Running back Demien Martinez has not put up jaw-dropping numbers through eight weeks of the season, but he always seems to make impact plays in big moments for the Hurricanes. Playing in a split backfield, Martinez has rushed for 381 yards and six touchdowns on 78 carries. He also had 10 receptions for 130 yards.
