Isn't it sad that so many people still can't get past skin colour. By this year in 2024 you would think that people would finally just be able to appreciate one another, whether it be a friend, or a partner, just for their authenticity & for the fact that they love themselves in a most healthy way, for being the amazing & fantastic people that they already are. People need to stop pigeonholeing others & just accept one another for all the great attributes, inside & out, which they already posess. You could tell by the way she talked thet Lena Horne grew up around highly educated people. The woman oozed class and elegance. I remember her doing a commercial for The Gap where she was wearing jeans and she still looked elegant! I never understood why Hollywood would stick folks of color into these musical numbers that usually had nothing to do with the plot of the movie and wouldn't give them credit. I'd always wonder who these artists were and want to know. Later on I learned. Such an exotic beauty. Never knew that her voice was high pitched. I often saw her as a look alike of Audrey Hepburn,as a child... Was so sad when I learnt that Audrey passed in her 60s. Hearing that Lena Horne passed this century in her 90s is abit of a relief to me,cos I often asked myself where both of them were until this year

I love how open and transparent Lena was, but there were a lot of problematic circumstances that she and others had that honestly, heavily contributes to the discourse in the black community today. I'm glad that mixed and bi-racial people now have their own space to feel seen and heard in. Hopefully, we can see growth within the black community by removing the "one drop" rule and widen our own spaces as well. Lena accomplished a lot of amazing things. Thank you for covering her!
Always a beautiful talented lady and I really never thought she looked white in films or in childhood pictures. she just looked light skinned but in my family I have lighter skin folks and darker brown folks so I guess i am used to our shades varying

Stinky tofu is sooooo good! I just had it in Taiwan last week.
When someone is good to you, truly race is not the issue only the character.
Her and I share the same BD, June 30th. A beautiful soul who suffered the nonsense of Hollywood with grace. RIP 🖤
She tried everything to be happy for herself. This was over whelming. Such a beautiful lady.
Can you do a documentary on forgotten star, Diana Sands? She died very young and very little is written about her.
Lena had a rough go of it at that time but she did what she had to do. I can't really speak on it otherwise because God what an awful time to be alive as a black woman period. 😐❤
She's always been an Icon to me!
Great documentary thank you for putting it all together
I have 4 of her albums she was so Beautiful and Elegantly put together You also have a great voice it relaxes me love your page I do fall asleep but not because I'm bored it's just it's so relaxing my BLIND friend says he loves your page too❤❤Thank you
I love how you've edited the video portions of your newer videos. It looks like a scrap book or something.
I first saw stormy weather on BET and fell in love with Ms. Horne. I never knew she went through all of this. I remember her always being very active about speaking up about racism. She was such a gem 💎. I remember her in the Wiz. She was a beautiful person inside and out.
Lena was a beautiful actress and international icon. She did what she had to do in order to survive and left a lasting legacy of opening doors for future Black actresses.
I’ve always loved Lina Horne! As an ethnically Mexican lady, people have always said that I look like Lina Horne, even when I was a child.
Lena
Such an exotic beauty. Never knew that her voice was high pitched. I often saw her as a look alike of Audrey Hepburn,as a child... Was so sad when I learnt that Audrey passed in her 60s. Hearing that Lena Horne passed this century in her 90s is abit of a relief to me,cos I often asked myself where both of them were until this year
Great video & content ! Thank you for doing such an awesome job! RIH Ms Lena Horne, classy , beautiful strong black woman! Black elegance & black excellence! 😀💕❤️
🖤 to a beautiful woman and icon 🖤
She reminds me so much of Alicia Keys. Very beautiful and simple.
When I was a little girl I would seee her on TV and just be awestruck by her beauty. She had a regal demeanor and classy style like my great grandma and grandmother
Such a beautiful soul 🖤😇
Great job on video and photos She stood on her true 🖤🖤🖤😂😂grandson like look at her when he watching Wiz over and over 🖤🖤
