I'm a big fan of your videos. I don't know why, but when you explain these complex subjects, I just simply get it!! Keep up the good work. I wanted to ask you a quick question. Lets say I bought a stock/option at $100 and I want to sell it when it hits $125. I don't want to place a market or limit order at $125 but somehow create the order, from the beginning of the trade, to activate a trail stop at $125, and from that point onward surf the price until it sells it. How can I activate a trail stop from a certain price/percentage onward?
is it possible on ToS to buy and sell options based on the price of the underlying directly on the chart? The method shown in the video is quite cumbersome for the type of active trading i do. I would prefer something like the price ladder, but being able to submit the buys and sells on the underlying's chart.
You make it so easy for beginner traders. I love your videos. You explain it so well step by step. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into these videos.
Thank you for speaking at a pace that makes it so easy to follow and understand. Your detailed explanations of what you're doing and why you're doing it, are the best I've come across. Thanks for the great content.
Is there a way to have it buy the at the money or certain delta option instead? The issue I would think is if you were opening this and it would choose the 175 strike each time correct? It is still very helpful just curious if the system allows to select the option based on the market price as well as how far till expiration. Great video!
Thank you for this video. This may "change everything" for me. Definitely a huge step in the right direction. Before this video, I wasn't aware it was possible to trigger options trades based on studies interacting with stock prices. Thanks again. As you stated below, it sure would be nice to save these as "templates."
👍! How would you put two conditions such as if MACD bullish crossover and above VWAP, then buy and vice versa? If both of two conditions meet, then buy or sell. I tried to put two conditions but didn't get filled.
I am curious how you do the same thing but for a list of stocks, . you system works for apple but if I want to do it for Apple and META and etc . how I do it? second question is the options expire, so if not MACD signal while option is available, the whole trade fails. if is possible to select the ATM option rather than worrying about the expiry date ? Thank you so much
Dear sir, I am pleased with the result. One spy contract has yield about 40% of profit. Just wait and watch. How do I do on put option. Little hint is appreciated.
very nice presentation, thanks. My question is: now that I set this one format up, is there a quicker or easier way to access this structure? In other words, a way to call up this format and then just change the stock symbol and option price?
After you’ve made it, it should appear in that list as a reusable option in the menu. You’ll still need to edit the symbol, but it should save you at least some time. I really hope they make this easier and add the ability to set as a reusable template, but that’s it for jow
Thank God I already know a little bit because this would’ve been a little too much. I appreciate the video. I’m gonna save it and watch it continuously.😂
Is it possible to automatically select the strike based on the underlying price? I want to select the strike that is closest to the stock price at the moment the indicator triggered the signal
Thank you for your effort in this video and your channel. I just have a small question: in my "order entry tool," I can't find "Pos effect " Is there any way to add it to my Order entry tool? and How?
hi guys i am still new in this area i wanted to ask you one question. I created an automatic trading algorithm on the thinkorswim platform, and entered the buy and sell criteria, now the question is, I activated this order, the first buy order was executed, and the share was sold when the specified time passed and matched the sale criteria. Now, if a situation similar to the previous buy criteria appears in this action, will the order be executed, or is this order only valid for one trade?
Great video, but will using a "study" like this actually enable this to run continuously? (or will it only trigger the trade on the next crossover, then the close, and it would need to be staged again after that?). I'm looking for a way to use rules like this and have it trade continuously until I disable it. Thoughts?

I have done what you are saying but when I go into the conditions, I do not have the asking for the symbol. it shows in your video in blue. I do not see Sumit at: That is not shown in my options
I used this automated option trading on thinkorswim, but it never triggered a buy, just say waiting for trigger. Any help on this would be appreciated.
Sorry, it's been a while, ill need to rewatch this video to see the exact parameters I set for this one. Which stock and specific option contract were you trying to use it on? I can take a look on my side and see
@shortthestrike long call option, like Tesla, GE, Apple. I tried it on cisco stock trade ,and it worked. But not on a option trade. Just waiting on trigger to buy, nothing happens.
So for anything complex we have to write the entry conditions in code as a simple Boolean indicator and have Thinkorswim track when it flips to actually execute the trade?
Please let me know if there are any other topics you'd like me to cover!
i Would Like to get : scan to option for Scalping. - Daytrading Thanks.

Well my description is completely different

Thanks for all your A+ videos, this study did execute on a stock buy, but not options

You're doing amazing explaining these complex topics. Thank you for producing these videos. Very helpful!

Thank you so much for a fantastic video, I've been trying to find this solution for months and this is definitely a real game-changer.

It’s very helpful can you pls share more similar automated options trading strategies on 13 48 moving averages….thanks
Is it possible to take an option position from a MACD crossover then close it with a trailing stoploss from the mark price?
What is the tool or software you would suggest for this ?
I have only web login for my demat account
But how can you run this ongoing to buy and sell strikes on an ongoing basis isn't this specific to the contracts you select when you set it up?

I want to.do this but based on conditions inside the MACD histogram being True or false. . Specifically purchase upon breakout signals.
Can this strategy be used for intraday trading as well? If so, how?
Can you create this same advanced order but avoid a day trade?

Are you on a live account or ondemand? I believe you’ll only be able to see it in the live account and in the paper is just doesn’t show up
@@shortthestrike I am doing it ondemand for prectices.

Unless you’re buying options 6 months or a tear out this is useless
