Parallel compression is a great way to get extra excitement into a drums track. It's easy to set up, and this video shows three ways it can be done. Note that the audio level may be lower than in other TH-cam videos. This is so that there is ample headroom for the peaks of the drums without any need for limiting, which clearly would affect the sound texture that this video demonstrates.
