Bukit Timah Hill ᨒ is Singapore's highest natural point at 163.63m, located in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. It features lush rainforest, hiking trails, diverse wildlife (you can see monkeys and boars) and many different types of rainforest trees. I once saw a mummy boar and her piglet at Dairy Farm route 🐷🐗
There are many ways to head to the summit. One of the way is from the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve at Hindhede Dr/Bukit Timah road. There is another way from Dairy Farm/Bukit Panjang road. From the Hindhede entrance there is a Visitor Center housed in a Colonial Building. It is worth a visit to see the taxidermy of animals and history of the tallest hill of Singapore.
I took the most gentle way up to the summit. At the foot of the mountain at the visitor center, head to the right path which is the South View Path. The main road has steep slopes (40 degrees gradient), whereas this side trail is more gentle to the knees with low rise steps.
Once near the top of the hill, there are 2 ways to get to the summit, you can take a long path or take the killer stairs straight up to the summit. The long path does not have any stairs so it is suitable for kids, elders or physically tired people like me c:
Thank you for joining me on the hike to get some exercise. Hiking is the best exercise for me, as once you start you cant stop! You need to get down from the hill yourself (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)
