides. Hmm..any camelbak type camera bag small footprint available backpacks?
    Just found your channel and no lie I stayed up watching so many of your vids. Definitely great content and with travel coming back people going to need and want bags! But maybe you could do a separate video of WHAT TO DO WITH UNUSED BAGS. Haha. Any experience selling used bags or any specific tips on trading or selling this stuff rather than piling up in a closet? Cuz I for one wish I found you years ago (though not sure if you were making videos yet) cuz then I would be more on point with bag choices! Thanks for any input and your videos!

      @Nomads.Nation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey dude, thanks so much for the amazing comment, and so glad that you are finding our content useful!
      1. You are on the right track with WANDRD - the PRVKE should be an ideal fit for that
      2. Probably a good idea - the FERNWEH isn't cheap. If you've got the disposable income, sure, splurge lol. But if not and you won't use it too often then the Farpoint 40 might be a better bet...
      3. ahh man great question and unfortunately you've stumped me. If you find something tho PLEASE let me know, I'm curious myself.
      Hope that helps!

    If you’re a college student you can always repurpose photography kit for lunch kit. That way you have the best of both worlds as the organisation for tech is always better on photography bags, and the back support is nice. College kids carry around loads of kit and if you’re like me, you also want lunch space.

    Hey Aaron! Love your videos! I tried to find the best and most suitable backpack for me on the internet, but Im Kinda lost. Maybe you can help me. So here is the list:
    - I usually would use in travelling (if we would go to a city to explore it), or hiking (not hardcore just for 4-5 hours with friends, but its good that I can Pack things in my bag), or maybe EDC (for work maybe), or if we go to friend apartment to drink…😅
    -15-25 liter is ideal
    -Dont need laptop compartment, but if it has, its not so bad.
    -Dont need too many zip pockets, or too much pockets, its good if I can organise my stuff in 1 or 2 compartment.
    -Be comfortable and made in good marerials.

    Just recently found your channel and must admit I have binge-watched your backpack reviews. I currently live in the UK and budget airlines have very strict personal item allowance (40x20x25cm on Ryanair for example). I usually go on short trips , usually upto 5 days (2 weeks the longest) and can fit everything in a 25L backpack. However, my tnf backpack had been with me for almost a decade, and I feel like I need an upgrade haha. most of the backpacks on your channel are not readily available in the UK which limits my options :( I bought the Gomatic (which is the eu equivalent of nomatic) travel pack after watching your reviews, and hopefully will suit my need,despite the ugly ass stowaway strap solution they have. aside from week's worth of clothes, I dont really travel with a lot of tech gears - normally just bring my kindle, and my instant camera and very rarely bring laptop and accessories if it's a long haul flight :P I chose it because of the organisation features, as well as its dimensions which could easily fit under the seats of most budget airlines. I was also keen on the Errant but it is out of stock and I'm also out of patience. hahaha

      @@Nomads.Nation I had been using the nomatic travel pack everyday since i got it! It's perfect for me - love the organisation features! It says 1-3days on their website but I've used it for a 7-day trip and managed to fit everything in it. One feature that works really well is that you can expand the bag to 30L whilst packing all your stuff in, and then "compress" it afterwards (zip it back up to 20l) - - kinda works like a compression packing cube 😂 i was really impressed. Having said that, I didnt need to use any packing cubes on my week-long trip as the internal organisation helped to keep every bits and bobs well organised! The back panel is comfy, however, it could get hot after some time (although that might just be because it was 30C when i was walking for an hour all over the city lol)

    Hi guys! I watched almost all of your videos, and still don't know which one is good for me...help!!! I thought of Boundary Supply Errant as I am so tech/featured oriented(your description of the comfortable level made me hesitated about this bag) . I also like the design of Able Carry 13 but they don't have the color I like at the moment, needless to say it might be too small for me. I even thought of getting the Tote/backpack from Bellroy cause I think the blueish color and the slim design, not sure about how much the back really support heavy stuff though. I have no clue now. You mentioned Nomatic(too business look to me, too serious, too manly and too boring), AER looks good although it can be a bit slimmer but I don't want a black bag...Peak design, hem, I don't like the both side open design, although I am a photographer- I think I will worry about my gears come out too easily and the two side opening makes no sense to me. Boundary design Prima...could be an option, but it looks quite heavy evening when it's empty(and you mentioned it's the boundary common problem of not very comfortable for the straps). And it doesn't have blue, like the errant bag. Bellroy classic is too simple, not much of a tech bag- I have tons like this at home. Just FYI, I am a photographer, I already have Wandrd Prvke 21 and a Shimoda 30 action at home- I am happy with them. I am looking for a day bag, good design like able carry, cool material like Boundary supply, nice color like the Bellroy blasic...water resistant and not too heavy... Any idea? Your tips and advice is much appreciated !

    Can you put more light on the packs it is impossible to see any details. All you see is a black hole. You need to account for the compression TH-cam put on the videos, it just blends all the different shades of black into one. Your white background makes it difficult to expose for the very dark black bags with out completely blowing out the highlights.

    • @Nomads.Nation
