@@AdolfoGallardoJr don't get me wrong, I thinks it's great that we have so much easy access to great material. It has definitely increased the amount of good shooters.
I took basic pistol in July and this drill completely blew my mind. Loved the glass. Definitely want to do more. Love that they are right here in Ohio.
Man I have got to get out to a class!! But I am incredibly thankful for these kinds of teaching/instructional videos for drills that can be worked through at home. You guys at AHT are truly inspirational
AHT is the real deal man. 30 years experience and retired LEO with years instructing on our firearms training unit. I’ve witnessed firsthand the BS and the dogma we were all tied down by for so many years. Attended Rick’s RDS school in May of this year and will definitely be attending more. Learn to chk your ego at the door and accept the fact that instructors were teaching the wrong shit for years. And Yes, I was one of them…
Excellent content. Will use this in my personal practice next time. And In my private class I will be doing. Planning on seeing you in Tucson in December. Thank you !!!!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Despite the language barrier, I managed to understand what you teach (thanks Google Translate) and it has helped me change my way of thinking about how to do things to improve in this activity.
"Or your iron sights... If you have that" or sent me 😂😂 listen man it still hurts my heart to run an optic on my rifle, and I but pistols are where I draw the line! Idc Idc the edc is always gonna be a naked gun!
The difference between a 9ft shot and 45ft shot, is your mind... Many shooters as soon as they start getting further away the target, their mind play tricks about the distance and start to do things they don't do at 9ft. Like grip, sights, trigger, dipping, trigger manipulation and others.
So on your 50/50 drill, are you stacking the mag one live round, one dummy round/snap cap? I never see your slide lock open on a empty mag is the reason for the question. Thanks!
Is that an osight on that gun? If so how do you like it? Been debating on getting one for my backup, primary gun has the rmr but want something cheaper for a gun that rides in my backpack.
I would at-least goto 10 yards and start to make correction at that distance. You can get away with a lot at 5 yard if you’re not being super critical and aware.
Yes, this is a stock gun. But it’s not as basic as a Glock 19. This is the walther PDP Steel Frame Match. I believe it the perfect blend of a duty gun and competition capable. The reliably and performance of this gun is top notch.
Important principles. Thanks Paul....
New sub. Retired LEO still shoot weekly. Drills like this really help me stay sharp and improve. Thank you.
Yes they sure do! Thanks for subscribing!
It’s cool to see competition originated drills 6 years ago slowly trickling into the community, great job guys!
Knowledge in this field moves like molasses lol. Glad to see it finally make it's way in though
6 years ago? Leatham and the burner and others were doing this stuff 30 years ago. It's not like Ben invented this stuff.
@@cedartop1 true that….. Ben just put it out there, video and books….. but yes great point

On these drills would you stay at 5 yards until you have tight groups before moving out to 10?

What gun was he using?
WALTHER PDP Steel Frame

Why did AHT switch to the PDP from the P320 recently?
We shoot all types of guns. But we do enjoy the walther PDP line of firearms.
