Thank you for covering this! Been following the development of eInk and especially Spectra 6 for years and am super excited to see it coming to consumers in form of these frames!
This is very cool. I'd be interested once the price drops. I am an enthusiastic photographer, and this is, almost, exactly what I was hoping for when it comes to frames. I like to rotate my photos regularly, and this is a better solution than what I do now with prints.
Yea im a photographer as well, being able to cycle the art out is super cool and not having to open up the frame and change the print. Hope the price comes down but stay tuned I found another company that has a cheaper one I'll be making a vid on
Would love to see various sizes, e.g. an even smaller one to put on a desk or one large like the A1 prototype but with a smaller passe-partout, etc. Definitely looking forward for those to release to the market!
Although I suspect we have to wait a few years for the 120hz versions 🙂, these ≈0,005hz models look great. Can likely google it for myself, but interesting info for the “image-pro” are such things as color gamut size, black point and white point. The saturated images displayed are those who give the best result with, what I suppose is, RGBK partitive color mixing. Cyan seas, magenta sunsets, and possibly also bright yellows may be harder to push. Not to forget is that it isn’t only about the technology, but about the processing that can map the gamut of “real world colors” (or your own jpgs) into this “pointillist color space”.

Me too, stay tuned I'm putting a video on another Spectra 6 device soon too
I love the concept. Once the price drives down, I can see it replacing digital photo frames and if you could schedule changes, that would be awesome.
I think the price will start to come down at some point. Definitely looks very impressive!
This is actually so cool. Reminds me of those prototypes from Sharpe
Nvm they're related 😅 Can't wait for the technology to grow

Well explained. Thanks. Great technology!
You're welcome!

Spectacular. Advertisers will LOVE this technology.
