Island cleaning should be done every 3 years, but on a shorter duration of 3 months on the leanest months.

Again, the local government of Malay hasn't changed. The guy is correct in saying that there are a lot of Chinese or Korean restaurants instead of Filipino. That would only mean that Chinese or Korean businessmen are the ones getting wealthier in the clean up of Boracay instead of the local Filipinos! Where is nationalism when it is needed the most?

Those Chinese and Korean restos cater to Chinese and Koreans who are the top 2
tourists group that had arrived in the Philippines according to the latest report on Philippine tourism.

Because they have the money to start to use as capital. And those Chinese and Korean restos are employing Pinoy staffs.

Larry from PH maybe they have Filipino business partners, the Filipino-Chinese and Filipino-Koreans, lol. It’s okey as long as they pay taxes, if you want Filipino food, go on Island hopping tour, or go to biggest Island in Panay, delicious seafoods in Iloilo the Seafood capital of PH.

All business names should be Romanized so that locals could read them otherwise Boracay looks like foreign country. It should be a requirement to get a business permit.

I agree when I went there early 2000 before tourist took over it was memorable experience. Experiencing the island life now it looks like china town and its upsetting..ph govt knock knock where are you

I agree with the cafe owner.. tricycles should be standardised, clean and not decrepit, limited and prices should be advertised in all tricycles.. and maybe 6000 tourist allowed could be increased.. just management of rubbish, vendors, limit the number of Chinese and Korean restaurants so other cusines (not necessarily Filipino restaurants) can flourish...

One of the person who was interviewed here say's its unfair daw pra sa mga business operator n ni limit yung mga tourist sa boracay and obviously hndi sya pilipino... kuya kung yung turista and kikitain mo lng nasa isip mo at hndi yung kapakanan ng isla n obviously masisira lng sa pag dami at pag dagsa ng tao maybe much better kung umalis k n lng dyan bumalik k n lng sa bansa mo dhil yung boracay hndi mag fafade yung ganda nya khit mawala lht ng hotels and restaurant dyan!! People are visting the island not because of ur expensive hotels and food!!

    @kkl_eats 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

The govt should impose all english main headings and yes
Filipino food should trump all to maintain the Filipino identity.
    Standard price range posted.
The government took drastic measures because you exploited it. It wouldnt have had to if your own local govt and people had been firm in respecting order. The drastic move lacked more in depth and comprehensive planning but it has done its job to put the need to respect the environment at the forefront. Real consequences. so act right and help out.

Upsetting to watch as a Filipino I've been to boracay before it was trashed by tourist but it's fixed.and I'm glad. But to see Chinese and korean restaurants everywhere its upsetting to watch. Tourist should have the full experience and taste authentic filipino food when they come to my country. So many other countrys l restaurants it doesnt even look like phlippines more like china towm they all took over sorry my opinion if anyone is offended.

Some negative facts from my experience about Boracay: Between 2014 till 2018 I was every whole December on Boracay. After reopenin I was again there. Problem a) The main road for walker was mostly under constraction. When its rain whole day, then streets partly overflowed. But not only the main road, even the market, the small streets also. One night I fall into manhole, because streets was partly overflowed, it was dark, no good lights. On mainroad exists every 20 metters a manhole. Most of them was open, other closed with a peace of wooden. The wooden broked and I fall into the cesspool. . My weight is 72kg. I had luck that all staff in restaurtaurant run to the manhole and help me out. It was very quick. But I fall completely unter water. They brought me to their restaurant kitchen and wash me. I had big luck. Problem b) Boracay is an island that has a big income for the goverment and landlords I suppose. The hotelowner lease only the hotel and is dependent from goverment and landlords. I think the lease is very high. Hence the price for living is very expensive. For example Thai-Seefood cost 400 pesos. A small room with a thin bed, not with any special luxery, costs sometimes 3000,- pesos. The staff gets a minimum income. For me it is modern slavery. Problem c) 2.1 Mio. tourist are too much for this small island. It is not really limited after reaopening. The beach at sunset time are extremly full of tourist. Like a big rock concert. It looks not romantic, it looks terrible. Problem d) Normally no hotel is allowed to build higher then a palm. But in the last years there are big investors they do not keep this conditions and build very big hotels. Problem e) To many plastic bottel. As tourist you drink 3-6 pottle water per day. Hotels, Restaurants and Bars must organize this problem other. Problem f) If the goverment has a big income -I am sure- they must invest much more. Till reopening they did nothing from the persective of a tourist.

Thanks a lot for the video and your efforts to introduce Boracay. I just want to mention as issue which might not be so pleasant and I hope nobody gets me wrong. I know Singaporians are very polite and well educated and wherever they go in the world they behave properly. however in case of Chinese from the main land, they behave so unproperly and rather rude to the locals. if they get guidance about how to be nicer in international communities that would be great. They have to get simple clues about how to behave out of China such as not to litter and keep their surroundings clean, follow the rules and laws like not to eat or drink on the beach, respect other tourists in restaurants and keep quiet and do not shout all the time and stay in lines and don't argue with Korean guys and so on. Koreans are also so rude people but they are not my point here in your video. Anyways sir, I hope you dont get me wrong and I wish for better world sir. thanks a lot again. Please teach chinese from the main land to behave themselves.

Boracay island, Aklan should be more Friendly to Local FILIPINO Business Owners rather than to Foreigners who want to make Money out of your Own Country and Island Places, Foreigners are Foreigners who are just Visiting and Not for Establishing Businesses like Mushroom everywhere & anywhere, If ever there will be Foreign Business or Investors they should employed 60-70% of Local Filipino workers from Office Staff, Receptionist, Service Crew, Maintenance staff etc. and for the Local or National Government responsible, should Provide Tax Incentives Or Less Tax for Aspiring Local Filipino Business Owner to All Philippine Tourist Destinations in the Country Not just in Boracay. #FilipinoParaSaPilipinas.💯🙏👶

The LGU in Boracay should look into the future of the ecosystem. Though we want more money coming in. The LGU should always put the money on the environment. You should also look into consideration the law within the island. Discipline the people and make sure that everybody follows.

The LGU must put a strict regulation on restaurants there like control the influx of foreign restos like chinese and koreans. Why not just build a street solely for chinese, koreans, european etc and when that streets are already full then do not give permit anymore to those who apply.

Why so many foreign restaurants? The guy is right saying that there should be more Filipino restaurants. Besides this is Philippines. LGU should control this and have businesses highlighting Filipino food, merch, and culture so that these are the things and memories tourists will bring home in their country.
Real talk: Chinese businesses are quite not concern about the waste or environment as a whole when they do business. They want profit only. Many of them too are literally irresponsible when it comes to garbage and maintaining the place.

The government of Duterte should focus on Tourism on his last year in office. So much job can be generated. If the government of Duterte can invest 6 billion for SEA games at Clark at sports complex why not in Boracay and the whole Island of Panay. 1 Billion for Boracay yearly 1 billion for Antique and 1 Billion for Iloilo. for the whole term of the President 6 years... surely in 10 years time the Philippines will be a powerhouse when it comes to tourism. Environmental tourism and Family tourism. Horseback riding, Boating Island Hopping, Cable Car, snorkling, scuba diving, etc. Food tourism.
Industries, hotel, airline, etc can provide jobs to the island. Hongkong... Tourism is one of the Pillars of Hongkong Economy, surely the Pilipinas has much to offer when it comes to tourism.... only if government can give support. Development of tourist spots, transportation, roads. BUDGET is the key and innovation. Regarding with the staff. Instead of more Pogo undocumented Chinese workers why not hire them by DOT to assist Chinese Tourist. There must have a CHINESE DESK, Korean Desk, Japanese Desk and other Nationalities to assist tourist and their compatriots.
Museum and Dioramas like one in Ayala depicting Philippine History and Culture in Boracay.

Tama! Dapat ang mga tao talaga alam nila ang responsibility nila. Yun ang kulang sa Pinas din cooperation and education about their contribution sa society. Dapat LGU will conduct education about proper waste disposal at kung ano yung responsibility nila sa place nila.
