I really think you should check out the I16-type27 as well. It has 2x20mm cannons, at 2.7(or 3.0. I don't remember very well). I have gottten several God Modes with it at top BRs
1:53 Wheeless rear landing gear is actually way more common than u think, its not a "soviet engineering" thing. I-16 was developed in the 1930s, and most 'developing' aircraft industries are still staying with the WW1 designs where rear landing gear is just a skid that helps the plane brake during landing. He-51 was made in roughly the same year & they also have wheeless rear landing gear
Still watching the vid but in response to that tail skid observation: This plane was designed way before 1939 (don't know the exact date), but it was used in the Spanish civil war and in WW1 the aircraft were not designed with brakes and landed on grass strips. On top of bleeding speed by "skidding" in the air, the pilot would also dig the tail skid in the ground in order to be able to slow down. The same seems to apply to the i16 since it was designed soon after WW1. Also I feel that low tier guilt when I play it lol. I mainly play low tier at the end of a session for a self esteem booster after a day of getting boned XD
Hey Tankenstein, Gaijin just announced the existence of a mobile version of War Thunder! It's still currently in development but it should be a great competitor to the already existing World of Tanks Blitz, which I myself quite do enjoy.
I think I did too. I'm sure there is some documentation on the wiki or somewhere buried deep that describes game play, but what it takes to destroy a base on any particular map is still opaque AF.
@@Tankenstein are you trying to unlock it in the battle pass so you'll have it forever? personally im trying to do that so that when I buy the BP upgrade I can get all of the vehicles.
I am! Gaijin gives me test drives on occasion, which allows me to use the vehicles in game before I permanently unlock them via grinding and/or battle pass.
@@Tankenstein Has there been any event vehicles that you've just said to hell with and didnt actualyl grind for? Like maybe some of the "Project Overpowered" vehicles?
When I was playing with my friend who was new the the game I was playing this for a bit. I used stealth rounds and shredded (I know seal clubbing) It was the most fun I had in a while in wt
favourite maneuver when being attacked by alot of people is too pull up har, dump all my speed, kick the rudder, go into a flatspin then level back out and run like a bitch XD
Wdym its not a good plane? It outruns and out energys biplanes and outturns monoplanes. Plus it has 4 absolutely lethal MG's and the option to equip RBS rockets for mixed battles, and all that at just 2.0 br.

God tier turn fighter
@@michaelbeale559 for real, easily top 1 turn fighter for its BR
it used to be 2.7 but its 3.0 now for good reasons
@@reedworsham5643 lol, back in the days, I-16 type 28 has 4.3 BR. It was more, than Bf-109F4 has
i used the chinese one (which is rank III) to absolutely plow through the last event

The Ju 87 D-5 with 19200rpm for it's gun pods

it was developed in `33 ... not exactly "soon after ww1"
but yeah interwar designs sometimes were a bit wonky

By .22 LMG I assume you mean the American 180?
In my first time playing Air-rb, I took the bf-109 to strafe bombing points. legit strafed the bombing points and then returned to land

i tried to mg bombing points as well when i was new lmao
Lol me too😂, thinking back on it I think my 6 year old was telling me that’s what I had to do 😂😂😂
Low tier Sovit planes is fun to play, wit their 4 machineguns. I-163, I-16, Su-2 - all have good maneurability and weaponry
I really want to see eoyu use the highest reward plane in this BP with all of its gunpods, so many fukin bullets
Dude, I want it SO bad. When Gaijin gives me it for a test drive, I'll be all over it

Man i just love your commentary!

suggest to play the Type-27 as well
the 20mm's slap hard and with a not bad ammunition count either
That is a fun plane but nothing like the murder rate of the KI-44-ll otsu at 3.0BR. Those 40mm shred opponents.
Yeah if you can hit with them. Those are just grenade launchers

You should use the bb-1, same armament but even lower br
The I-153 M-62, I-16 Type 18 And I-16 Type 24 All Have The Same Guns To
The I-115 is just as quick, same guns, and turns way better, and the same BR.

Could you do stock to spaded for the f4c?
BRO HOW OLD IS THIS VIDEO WHEN I CAN SEE TAHT OPERATION OWERPOVERED
Good observation! I've got about 25 videos lined up currently, so you'll see some from the 10th Anniversary in a few months, haha.
i-153 m62 has 2 of these mgs on it
The first one arrived
Tankenstein ich liebe dich
So 120 bullets per second
I think i153 is more enjoyabale than i16
Who's going to play this today 😎
God... It´s way to easy with mouse and KB in this game
Very goofy looking plane
Day 4 of asking for M103
