I HATE that spooky narration voice that way too many of these channels try to do. It doesn't make the videos any scarier, it just makes them sound stupid

Been watching John Wolfe since the early days of playing indie horror games just over 10 years ago, I love that he switched up his content and started producing debunking content and educating on media literacy - especially since it was around the time I started watching Beardo, Mythos and others. This platform needs more voices, whether it be high or low profile, to engage in calling out the bigger channels who manipulate their audience.
I like John. Not like I love our debunkers’s, but he’s pretty cool. I like him.
John is one of my absolute favourites. He's great.

John Wolfe is great, I love his videos! Used to watch him for horror gaming videos but it’s been a huge delight to watch him debunk the paranormal and share his thoughts.
Especially when he tackled his second video on the Conjuring house, saying that paranormal channels often leave it up to the viewers to decide, “is it real or is it an elaborate hoax? you decide” but editing their content in a biased way, leaning more towards encouraging people believing it.
I really like that John picked up on NukesTop5 editing in a spooky scream post-production in a TikTok video and when he pulled up the original video, the scream wasn’t there!
It was John that led me to Mythos then here. I loved his old content but I enjoy this more cuz we still get the best of both worlds and he's happier for it. Plus his push for media literacy is so important nowadays.
I have watched John Wolfe for a long time. He deep dives into fakery and explains with commonsense and humour. As a researcher myself I find his work exceptional.
And when he's wrong or misinformed: He admits it and provides context.
Do remember his old username, Harshly Critical, he lived to that title

There was some top five or 10 channel that use one of my videos. He made it out to be something it wasn’t and we even debunk it in that same video.
Oh wow! 🤨 So basically this is like an everyday thing for them!! That's fd up!! Esp bad for people that may be brand new and haven't even built a channel big enough for monetization.
That's enough to destroy an honest teams complete reputation and crush their channel. Fn disgusting behavior.

i only did 1 commentary on 1 of his videos and he copyright claimed me on clips that weren't even his own.. the double standard is Overwhelming..

As some one who used to belong to a Paranormal Investigation team that was affiliated with ASSAP, I have yet to see a real paranormal video on TH-cam. There are none.

I'm an avid nukes top 5 viewer, been watching his videos for years now and enjoyed them.
Thank you for making this video as we need the discourse on this topic from people who believe and people who don't. So debunking should be done and also said with the supposed video that has a ghost.
I just wanted to mention that nuke said once in his videos he does alot of research on his videos, gets the full story and gives us the important information. (I don't know how accurate or true that is since i never put the effort in myself to confirm it)
In nukes older videos i don't think he used sounds at all really and it was a big reason why i only watched his top 5 since to me the rest were absolute trash, chills, slapped ham and the rest.
But i may not of even noticed at rhe time, but i did notice over the past yr or two he has added in music which bothers me alot. It takes away from the videos themselves.
I'm just glad to hear from other people that he has done some dodgy stuff which means i can take a step back again. I got a lil too comfortable watching him, even though i watch it for entertainment but don't believe everything that comes through the top 5. I watch them for ways i can think of proving they are real with actual science.
I would love to go to a supposed haunted place with sensory equipment and just let them go plus encase the entire house in a metal to prevent electromagnetic waves from coming through and setting off an emp on the house to ensure there is nothing left.

Would like to see The Side Eye Guy do a reaction to everyone's reaction to his voice, with Kenny Biddle debunking voice authenticity and The Shape's signature thumbnail art. I dont know if anyone else would laugh, but i would.

I think he made a video about how he has some voice disorder, which is the only reason he gave for his goofy ahh voice, the video is a bit old.

I watched the John Wolfe video last night, not long after it went live and your viewers and reviewers haven't seen this video, You guys really should along with his channel which has some amazing debunks.
I've been "thinking critically" with John Wolfe/John Twolfe for years, lol. I love his debunking and gaming videos. I think his videos are the reason that your videos (and SEG's) started popping up in my feed. You guys are all awesome!

Nuke complaining about CasperSight is super petty - CasperSight is SUPER supportive of the channels he reacts to, full of praise of the creators and always cites who he is watching and tells viewers to follow etc the OC.
Goes to show how insecure Nuke is about his channel considering it coasts off of content he didn't actually make himself.
I once wrote an e-mail to nuke top5, asking for permission. Can I watch his videos and record my reactions, on my youtube channel. He didn't agree. He replied that they don't do collaborations with other channels anymore. Then I heard that Caspersight also dropped out. So it's strange, Nuke Top 5 has so many viewers, but doesn't want to cooperate with other channels.
I know a couple of channels that nuke bullied into quitting. I won’t say their channel names as one of them was nervous he would be sued as nuke had threatened that. Here’s the kicker, these channels weren’t reacting to nukes channel, they were doing their own top 5 channel and nuke was livid.
You also have to understand that he uploads one video every 14 days sometimes.
If this causes views to drop by 10%, it's a loss for him.
I totally understand him. If he posted videos every day or at least several times a week, maybe he would share with some channels.
Many people would probably do the same if they were in his place... when you post one video every 14 days.
@ he doesn’t need to share videos as all the videos he shows have already been seen on all the other channels. He is now behind them when it comes to sharing new videos. I haven’t seen anything that only he has been sent for well over a year. He thinks he is top dog and doesn’t like that other channels are becoming popular. His arrogance does him no favours. He has no right to threaten and bully other channels. He is no better than them
It's his channel, and it's his decision.
Now you're funny... He has to search for videos, download them from the internet, add the videos into the editing software, then (maybe even write up a speech) when it is finished, he needs to add the speech into the editing software, and when everything is finished... now, it is time to process the video into a file.
It depends on the computer, but it could take a few hours. When that's completed, the last step is to upload the video.
What does the person who shares other videos have to do?
Launch a desktop recording software and turn on a webcam or a specific recording software that can do everything automatically, even upload the video online. If it's live, the uploader doesn't have to do anything because the website/software will even automatically upload the video in the end.
In the end, depending on the size of the channel, he will get paid even though he didn't have to put in any effort other than a few clicks and responded to the video(s).
Does that seem fair to you? Because it doesn't seem fair to me.

This is why I wanna watch the legit channels on their own videos. No music, no fake shit, the team looks for non-ghost causes and the footage is clear and in HD. I want real evidence. It's not fake BS. these videos are the only way I can ghost hunt because I can't afford equipment or travel and I'm a coward.
Older paranormal nightmare is solid. Some videos are ehh but they never add additional music on their investigations.

I never believed slapped ham's bull before but I'll always remember when he included a clip from the TH-camr "Papa Jake" who tries to catch "bigfoot" in a box fort, it is clearly completely fake and just a joke video on Jake's part and now I'm convinced Ham's channel is a parody because there's no way it could be serious, I've often considered sending in a faked image to see if he would include it
Slapped Ham showed his colors a few months ago with an entry called "Goblin of Akron". It was a short video of a pdf lolcow inAkron OH who people call the Goblin because of his looks and habits (not bathing, never leaving his room in the attic, bed bug bites, etc) when he looks out the window. While it was hilarious, his backstory of it being an abandoned house, which is impossible since there are almost daily videos from the guy not to mention countless police bodycam videos from there (over 110 the last year I believe) just shows how he makes stuff up. I figure he saw people mentioning the "Goblin", didn't look into it and just made up a story for a quick entry.

I watched john wolfes video when it premiered last night and i must say, I love johns and yous 2 channelss, soooo good! There's a video u featured not long back where a bike was zooming along by itself and you thought it was a electric bike on full power but John Wolfe pointed out it was obviously on a car roof rack and u just couldn't see the car. .. so between you the debunk Was solved....you're channel's are easily now my favourite. I used to like watching Nukes top 5 until the last couple of videos he put out. I think it was the one with the ghost bike there was 2 differnt videos in that post that had the exact same faces peeking out between the doors that look like the lady from the movie The Grudge. Now I know he's just throwing things out without vetting it hoping no one catches it

I don't really like leaving comments but I just wanted to say I really appreciate that paranormal community on TH-cam has people who aren't afraid to debunk and call out when other creators manipulate or fake footage like this, quite a few very popular paranormal channels edit or add sounds to the clips they show to make it seem like more happens than what was shown in the original clips and mislead their viewers into thinking something more was captured, sadly a lot of real channels just aren't as interesting to mainstream because there isn't all the sensationalization that gets people to click, so the real channels get buried by the fake ones
John Wolfe is one of the more intelligent people I have run across. I also like Noah Faraday and how he investigates. About Nuke top 5...UGH! So disappointing. I have known for quite some time that he was full of the brown stuff. The thing is that channel was one of the first channels I watched when I was trying to educate myself on the mysteries of the paranormal. I have grown a lot since then and it's unfortunate that I had to learn through being lied to so damn much.
Noah is awesome. Good people. I don’t know John personally but I love his channel. Really enjoy his debunks and perspectives.

I'll admit I have still been subscribed to a few top 5 channels, because I like watching and debunking while laughing at them, but that Ghosts on Trent clip pissed me off way too much to stay subscribed any longer.
I can't stand bizzarbub, slapped ham or most of these damn channels. Over playing the sound with loud music, putting Jump scares, manipulation of the story's and "leaving it up to you to decide" shooting down all credibility. Love how they say copyright when they're not the original owner but they all use the same videos and repeatedly repost it over and over.
Nuke eventually totally banned Caspersight from reacting to his videos at all and pretty much refused to engage with him about it.
As cs said he didn't care if vid's are fake, just if they're creepy. I lost all respect.

I understand and respect debunking in the pursuit of truth. To bring the prospect of the supernatural not only being true, but to try to help to understand it. The Top 5 channels don't pursue truth, they pursue Entertainment. And while though a victimless crime, should it be called out?
Why do people watch paranormal clips? Morbid curiosity? A curiosity borne of a deep primal fear of the dark? The supernatural? When someone watches a clip and gets a chill and a thrill are most viewers interested in it being real? I'm not saying don't debunk! The total opposite. I'm a subscriber to you and Wolfe for a reason.
On a personal note I have experienced true paranormal activities and was obsessed with finding other cases. Seeing fake and edited clips annoy me but I would not message an OP to stop. I'd just wouldn't watch the channel. I found myself watching Caspersight less and less bc even tho he is very entertaining I feel he overreacts to obviously fake clips lol. Still entertaining tho!

I’m so glad I found both you and John. I always had an interest in the paranormal and investigation, but while watching videos from people like nuke and chills I always had feelings about things being really off. At the time I didn’t have a base for explaining why other than I just didn’t believe it, other than obvious fakes being obvious. Now I actually have a way to explain not just the thought process to people for looking at it critically, but thanks to you I’ve learned a lot on the technology side of noticing fakery. It’s made it so much easier to prove to people I know that the video they are watching is fake instead of it being their belief vs my feeling. I also agree that the way these channels frame things is not only dishonest but purposeful psychological manipulation. “You decide” doesn’t mean much when you are purposely using dishonest framing and completely made up stories about clips to make people lean more towards not questioning it because it sounds more believable.
Nuke is actually how I found Twin Paranormal and Sam and Colby both lol
Since finding the debunking community I can't even enjoy watching these types of videos anymore. I went to watch one the other day, after not watching them for about a month, I sat there saying (out loud mind you) that's the wind, that's not a person its artifacting, etc lol.

You can, just think how you would watch Found footage movie. I never believe any of those videos, but I still find them entertaining to watch sometimes. Also keep in mind that some of those videos are actually ARG, so they are basically web series usually made by one or two people just having fun.
I've saying the thing that bothers me the most about top 5 channels (paranormal) is that they tend to drag the original creators, either by inventing backstories or adding sounds or effects to the video. It specially pisses me off when it's a small creator. Because, yes, a lot of people fake their paranormal experience, but these channels take it all out of proportion even when the original video has not claim of being paranormal, or not to that extent. All are horrible, these channels, but Nuke is specially terrible, he's arrogant in the way he talks down on everyone else.

Yeah, I would be PISSED if I posted a video of me in the woods with my dog that looked creepy, and someone put a sound clip and storyline on it. It would make ME look like I was lying/scamming people, which is not okay.
@@JWildberry There was recently this one video of a women and her dog in the "woods", where she's preparing to take photo session of her dog. Then she apparently hears someone screaming bloody murder and her only reaction is "oh, no. You ok?". She then continues to finish photo session.
Now if this wasn't already huge red flag as this is NOT how someone would behave in situation like that, I also recognized the screaming. It's from a short movie on YT about skinwalker and audio file is taken from that movie.
The funniest shit? There's an obviously moving van in the background, you can even see part of the road, but bunch of people in comment section went "OH MY GOD IT"S SOME SORT OF CREATURE LURKING AROUND!" Like dude, it's super obvious it's road and some van\car partly visible.
It's reminds me when Chills uploads a video of most obvious plastic bag in the wind and then goes on and on about it being "demonic entity or evil spirit". Like dude it's freakin' bag, Chill out.

Amy and husband, Jarrad have travelled around Australia, and internationally to haunted locations. If something they find is not "paranormal", they themselves will debunk it. So the fourth video, I actually know that voice. That is the voice of one of the guys of Paranormal Quest. That was a very old video as I recall but it still left you scratching your head for answers that made sense.

Nukes and Slapped Ham both constantly say shit like "you decide" or "let me know in the comments what you think about the video". They're not lying, and most people understand that these videos are fake. It's just entertainment.

Great seeing the love for John Wolfe, his deep dives and research is top notch. I remember him hunti g down the manual for voice recording devices some ghost hunters were using and demonstrated the "ghostly" behaviour was just the devices acting normally in certain modes.
Every time I hear Nuke's voice, I hear "Burger King Foot Lettuce."

I honestly tried to give Caspersight a fair go, but he's either not very bright and extremely gullible, or willingly misleading his audience. I'm not trying to crap on the guy, I'm sure he's a decent enough bloke, but given his reactions, I've got to say I don't think he's that good an actor, I think he was possibly dropped on the head as a baby. I tried, but his channel is like one of those "Paranormal Caught on Camera" shows, only if the experts didn't know that they were lying about videos that are clearly faked and already debunked. I honestly cannot fathom why Caspersight has the following that he does and how he manages to garner the views that he does.

The Top 5 channels are a joke. Biggest issue I have with a lot of it? Are those horrendous TikTok videos that are total trash.

It's funny, your point around 01:00 - I went off Nuke and Slapped Ham a while back for a similar reason. There's a little known TV series back in the 90s in Japan called 'Tales of Terror from Tokyo'. One of the clips they both used (of a silhouette behind two children looking out a window) was from that show. Probably due to the King Edward quality footage (top end potato quality) they thought it might fly.

I'm still really new to uploading to TH-cam so i don't understand the whole "fair use" completely but it seems to me that taking someone elses content and totally changing it to something it wasn't shouldn't be covered under "fair use" - seems like theft and slander to me.🤔

@@LadyHeathersLairhe originally used to do that. I used to watch him years ago when he was a list channel and he could be quite funny. Then he joined the ghost video scene and I immediately lost interest.

I used to watch his stuff when I was a teenager, but now that I'm older and realizing the no moral code he has, I don't bother anymore. I hope GhostOnTrent can resolve this. The fact that I watched stuff like this in my teens... gross.
