This section of road used to be on my commute to work and I never had any problem with tailgating, however, post Lockdown this is now a regular occurrence here.
the closest to you was a cyclist, who under takes you, because you were that far out. you tail gate the car in front of you. so you made a fool of yourself. you deliberately block the car from passing you, so you make a fool of yourself. you failed to pay due care and attention to the traffic around, so you make a fool of yourself.
you, and i, may do that... but if it is a bit busy on the road there will always be some entitled arse inserting his polished turd in our "safety gap". they don't give a toss about road safety, following the traffic code or even common decency.
