Great plot and well acted. ML is handsome and a very good actor. He conveys emotions effortlessly. It was so funny when ML was pretending to be drunk with assist from grandma to get FL tqo stay overnight. The winks and expressions between grandson and grandma are hilarious and endearing. ML is shameless in his pursuit of FL. The arc about the mother is draggy. Too bad production money was not spent of FL's clothes. She wears 1 dress most of the time
I have to watch this on mute. Why did you overlay Korean songs and not Chinese songs ehich would fit so much better the theme and storytelling? It's so obviously different that it destroys the mood. The instrumentals were okay but volume needed tweaking? Not an enjoyable watching experience with sound on at all. WN: 17:15 This scene is so funny with them discussing how bad the SFL is at acting; that an actor should properly display the right attitude and body language that fits the scene and character. However, the FL actress is complete failing at that exact thing with her lack of proper body positioning, body language, and delivery in the scenes where the ML is holding her after being st*bbed. 🤣🤣

They do it because of the fame of the songs they use, which is attached to some pretty popular K-dramas or K-pop groups. They are using it to manipulate the audience feelings towards what they are watching. These productions are basically low budget Wattpad dramatized short show. It would be fine if it wasn't so obvious what they were doing and if it fit. There are great Chinese music they could use but it's less way less popular in the international market.
The emperor killed his own son and heir? Was it someone else's baby? I have never seen a man kill own baby let alone a king who wants heirs in his sons. Weird.
