They are definitely sharp. Those 305/70/18s work out to 35” tall and 12” wide. I kept waiting for you to end the video by saying this one ain’t available because I bought it lol.
I looked at the zr2 and at4x. Ordered a 24 F350 Tremor platinum high output. Here's why. Can get in F350. Front limited slip. 4230 payload if you get the xlt f350 tremor w/out the sunroof, higher towing capability, more power_torque, better 10speed transmission. Super duty seats are way more comfortable
We couldn't find one in our area that had the options and color we wanted. Been on order for so long that the plant may re-tool before it's built. If it is I sure hope there aren't radical body changes because I really like that body design. Great video. Thanks
Nice truck! I have a 24 custom gasser and love it! I did want to ask a random question, I noticed a few trucks on the lot now have 10850gvwr and have gooseneck tow rating @ 18410 I believe.. mine was 10850 gvwr but has the derate to 10k which takes me down to (sticker allowance of 16410) would you agree truck wise there is no difference? Thanks and great vids!
Thanks, appreciate you watching and being here. To your question. Yes I'd agree that they would be incredibly close and that it would be splitting hairs to show the difference.
I was pretty hot on these 2024 chev hds until I test drove one yesterday. It drove and rode really good but the seats are probably a deal breaker, that and just the overall ergonomics like the weird gas pedal to brake pedal alignment, and the seat height and steering wheel that covers up the dash. Why so small speedo and tach? My wife said it was the most uncomfortable seat she's ever sat on, it did not have passenger seat elec. adjustment. The 6.6 gas was probably ok but pretty underwhelming. The 10 speed is ok, not sure it's an advantage to an 8 speed at all. I was expecting more compared to my 12 year old 1500 ram with 70000 miles.
I can definitely agree on the seats....my wife likes the ford seats best and she loves the overall ergonomics of the ford HD best also. The godzilla with the 3.73 is a zippy truck. Gm brakes are also something to get used to also.
My 2024 2500 HD Duramax is in the shop again after multiple drive train problems. Is has been there now on this stint for 11 days with a transmission failure at 2200 miles. Failures started at 200 miles. The product and brand is horrible. I purchased an LTZ version (high country quality) and it has been a nightmare. Stay away! I haven't even towed with it yet. Sad!
“It rides awesome”…what? Did you even drive it? To make it suitable for heavy towing, those rear DSSV shocks had to be stiffened. In this application, it rides STIFF unless you put a load in the bed. Way stiffer while riding empty than my Ram HD. Also, you mention lockers (pleural). It only has rear locker.
I did drive it, for what it is, it does drive awesome, compared to ford and ram off road versions, Being an off road truck, it is excellent...yes it does have a locker, rear only. People get the gist of what I mean. But you are correct, I did say plural.
Went from a Powerwagon to the HD ZR2 and while it’s not the plush ride of the Ram, it handles way better and I actually enjoy the ride more. Not to mention, I can actually tow a trailer and have payload to spare now.
@slimtny I'm glad it suits your use case. If you need to get heavy stuff or trailers to locations not served by paved roads, I think it is a great choice. But, if you just want the "biggest & most capable" truck & won't haul anything off-road, be prepared for a stiff ride. Those big tires are high pressure & the shocks have little "give" unless loaded. So, don't expect Raptor or TRX levels of comfort as you commute to work or cruise to your local Starbucks/mall. Ha!
Except for all the electronic garbage engineered to fail at end of warranty, the fact that it looks like homemade soap, and that it probably cost close to 100 grand. They are all junk now.....
It’s crazy how people forget what GM did to consumers during COVID. 7-20% mark-ups. I bought a 21 RAM 3500 with a discount while Chevy was busting consumers up. I struck GM off of my list for a while. I also remember that hefty bailout. But us Americans will always support them. 🤷🏻♂️
PLEASE TRADE IN THAT DANG RAM AND BUY THAT CHEVY!!!! I MISS L8T content!!!! Cool to see how that off-roader tows!!! PLEASE BUY!!!
Agreed
Finally someone reviewed a V8 gasser .. all other vids on here are Duramax .. nothing against Diesel .. i just prefer gas trucks.
Buy it! I love my 24 gasser. 3,500 miles no oil consumption.
This thing is the best looking HD truck on the market by far! Wish I was in the market for a new one…
They are definitely sharp. Those 305/70/18s work out to 35” tall and 12” wide.

Way more badass than any other!
Ya! Thanks for doing the L8T! (I have zero interest in any of the diesels in any brand)
Grab it! Nice truck
Love this truck.

There is no better tranny than the Allison.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought the ford and gm had basically the same trans in terms of hardware?
@@danielrosas7550 for the conventional 10 speed yes. On the GM HD trucks they use the Allison and there is no better tranny than the Allison.

Great video.
Thanks
Congrats on.the order. I hope you do get it sooner than later or many changes! That is one wicked sick truck.

That’s a great trip. I wonder if the GMC Sierra, AT4 Is the same
The AT4 X, not the standard AT4, will be the same as the ZR2.
Awsome truck !!
This would be my second pick. I went for the Rocky Ridge package.

BEST OFF ROAD KING RAM POWER WAGON😊😊😊
Ir would probably look really good in your driveway...
Whats the running gear ⚙ 373 or 411 , and does it have rear locking Differential
What's the Axel ratio?
Best looking GM truck I've seen, from a FMC guy. TKS
3.73
I thought they put a 3:42 on that configuration?
@F350DuallyD if you go diesel you get 3.42s gas 3.73
Thank God they didn’t put them Rancho shocks on the truck, lol.
Anyone who would pay for one of these at today's prices and interest rates is crazy.
Couldn't agree more !!

Your Ram rides soft because it’s a soft truck that’s why it sags like some used boobs when you put some weight behind it.

Send me info on this truck.
Send me the info of these trucks!

It’s a heavy duty truck, so definitely not the best off-road truck ever!
