Two weeks ago someone tried to get our enclosed trailer off of a job and they pryed on the coupler but it didn't budge. Saved my business a lot of money. Those coupler locks are also designed to lock the trailers chains too.

Around here thieves don't even bother hitching to the hitch ball. They just wrap some tow chains around the trailer tongue, wrap the other end around their hitch and away they go.
Brian did say no lock is impervious to being picked or stolen .
Interesting, I won one of these from you years ago on a giveaway, it's been great. Very strong unit. Mine has the inside piece like the newer design that wraps around the outside but mine isn't welded in the front like that. So I must have V2 you have V1 and now V3. I strongly recommend these. My open utility trailer gets parked in the garage (tight fit) but I think I can still make these locks work even though they add length to the tongue.

Yeah proven products are absolutely awesome, worth every penny. If someone can get that lock off they deserve that piece of equipment time to call the insurance company lol
Be aware that tubular key locks are quite weak and can be easily opened with an easily obtained impressioning tool. A puck lock with like a disc detainer core is a big improvement.
I have the wheel lock. I like it so far the only bad part I've noticed is when it's not on level ground it is a little difficult to slide closed and lock. That is no fault of proven locks though

Hey Brian so I was wondering about your enclosed trailer sure tracI bought a cheaper trailer and it sounds like it’s falling apart already and I’ve had it only for a year and a half I was looking at the Sure online Wondering if it’s built pretty beefy

need to do something with your chains. the easiest way to bypass these locks is to not even mess with them. thieves will put the tongue of the trailer below the trucks hitch wrap the chains around the trucks hitch then lift the jack and drive off. its actually faster than properly hooking up a trailer

For the wheel lock: What stops someone from just taking the one wheel off and running it 3 wheels down the road?
Or take the wheel off and put a different one on
Ya it should have a pkate covering the lugs
put the safety chains inside the lock housing or someone can just hook up the chains to their truck and drag the trailer to a more secluded place to work on the locks.
I have 2 and they work get the wheel lock also
Know this doesn’t pertain to the video. But I was looking into a chute blocker. I want to get one, but just getting that and mulch blades, would that mulch without buying a kit?
It will help but a mulch kit for mulching is the better way to go if you want perfectly mulched clippings
I love the look. Just my chains don’t fit in the slide, I don’t like the movement as a result. If there is play, in my opinion there is opportunity of removal.

Question 🙋♂️ if you leave the latch unlocked and pull it upward, does it release it entirely? Or do you ALSO have to put a lock on the latch
It will drop the insert yes. The shield does cover the piece that goes inside, but not the latch. You can't get the part that slides in off because the shield clamps around it, if that makes sense. No wiggle room.

I like my ft Knox locks one better. These are nice but you can put the chains inside the ft Knox one and they’re cheaper.
Don't forget to lock the chains inside the shroud. A thief can just use your chains and drive away. P.S. You may not like the lockpicking lawyer on youtube. He drilled right though the Puck lock in 30 seconds and took it off immediately.

You can lock your trailer chains in the hitch lock because people can drag your trailer by the chains and steal them that way

The lock picking lawyer can open anything. Don’t mix up the tongue puck and the door they are different, the door has a larger opening than the tongue so the tongue won’t fit the doors well. Found this out when I had to replace all my lock for my trailers to keep the keyed the same. Old key and new key are not the same style.

FYI you forgot to lock up the chains as well. You need to lock the chains so that a thief can't use them to steal them. Checkout Proven Locks page for proper installation.
