Thanks for the new video again ! :) Now the AP2 image seems to me to be a bit overcolored sometimes ( 4:05 ), and from 14:41 onwards the video motion seems to be not smooth and jumps a bit every few frames. Super sharp image of AP2, but I still like the sharpness of the face a bit more on OA5. The face also looks a bit noisy on AP2. They could do something about that and it would be nice to have an option for these then, to be able to adjust them in 3 easy steps (For both Color and Face sharpness). Insta360's communication is very passive for me. They could write me a letter saying that there is a delay in the arrival of AP2 and to be patient, because if I didn't hear this from you last time, I wouldn't know the reason until today. I think it's better than before. Also, I think the focus distance might have been improved to be closer focusing than before. It's probably the TH-cam processing, but when I look at my Ace Pro 2 videos on my laptop, the image quality is clearer and sharper than it does on TH-cam.
Example. Pause your video at 07:55 and explain me why you can not see any details of your button in your jacket with ace pro. But your button is clearly visible with action 5.

why insta doesn´t seem like 4k?? looks like it´s not properly focused and the colors are not realistic as dji? It becomes much more noticeable when you focus on the face. this can be corrected changing the configuration on the camera or in a firmware update? thanks!!
These cams are basically used in auto mode that why I made my videos in auto. Soon I will drop a video about my fav settings For day and night ;) You gave me this idea I will work on it . Thanks
At the 5:00 minute mark and at 7:45 while you were walking past the buildings, the walls appear on the Action Pro 2 to have a reddish hue to them. Although the AP2 showed more detail the color appears to be off. Which camera was more accurate with regard to the actual wall colors?
It was sunrise the ambiant light was towards red. Though non has the true colors here. It's the white balance for both that was off a little bit to the cold side on one camera and s bit to warm side on the others

I am more inclined to buy the action 5 because I feel that for vlogs it's way clearer and has a more focused picture on the person in front of the camera than the ace pro 2. I understand that the ace pro 2 in many way processes better but most of the time I feel that the sharpness looks almost fake. And in the action 5 looks more natural. What to you think? Great test. I'm going to have to test out the new firmware myself. One of my viewers on my recent video pointed out that Voice Enhancement was now available in Pure Video mode, which I pointed out on my latest video wasn't available. I also noticed that setting the ISO max doesn't seem to stick when you power the camera off and back on even thought the setting displays the same on the screen. You can test this by going into a dark room, setting the ISO range down until it is underexposed and then turn the camera off and back on. You will see the exposure is way too high for the max ISO you have set and then when you toggle the setting, it corrects. This is a pain because I want to set the max ISO to something like 800 and use Pure Video whenever it is underexposed to take full advantage of Pure Video instead of having so much noise in my shots that I cannot see. That would be huge!

@@photorabz no, but some folks commenting on my video did and they seem legitimate. One of them said that after it was fogged it left a permanent issue on what sounded like their sensor from what they described. It was someone filming in Malaysia in high humidity. In the past I have had my other cameras fog up but not any action cams going from an air condition space to a hot humid environment, but it was not permanent. I would expect that on the outside part of the lens it would be impossible to completely prevent fogging in certain scenarios, just like it's impossible to prevent fogging completely on diving and snorkeling masks and goggles, but if it is in the interior part of the lens on a camera that should be essentially airtight, this could be an issue.
That's what I mentionned in the live on Friday. When we close the lens guard in a humid area we risk to keep some water vapor inside. When the camera will heat up that might make fog. But I can't see why that would affect the sensor as for the sensor is INSIDE and not exposed at all
The audio on the Ace Pro 2 with the DJI Mic 2 via Bluetooth still sounds a bit muffled compared to the camera microphone. Is it possible to improve it by changing the gain?
I have a question if I am going to save my videos on my ACEPRO into HDD do I need to save both of this ( VID and LRV ) files or just VID files is fine?

Night Mode was enhanced in the previous firmware I talked about it in my videos. This one is basically here to add new functions such as dji mic mini can be connected and so on
The Ap2 is not available yet in India. Try to go the webstore of insta360 as you usually do search for ap2 if it worked use my creator code at the end INRI29S
Will be nice to have the option of Non HDR with action 5 pro. I see the white balance is much better with action 5 in your video. I've also found out the. RAW photos from the action 5 is very distorted compared to my old osmo action 1 raw photo. I wish they can fix that. The edges are too distorted also.They got it right with the first one.
New Ace Pro 2 firmware is better. Unfortunately, Ace Pro 2 PureVideo doesn't have Horizon Lock (45 degrees) as in Ace Pro 1. I hope Insta360 will bring this feature back in the next firmware.
I hope so. I don't like that horizon 45 lock btw I like seeing tilty things when walking or in the car I try to adjust as much as possible but I like to see how the road is and how I move my hand with the camera

It's the white balance on both it's a little bit off to one side or another. It was sunrise so ambiant tones were red already. Both should work on a better auto white balance reading
So far the Action 5 is a huge downgrade from the Action 4 for daylight video. I have the Action 5 and Ace Pro and Ace Pro 2. Both of my Ace Pro cameras have better image quality than my Action 5. Action 5 has soft to some could say blurry video. I much prefer sharp detailed video. DJI has chosen to sacrifice image quality for battery life in the Action 5.
The Ace Pro 2 looks better. Every time you do a side-by-side with the Action 5, the Action 5 makes your skin look plasticky smooth. It must be the horrible HDR you can't turn off.

Looks like OA5 is 1 big disappointment. The image quality is poor,soft and lacks of details in brigter parts of the image..what about the control over the distortion. There isn't such at all. With the newest firmware its even worse and why dji is so shaky baky at nigt?.Ace P2 present humongous amount of magenta all over the image. Those new AI chips make the quality bad and unnatural and they don't do the job very well. Looks like that they apply some postprocessing in camera which i don't like and it's whey overcooked. U can't achieve better dinamic range whit some chip. I would like to have 1 inch sensor 5 6 k Res out of DJI and its achievable with aperture like 4 or higher and then those chips will be probably productive because there will be available information to squeeze and modify something similar to DJI OP3. And i am waiting for OP4 with the newest 1" sensor or 2 of them and 20mm and 50mm lens like DJI Mavik Air 3s. Greetings from Bulgaria.

For that you would have to compare side by side old firmware vs new firmware. The ace pro 2 looks good, but again how much has visibly been improved its impossible to tell right now.

Both colors are a bit off. One to the warm tones the other to cold tones

Focus distance is shorter on dji for sure. But do you want to vlog at 30cm away ?both colors are a bit off. Auto white balance is not good on both

I think that the Qoocam 3 Ultra 8K could compete with Dji and Insta 360, it would deserve tests and comparisons in my opinion

It will always sound muffled. The Bluetooth protocole for dji mic do not allow third party cameras to use it to the fully (same with GoPro)

The lrv is Low Res Video. This will allow you to preview files quickly on ur camera and open them quickly in insta360 app or studio

The ace pro 2 sure had a lot of noise when you zoomed in 200 %. 🤔

Well dji is a good one also... They went with a camera that complements the action 4 and not replaces it
You may have a faulty OA5, what I do see though is a flat tone curve in the mid tones that needs sorting out.
