I’m still pretty new to Texas surf fishing and with similar leaders and circle hooks for bullreds. Still trying to learn here, and would appreciate some guidance.
Question about setting the hook on circlehooks. I see that u r setting the hook pretty hard on those circlehooks. Ive also been told to not set the hook on CH. what is your take on that? Or what r some technique and suggestion to engage rod and reel when they hit the bait. Thank you a ton!

What shock knot u use from braid to mono casting? Good content

My top shot is a couple yards of 100# solid braid tied to 30# mono with a Alberto Knot.
