I read somewhere the internal lcd battery goes dead. I replaced my 850c lcd with a cheaper one. Bike works. I opened up the 850c, sure enough the internal battery is spot welded. I read 1.27v and but cant read what battery it is. 3.5v or 1.5v? I checked all connections. All continuity was working. It now works after putting it back together. I suspect a solder connection somewhere, or connector connection.

Hi, my name is Sam. I recently purchased electric bicycle 60 volt 1500 watt motor, 26 inch fat tire. My first right didn't go so well after riding for 5 miles when I stopt the bicycle starts moving on its own Without me touching throttle. I was losing also pedal assistant when I was driving. There is no sensors for Pedal assistant it works different way. The bicycle was also increasing speed without me controlling speed I didn't touch the throttle and I wasn't pedaling. Since the owners of the company are located in Chicago, they picked the bicycle after I report the problem. But they are telling me that they cannot find any issue with the bicycle. I present them three different videos with the problem. After I did my research including watching your video I realize that controller is responsible for all the problems that I was having with the bicycle riding for the first time. Any tots, what could possibly happen or what is happening? Thank you. Sam
My Schwinn E-Bike is new, the power comes on when its connected to the charger and infrequently when not connected. When not connected immediately after being connected it may switch on twice and then does not come back on again. Thanks
A problem I had with my e-bike was that my battery worked, all my connections were good, but it wouldn’t turn on. I contacted the dealer and they sent me a new display (screen on the bike which wouldn’t turn on). After connecting the new one, the bike turned on.
I have a diy style ebike, just got a branded one with the slide in battery. It charged, the built in taillight works but the thing won't power on. I hooked my other battery to it and it worked. Far as I can tell I'm just bypassing the blue and yellow wires the slide in battery would connect to. The blue one is tied in to the negative, the yellow goes to some connection, maybe brakes I dunno.
Same here. Had a problem with my Trek last year. Then it seemingly fixed itself. Now it’s not working. Battery is fully charged. Light does not go on and power doesn’t go on but display is on. This is aggravating. Paid A LOT for this piece of crap

hi this might be really useful as i just had a new battery installed in my etrike and it wasnt the right size they had to move the box forward so it fitted, but now when its been off for a long time it won't come on until after about 15 mins having left the switch on, then i can ride it, but if i stop somewhere for even 10 mins or so it wont come on again until again i leave it switched on for a while then eventually it goes. I will show your video to guy who modified the bike to make the new battery fit but if you have any thoughts i would appreciate it.
Hello Mark, Please perform a voltage check on the battery (full battery charge), and then perform one on the battery balancer (if you have one) and see if the voltages line up.
i received a new battery which was too big and the bike shop had to move the thing the battery plugs into and now when i switch it on the lcd will light up and go off but generally if i switch the battery off and on again it will light up and its powered up sometimes i have to do this multiple times before it powers up. Do you guys know what the problem is? Watching you video could it be the prongs arent lining up right? Any advice will be very much appreciated...

New battery is fully charged and motor felt normal before the loss of power. My controller would generally get pretty hot during my rides. The wires all look fine. Do you think it’s my controller?

Hello, Unfortunately we cannot comment on other eBikes, you'll want to get support from the brand you got the bike from. Most likely, it sounds like controller, but could be motor as well.

What about if your screen flash’s on for a second even if key is turned off then u wait few hours same thing the bike is new brought on line few months ago

Pay him to fix it, this guy is full of shit. If your pins are bad you need to get a new component as most people will be unable to replace the pins themselves.
I’d try fix it first. Maybe a toothpick might work to push the pins in place. You can also get a tweezerman tweezer, it’s a fine poin/tip and try to straighten the pins. If all fails, then replace. My display is a King Meter DW-LCD and the 2 wires are part of the assembly. The pins may be delicate so go lightly when working with them.

That’s not right. The first time I went to a bike shop, I got the “oh it’s an e-bike, that’s x more an hour. That should be BS, but that’s how our world rolls. RV mechanic rates are 30% and up, more than a regular mechanic. This video takes you through what I see as common or mutual approache(s). I checked for loose cables because when my Rad bike just disengaged from power, it was while I was riding over a bumpy road. I figured that something loosened. This video, BTW, isn’t worthless, it’s a great check off list that makes sense and if it was the first set wires that were damaged, the answer to the “then what” is to replace that. I ended up taking my bike to a Rad shop where the first thing they did, was to test it with another display, and it worked. So this bypasses all the possibilities. Can you have this done at a shop? So my display must have a loose part from the shock of the road. What I’m going to do, is open it up and see what detached or broke off. I’m guessing that things are soldered on a motherboard. If it looks ok, at this point I’ll buy the replacement and save myself the $40 hourly fee.

Hello, Sometimes during rough rides, cables can get caught up and damaged, or when unplugging and replugging for inspection, improper replugging can cause bent pins.
Same with me , water entered it my e bike and now it's not working, if I put my battery it will automatically turn on by itself and freeze the led display won't function@@RizeBikes
Found the power button because of this video. Never would've thought M standards for power 🤷🏼♂

Is it possible to get a new lcd that won't turn on? The old one turns on. we've eliminated the bike as the problem.
