I too fasted two years in a row and decided after that I would convert. Even though a Muslim told me my fasting would not COUNT.... I told him that it didn't matter because this was my path to Allah. When you are a revert take it in stages. It is difficult to give up alcohol ( not for me) and pork ( the most difficult for me). I hope people don't judge...we all have our own path to Allah.

In luife we go throught tests, those tests are to test our relation to Allah and to grant us strength, stability and let us grow and change to better people. We are tested most of the time through financial problems, health problems and family problems. If we are patient, we are rewarded and released from sin and granted wisdom. Allah tests mostly those whom He loves. What we can change, we should change, what we can not change we submit to Allah and face it with patience. I am sorry about your dear sister, but she is in good hands. May Allah protect you. Hold on to your faith no matter what happens, because your faith is a gift from your Creator.
