This is not a troll comment just an opinion but I think Phil needs more conviction when asking the tougher questions. Well done for asking it but then when Matt is answering there is a lot of stuttering, fair plays and you can sense the reverse beeping type noises. You are right to ask the questions we all want answers to, back yourself when receiving his answer. Great interview as always.
I do understand it to an extent but ultimately, if you have the conviction to ask the question, you also need the conviction to accept the response. Life lesson to anyone reading this by the way.
Phil has build up Online Darts with its connections and privileges by continuously creating positive publicity to the PDC. It's understandable that he doesn't want to risk not being able get interviews like this anymore. The issue is that there is no critical journalism in darts in the first place, and I don't know if it is even possible or desired. Take a look at Germany for example. We sometimes even have Philip Brzezinski, PDC Europe Head of Sports and Master of Ceremonies on the Euro Tour, acting as the main commentator on German television channel Sport1, and advertising the upcoming Euro Tours and Darts Galas in Germany every 20 minutes. He actually does a good job, but it just goes to show how the media and PDC are far too intertwined and there is no neutral coverage at all.
