you need to double check the specs on tightening that bearing hub nut. it looks way to tight. the wheel should freely spin around the axle with little effort.
HI! This is from the MATCO manual: "IMPORTANT NOTE: Axle Nut Torque Your MATCO Mfg. wheel is equipped with tapered roller bearings that have integrated grease seals on the bearing cone to ensure the longest possible life. Torque procedures for bearings with this type of seal are different than for bearings without them. A common torqueing technique for bearings without seals is to tighten the axle nut until the wheel stops spinning freely then back off to the nearest locking feature. THIS TECHNIQUE DOES NOT WORK ON BEARINGS WITH AN INTEGRATED SEAL."
Great vid. Really appreciate it. Minor point is the cotter pin was 90 degrees off from being properly seated. Long tab of the pin should fold back tight around the end of the axle.
Normally the bleeder valve for brakes is on the top. Air is lighter than oil. That configuration doesn't look like it will work to me. You will never be able to get the air out of the caliper

@@jeffandadambuildazenith6816 I stand corrected.

Hi Adam, vise grip (backwards) on torx driver...we’ve all done that. Welcome to the club! 😆
I'm learning a lot from watching you. I hope to start my Zenith by the end of the year.
I've seen other plane videos where they are fixing old planes, including the brakes. Usually take the tire off, remive brake shoes, not the disc.
So, What's Deli-Cat? Food? Or Litter?
Are those calipers reversible
Hi! I'm not sure what you mean.
@@jeffandadambuildazenith6816 Its been so long I dont remember lol
Oh I rewatch some of it and i mean can you put them on the other side of plane so the bleeder valve can be on top
Your caliper is the wrong way up mine fitted without any grinding

I always pressure bleed from the bottom.
Bearing is too tight.
Guy ruins powder coating in 3,2,1. 😂
