Also another piece of advice here for multi way bomb pots: when you flop an unbeatable hand on one board and nothing on the other, you want to bet small and keep as many players in the pot as possible. So people will keep putting in money drawing dead since at best you can only chop the pot. Wait til the river to lay the hammer down to try and take the pot down so the pot will be as large as possible. Just a little technique I learned.
This is good advice. To be honest, I was completely lost on how to play it when you have a strong hand on one board with nothing on the other board. Do you want them to call or fold? Is it a value bet of bluff? It’s a completely different strategy.
@@panicpoker best case scenario is you can get 3-4 callers all the way to the river, then you can pot it and get everyone to fold and take down the entire pot. Otherwise you’re surely only chopping. It’s rare for a plo player to call down to the river and fold though.
@@panicpokeralso even if you chop on the river, by keeping more players in as long as you can it’s going to be a bigger pot that you chop. If you go heads up from the flop and chop on the river then you win basically no money because you’re just chopping the antes.
One thing you have to learn about bomb pots is drawing to hands that aren’t the nuts is a terrible idea. Hands like that bad two pair (second bomb pot hand) you had on the turn have terrible reverse implied odds because even if you make your boat someone else is likely drawing to a better full house. If you aren’t drawing to a nutted hand then just ditch it. Alot of players learn this the hard way. It’s PLO with two boards, you will see players turning over the nuts at the river more often than not.
@@panicpokercorrect. PLO is a game of making the nuts. Until you learn the nuances of the game you really just want to draw to nutted hands or just fold.
That’s what they say. Reduces the chances your opponent holds an ace. Somehow, they always seems to have an ace though 😆 In all seriousness he probably had a pocket pair. Something like 44-99. Not sure what he is thinking on the River 🤷♂️
The games in Texas are better in my opinion. More action, less regs just sitting around waiting for pocket AA. You can find good games in Vegas but you have to hunt for them. Seems like every table I sat at in Texas was a good game. That said, the play in Texas is high variance so you have stomach the swings.
Texas is so “free” there is not a single legal casino in the state. Las Vegas is king with 24 / 7 action including private games. But you need to know how to play

I’ve heard a lot of PLO players give this same advice. Seems most of their profits come from people who draw to the 2nd or 3rd best hand.

Raise bigger with KK with so many limpers before. This is Texas! Raise to 40 and get 2 callers.
Poker in Texas is.....different. Appreciate feedback!
On the bomb pot with 73 full house. it does not lose to A5 or A3 (two pair).
Yep, I misspoke. Happens often 😆

On the KK hand, 2 aces on the flop are better than 1. It reduces the chances your opponent has an ace
Also, you don't beat any Ax hands. I don't know what he's thinking.

Who won the Super Bowl?
Taylor Swift
What the heck are you talking about. Your analysis of the 73 hand makes zero sense even being a plo novice
Yep, another comment pointed this out. I misspoke on the voiceover. Too many cards in PLO double board hands 🤪
