Thanks for what your doing legend - our town was smashed by record flooding a few years ago and it was amazing how many people just turned up everywhere saying "what do you need, what can i do?". It might seem small at the time but any help can just get someone through another mud-filled day.
It’s so good to see that you are doing your little bit to help out those around you who where affected so much more than you where . A lot of people wouldn’t do that because they would be competing in the victim olympics & only thinking of themselves but expecting good people like you to help them out . It’s a pity that in these sorts of situations these days you can really see how the sense of community has dissipated compared to like the 70’s when I was a kid . My heartfelt condolences to all of those who have lost everything & any lives that were lost during this terrible event . I actually lived up in Cairns in the mid 90’s for 2 years and absolutely loved it . I drove from the northern beaches into cairns yesterday and the amount of flood damage was hard to fathom. I can only imagine what Wujal Wujal, port Douglas and some of the smaller communities are like. I am very lucky where I live in Clifton Beach but you’re heart goes out to the people who lost everything and just before Christmas. Heart breaking

Yeah .Good on Ya for helping out.lived in Upper Daintree for 15 years went thru 8 Cyclone,s now live Off Grid in Sunny Coast Hinterland.Worked in Resort build pole homes up there.worked volunteer for National Parks and SES during Cyclone Season.

Ive been going out in the boat all week last week down at palm here we are seeing big logs jetty posts a lot of rubbish drifting dirty murky water coming down from up that way reminds me of Yasi down here 12 years ago, all the sea grass probably damaged for the turtle and dugongs
