DON'T TELL HIM NOT TO WORRY HE LOVES YOU! I have so much to say about their relationship i'm gonna have to come back and do some kind of analysis when i have the energy to give you a genuine rundown on my mess of opinions regarding them tbh😭

Yizhen probably wouldn't understand how Yin Yu can care for him and dislike him at the same time, and anyway, since he doesn't understand, he'd sweep it away, thinking if it was so complicated, then it was best not to think about it, but that would probably make Yin Yu even madder. If he'd taken all this time to come and explain himself because it was so important and overwhelming to him, it was because he'd gathered the mental determination to talk about it for real. To have Quan Yizhen brush it off then, would make him incredibly angry, because it’d feel almost like brushing off all the shitty things that happened to Yin Yu because of it. But Quan Yizhen, for all I love him, idiot that he is, he has almost no chance of understanding that Yin Yu would like to explain himself and lay it all out, if not to rebuild in the present, then at least to leave the past behind and put everything to rest. Yin Yu is so hung up on his own past wrongs, stuck in his past fondness, and aggravated by Yizhen’s present obliviousness that he doesn't know what to do but lash out. And Yizhen is so unaware that you can love someone and still want to hurt them. He’s so genuine in his affections and his inaffections that to hurt someone he cares about, or to care about someone he wants to hurt, is completely out of his emotional range. He’s deeply caring, and just as deeply wrathful, but they are opposites, and kept completely separate. Everything he seems to feel, he really feels it. He isn’t able to lend his mind to the possibility of things being more complicated than they seem. And Yin Yu is unable to remain calm and patient, to stretch his own care for Qi Ying long enough to remain calm to speak with him. They’re not the right people to have problems with each other, when one’s secretive, and one’s so upfront that he can’t comprehend the obvious reality that not all is fixed and that there are still secrets between them. They care for each other so much, it’s just that things are too complicated right now with the vast differences in their communication styles. And you can tell they really do, because Yin Yu gave his life in one last effort to help Yizhen, who proceeded to carry the body, not parting with it until he thought he had a chance for revenge. They’d do anything for each other. It’s just that the resentment has pushed a gap between them they don’t know how to bridge. I’m confident that at some point in their immortal forevers, they’ll have time to figure it out, but goodness… Right now, everything’s insane. My poor boys, bro. 😢
@@ayuumorienjoyer5913 You hit the nail on the head lol. To be honest I cannot see them as lovers for this exact purpose. There will always be resentment in Yin Yu when he sees Yizhen and I think that it would be very unhealthy. They honestly remind me of Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian a little from MDZS... cos JC both loves and resents WWX but unlike Yizhen, WWX believes that JC hates him when JC doesn't actually. I do believe that they will be able to work things out but to do that, Yin Yu would have to stop hating himself a little and stop running away from confrontation. Yizhen on the other had, I feel has to learn to let Yin Yu come to him on his own though if he does that, Yin Yu may never come HAHAHAHA. In all seriousness, I think it would have to in love meddling from Xie Lian to get them to work things out and while they may never go back to the shixiong-shidi relationship, I have hope that they can at least be friends.
Poor Yin Yu 🥺He deserves so much better
He really does🥺

I hope they can too, their unreal lifespans give me hope. They have time, if nothing else. My boys😭
