I am a 53 yr old Irish American female who just got two guiro for Christmas from my best friend who is Puerto Rican , I been to Puerto Rico many times and love listening and watching the guiro played so I told him I like one he got me two he got me a metal one and he got me a gourd one I want to learn to play it just for fun not for a band . I never see too many females using them. Already watching this video I am excited to learn .
