I would love a Vapor series building a full rest API and connecting it to databases, etc. I think you could potentially be the first to teach a course in how to create a backend, rest, and frontend all in Swift!
i am an iOS developer and was planning about learning web development with node...but now i think it would be more simple to learn this with Vapor and my favourite Swift. Thanks Brian, we definitely want some more tutorials on it.
Another amazing tutorial! Of course I would love to see more about it. But I also have a question: Can I connect my vapor web app to Firebase? (Didn’t check that just a thought I had while watching this amazing video)
Vapor is my favorite Swift server-side framework, it has really neat features and the learning curve is really great, unlike others like Perfect (which feels like doing some Java). Besides of that, the other components like Fluent, Crypto and Leaf makes it a very complete framework to try out.
Very very simple and clean , kindly we need more explanation for vapor with also real world webapps idea if you can so we can know how the flow and how easy it can be done . Thanks
It would be interesting to see post methods and any simple app examplem where from app we would be able to store data. Also how it would retrieve data with get parameter. Very interesting to see!
Brian...THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! Very well done! Not sure how deep you will go into the subject, but would be great to learn how the server would deal with multi users in a super basic game (i.e. rock, paper, scissors or some other semi-mindless game). Other intro tutorials never cover this.
I ask because I just updated brew & had difficulty installing via vapor/tap/vapor. I had to do "brew install vapor" instead Doing "vapor new FirstWebApp" resulted in questions on the terminal of whether to use FLUENT & which DB I want to use, which didn't happen when u did it & I'm wondering how come
