My goodness, what a classic! I was born and raised in Nigeria, but spent most of my youth listening to foreign music, and Reggae before moving to the United States. I am 65 years old now, and finally beginning to appreciate the depth and talent that we possess in Nigeria. I don't know if anyone else noticed Mike Ejeagha's unique story telling abilities. He systematically revealed one plot after another, and just like I was taught in film school in Hollywood to keep your audience on their seat's edge, he sure kept me on my seat's edge as I was anxious to hear the outcome of the "feigned" friendship between the tortoise and the elephant. The story itself will make a great animation movie. Well done, brother. Well done!
Thank you very much for the translation of this good music, I've commented on another platform that if someone can translate it will be very nice for me and others who do not understand Igbo language. because number one, i like the lyrics and the instrument is perfect, secondly i know the lyrics carries important message. By the way Tortoise occupies an important part of African's wise story telling and proverbs, despite it stature, but wise. Kudos to Tortoise
Thank you very much. I have been wondering about this seemingly "silly" challenge plaguing social media. The blogger seems to have read my thoughts and posted this write-up. It's in line with the usual tortoise local fables and the reality of life. BEWARE.
