    We're obviously aware of and deeply concerned about the global pandemic, and are choosing carefully what to publish as forms of escapism and entertainment to help ease thoughts of anxiety, and provide an alternative from the news. We are obviously NOT encouraging anyone to travel now or discouraging social distancing.
    Is this amazing county on your to-visit list for your next trip?

As the video said, even if you know you're going to disagree on something, it's still important to get at least a dose of the other side's perspective. And to be clear, Vietnam is officially a socialist country, though it's opening up to a market/capitalistic economy :)

      @@andrewjones575 🤔😮 why? I mean, idc what the government get up to, that's their business.
      Besides, I like to bring everything down to a smaller scale, and it's like if you go to someone's house and criticise them or the way they do things, what would you expect?
      You're in my house and you say bad things about me!? What do you expect to happen?

    • @andrewjones575
      @andrewjones575 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sandrajones8245 The Vietnamese government send people to prison for years for peacefully disagreeing with them. That doesn't happen if you criticise an ordinary person. Also, what the government do makes a far bigger difference than what an individual does.
      My point is that videos such as this one should point out that Vietnam doesn't have freedom of speech.

    • @sandrajones8245
      @sandrajones8245 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@andrewjones575 most countries dont have absolute freedom of speech. Ok yeah in the 1st world media and publications can print almost anything, but if an American news broadcaster said "I will kill Trump" or "fuck disabled people up the arse" I'm sure they would get in trouble? Same for most countries.
      I'm sure however if the police in Vietnam done something blatantly wrong it would cause an uproar.
      Freedom of speech isn't from me to you, it's through the media and publications, which honestly I couldn't care less about! Sorry.

    • @andrewjones575
      @andrewjones575 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sandrajones8245 Threats are a different matter.
      It's not only about freedom of media organisations. Ordinary people don't have freedom of speech in Vietnam. People there have been sent to prison for years for criticising their government without the convicted people having made any suggestion that violence be used.
