- Actor and comedian Adam Sandler (Hotel Transylvania, The Wedding Singer) delivers signature laughs in this coming-of-age animated musical comedy about the last year of elementary school - as seen through the eyes of a class pet. Jaded 74-year-old lizard Leo (Sandler) has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle (Bill Burr). When he learns he only has one year left to live, he plans to escape to experience life on the outside but instead gets caught up in the problems of his anxious students - including an impossibly mean substitute teacher. It ends up being the strangest but most rewarding bucket list ever…
Leo on Netflix, November 21.

I'm glad to see Adam Sandler in different roles, he can act if he has actual material like in Uncut Gems.
Yet in animated movies, he always puts an accent instead of using his real voice
Let's not get carried away. I dont think this role was much of a stretch for Adam.
Don't forget Hustle
@@josearielortiz2055your forgetting about eight crazy nights.

So a metaphor for how some old folks feel like they never really lived and also about how kids can learn from basically a 70+ year old man (or lizard). That’s actually a pretty sweet message.
First thing I thought of. Wasn't sure what to expect until about halfway through the trailer when it all clicked. I am so interested in seeing this movie.
and yet the cycle will repeat and they will still feel like that themselves, when they are old.
Yes, obeying elders and learning from

this is so sigma 😸😸😸😸💀💀💀💀💤💤💤💤😴😴😴🐕🐕🐕🐕⛓️⛓️⛓️⛓️
And it was actually done well too! Great arches for everyone, teacher included.
Adam Sandler was a massive part of my childhood, and I can’t wait for him to be a massive part of my kids’ life. I’m just happy it’s gonna be earlier than expected.
As I own an iguana named Acro, I find this ESPECIALLY wonderful to be able to watch. The moral here is that ALL reptiles deserve love, proper care, sunlight, and the freedom of choices in their lives! To do what they wanna do, if/when/ how they do it.
Lovely
I remember seeing him singing the Turkey song on SNL.🤩
I remember pulling the "They're all gonna laugh at you" prank on my parents once.....they grounded me for a week. In less than 48 hours i was back outside, because they effed around and found out!! LOL! Good times! Still wanna see a Toll Booth Willie movie!
MASSIVE
When he said “Everyone is scared, so don’t keep it to yourself. Find your Leo, your friend, your teacher your parent”. I was teary eyed on the ending.
You forgot squirtle saying "your turtle"
Did you just spoil...?
This is gonna be one of those feel-good lessons on life kind of movies which a lot of children and even grown ups will benefit from watching. Looking forward to it 👍
Yep! Always love these and the comedy. 😂😂
Nah the T word is dropped and there’s gore
Edit: this is a reference to the trailer of the Tamil movie Leo. The word “thevadiya” in the trailer caused controversy as it is a swear word in Tamil.

This is such a great movie. Humor for kids and Adults. Life lessons for days. Such a breath of fresh air from Adam Sandler. Beautiful message delivered
I think this film is gonna do something different, it's not just gonna be a quick, talking animal cash-grab, I think they're going to put a lot of heart into this and I'm eager to see the results. 🦎
I think it has all the signs of a quick cash grab. Just like all those shitty life of pets movies.
@@lampad4549 I believe it has the signs of becoming a heartfelt movie about the importance of teaching in a correct way, along with the importance of connections.
It will also probably display issues that we all lived through in the years of school or that some kids are currently living through.

I just watched this and it was actually way better than I thought it would be. Adults can definitely enjoy this too.
2:11 Leo word of caution there, fireflies are actually toxic and EXTREMELY dangerous for lizards to eat. Bearded dragons especially have croaked from being fed just one of them.
I love that this seems to be a different take on the "keep talking creature a secret" type of story, showing what the attention and respect a talking creature like Leo can get and what amazing insight kids can learn from him (as well as the insight Leo can gain from the kids). I'm really looking forward to this!

You can really tell that the animators really love Adam Sandler bc they made the lizard so dang cute. The music and lyrics are so lovely and managed to be enjoyable for adults and children which is really the magic of most of Adam Sandler movies. I actually lol’d and teared up during the “don’t cry” song. Good movie to watch with kids.
At first I thought I'd skip this one bc it looked bland, but seeing the trailer I'm definitely gonna give i a watch. The concept of a class pet seeking to make the most of his life all while befriending and teaching a class of kids is very wholesome and clever.

Wow. At first I thought "ok this seems kinda meh" but once word gets out that Leo can talk and can actually be an inspiring teacher of sorts who can also be inspired by the world he never got a chance to see, it suddenly became a film that I am really interested in seeing!
Yeah... It took this trailer a full minute but we got ourselves a promising story
honestly same, and then the actual teacher being like "what is so special about this lizard?!?" and the whole time the turtle is worried, it looks like it'll be wholesome fun
a movie about a talking lizard that actually managed to be super deep and relatable, while conveying 10+ different messages. barely any marketing though, which is a shame
Just finished watching this movie with my GF, and honestly, this movie, with the lessons (especially the last one), emotional scenes, and amazingly funny comedy, was such a fun movie to watch. Unexpected, but, a very much welcome surprise.

Good to see a movie where it’s an old timer leading. Not enough of those. I can definitely see where this is going. Leo winds up helping everyone in class and by the end he’ll probably be satisfied with just that and not have to see the world after all.
First time in a VERY long time that I've actually found myself interested in an Adam Sandler movie.
His motion pictures always have a nice message of kindness. I appreciate that.
We watched it with our kids tonight. They laughed out loud throughout the movie (really, we all did.) and I really liked the lessons that were taught. I was just sharing with my son after a spat that he had with his sister, that people tend to think the world revolves around themselves but in reality, we all have our flaws and to think of others beside ourselves. Then during the movie, the rich girl was describing how awesome she and her family was and Leo fed her some humble pie exclaiming, "You're not that awesome," and pointing out some of her entitled family's flaws essentially proclaiming the same lesson I was giving my son. It was perfect timing. We paused the movie and revisited the subject. The movie was slightly skewed from other kid movies and had the Sandler stamp on it for sure. It reminded me of Big Daddy for kids in some ways.
Thala cameo in Leo 🔥 hope it will be in the LCU

Same. I even watched it after putting my baby to sleep 😂
This was a cute movie to watch with the family over fall break. The scene where Leo attempted to do his mating dance and the girl chameleon just camouflaged herself onto the tree in response had my mom in a fit of hysterical laughter for like 15 minutes.

I know that some people might think this movie might be crap, but honestly I admire the work they put into these animations. Look at the detail, the textures, the face expressions, etc...This stuff takes a lot of work.

I watched this on Netflix and I thought it was so funny. I laughed because here the kids are taking advice from a classroom pet, instead of their teacher. This movie is so good. I laughed a lot. Leo's accent got me, lol. I like how Adam Sandler didn't miss on incorporating his classic comedy in this. Definitely one of the best family movies this year.
Leo is 74. Green iguanas can live up to 10 years in the wild and 19 years in captivity.
Actually they can live longer than that in captivity: 25 years plus! Geckos are surprisingly long-lived too. More than most dogs or cats. I'm serious here.
There's also a lizard known as the Grand Cayman blue iguana, which lives off the coast of the Cayman Islands that can live as long as us.
Box turtles, giant tortoises, tuataras, large pythons and boas can live for decades with proper care and crocodilians can easily live up to a century old.
This is giving me similar vibes as Pixar and DreamWorks films from the 2000s,i am totally down for it

This looks great definitely glad we’re getting more reptile based films that aren’t the usual Godzilla dragon or dinosaur stuff, and one where the reptile is taking on a heroic role compared to the usual cuddly fluffy animals, reptiles are not as well cared for in media or real life so this is neat to see like Sahara, back to the Outback & Rango.
As well as Kung Fu Panda where Master Croc is a revered hero and Oogway, a tortoise, is the most liked character.
Yeah,I actually upgraded my skinks to a bio active setup the other day.
Agree iguana are too dang cute
Always wanted an iguana as a kid. Didn't have any pets while I was in the military, but when I got out I started researching and found out iguanas can be a bit tough to raise. They need lots of space as they can get pretty big as adults, and they can ha e temperament problems. Settled on a bearded dragon and have been doing great with him for a couple years now 😊. Planning on getting a savanna monitor in the coming year or two, after I build a good enclosure.
@@addictedtofauna3838 True though I still wish they had made po a Chinese alligator since they were the main inspiration for Chinese dragons and it could’ve work better with the dragon warrior motif plus kung fu gator would’ve been an amazing name. It was also weird that the crocodile characters that were in the films & shows were species that weren’t native to china. Master croc was a saltwater croc while the croc bandits from the show were muggers.
