  • Hi everyone, this is my room tour at Henry Price in the University of Leeds. Listed below are some of the linked items in my room as well as a review of the accommodation.
    Items:

    Review:
    Henry Price is an accommodation at the University of Leeds. It is neighbouring St George's Field and is on campus. There are five blocks, each with five floors. There is a shared kitchen with no common room. Bathrooms are shared between two people and are of a good size.

    Hi! I would like to know whether there is any lift provided in Henry Price Residences. Thank you 😊

      Hi! There is only one block that has a lift - B block. For the others, you have to use the stairs.

      From what I can remember, the mattress is a standard single size so a deep fitted sheet will fit okay x

    thanks for this! I've applied to Leeds to start in September just wondering what is a quiet self catered accomodation?

      I’m not too sure how it works, but if you have applied for a quiet room, you should be paired with people who have also opted for a quiet room. This may mean that you are positioned on a higher floor or face St George’s Field.

    You might not be at the uni anymore but on the website it says En suite is this what they mean by it so you have to share your bathroom?

      I am not but I do believe that there are a limited number of rooms that are ensuite, the rest are jack-and-jill.

    hi - dont suppose you know how likely it is that you'll get your first choice accommodation? i applied for henry price but ive seen people been given lupton instead - does this happen often?

      Hi Alice, unfortunately I didn’t have this experience as I was lucky enough to be awarded my first choice at Henry Price. However, I did also know of a lot of people who applied for Henry Price and didn’t get it. The university, I would think, will try and provide everyone with their first choice based on their living preferences and requirements. For example, online I opted for a quiet room in a female only flat - so maybe for some certain cases, there were only a few applicants and so they were able to accommodate them. But overall, I think it is just down to luck! If you don’t get Henry Price, try not to be disheartened as most of the other accommodations are equally as nice - but not as close to campus! If it’s any recollection, I did receive my accommodation ‘offer’ quite late on and much later than my friends at the other accommodations. I hope this helps and you get to be at Henry Price - it is a nice place to live! x

    Hi just wondering if you get a sink in your room or not because on the uni website you do but it looks like you didn’t

      Hi. The Henry Price rooms only have Jack-and-Jill bathrooms and no additional sinks.

    What is the weekly rent here?

    • @ButterflyHeaven72
      @ButterflyHeaven72  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it was just less than £100 a week. The rent can vary depending on which room you are in - the guide prices are on the Leeds University Accommodation website.
