My settings are amazing running at 55 frames in a lot of areas and planets consistently. With no frame generation on and default resolution. Just needs some fixing to your comfort but great video. In my opinion I seen the biggest change when I set the scaling mode in the SD settings
idk freddy. as. uch as i love my sd, im getting starfield on my series x. i think some games are better on pc or console compared to handhelds. luv ur vids brother. therapeutic and very helpful and informative.
Thank you bro 🙏😊 Yes, that's just a matter of taste. Many people don't have any other console than the deck 🙈 If you have the opportunity to play somewhere else, I would definitely recommend that, but if you only have a Steam deck it's ok 😊
If you lock 30 fps with frame generation you will have anything but good game play, it will be extremely laggy, locking 30 fps is only possible without frame generation
hmm i think it's a better experience on the xbox, but you could stream it from your xbox to the deck and you'd have the same experience theoretically :/ but that's not to say it's bad to play on the deck or not a good experience, but i think on the xbox you get a more consistent fps experience
30 fps lock is only possible without frame generation, otherwise you have terrible input lag, and you can set 1400mhz, but it has a direct effect on the frame time and leads to lag.. I chose the settings for a reason 😅
@@FreddysGamingBenchmarks yeah I mean unlocked fps. I don't know how much input lag frame gen adds is it similar to the input lag using a wireless controller on PC.
Hey sir. Could you re upload this but after adding the starfield ultra settings mod from ziyakid on Nexus mods. Basically it's a fps mods that lets you run ultra settings and you get 20-30fps more. Its literally just an ultra.ini file that you copy and paste into the starfield content folder. It'll replace the original ultra.ini file. Then switch settings from low to ultra for it to take effect, enable frame generation and you should see a huge boost in fps
bro what are you talking about? the game has implemented fsr 3, the deck's own fsr is based on fsr 1, I use steam os 3.7 because it has more updates and for me it runs much more stable in games than 3.5
Looks like a Bethesda game, people will enjoy it in sbout 10 years time when its finished and can run on normal hardware
I think they've worked well on it so far compared to the release... but yes, there's still a lot of room for improvement until it's really "perfect".

yes that's true, you can now adjust it very well if you work on it :)
Its 60fps on consoles now, and it seems decent on steamdeck now I don't get the complaints... hopefully the DLC will be good looking forward to it
yes I think so too, I'm happy so far :) and I'm also looking forward to the DLC :)
Thank you for sharing, love your videos!
No problem bro and thank you 🙏😊

At this state just locked it to a constant 30fps for a smoother experience.

one step closer....
yes :) let's see, they are only small steps, but in the right direction
I tried frame gen and it had way too much input lag to consider using. Anyone find a way around that?
hmm only without frame generation the frame time is better so far :/
You forgot the new menu "creations" with mods ! 😉
aaah shit, one of the most important things is true 🤝🙂
Oh this runs SOO much better!
Yes 🙏🙏
Are you running it on the ssd because those load times are awful
All we need now is a sale to buy it
I actually have it on my SSD :( I think the longer loading times come from this new "shop"
Holy shit Look at those frame times 😭
yes unfortunately :( above 35 fps it still feels smooth, but below 35 fps there are input lags due to the frametime
Only played starfield on release on series s. If I buy it on steam deck would it run similar to my previous experience?

Am always at home and i have a series s but i rather playing it on sd oled even if its worst . for a reason am not aware of🙂
yeah I feel the same way bro :D but I like it :)
Can u do a 7 days to die update please. Wanna see if it's just me when it brakes lol
Unfortunately it's not there yet bro I'm eagerly waiting for the update
Press .. Set scaling to FSR then Sharpness to 1 then change resolution to 960x600. Lock it to 40
Now how's its frames ?
you can do it, yes :) I tried it months ago and showed it th-cam.com/video/j6KOakYzHDU/w-d-xo.html :)
Try to lock GPU on 1400, because Starfield need more CPU, and try to lock 30 fps😏😏

@@FreddysGamingBenchmarkshow bad is input lag compared to playing a PC game with a wireless controller.
30 fps lock with activated frame generation makes it unplayable.. at least 40 more like 45 fps lock the input is almost gone again
@@FreddysGamingBenchmarks yeah I mean unlocked fps. I don't know how much input lag frame gen adds is it similar to the input lag using a wireless controller on PC.

hello I don't test mods
ist FSR 3 built into Steam OS 3.7 beta?
no
@@FreddysGamingBenchmarks a mod?

@@FreddysGamingBenchmarks ok was my question. Didn't know that FSR3 was already implemented in SF, thx
but already since 3-4 updates :) and frame generation too :)
Steam deck is just too slow to even consider buying..
I would have understood this statement 10 updates ago, but purely in practice it is now playable in contrast to the release back then
Dude it’s not the steam deck the game performance been trashed since release
It's a handheld...What are you expecting exactly? Crappy battery life and still not playing the game that well like the newest windows handhelds?
Stop coping just become you have a rog ally both handhelds can coexist dont bring your shitty console wars to handhelds
Games that are unoptimized run bad both on Steam Deck and PC ! Don't blame it on Valve.
