Jennifer just had everything against her with Serena and Venus in Miami. She had 8 MPs against Venus in '01 and lost, then played Serena in the finals in '02 and '03 and lost them both too. LOL.
Capriati beat Serena in Miami in 00' and 01' only to lose Venus in 01' and then Serena for 2 years in a row
If Jennifer hadn't fallen off at the age of 17, then the second half of the golden 90s would have become her highest Olympus. But, alas. Her greedy daddy ruined her.

Thanks for the upload. This was back in the day too that in USA, CBS would tape delay the match by an hour. They'd play the first 5 games of the set, and then be like, "Due to time constraints we move ahead to Jennifer serving for the set." The would do something similar in the second set.

No! Sharapova is not the queen of tennis. She's only won 5 Grand Slams & she's beatable. Her skill set on court is mediocre.
Sharapova is a good player with a Mental Stength attitude on the court. She will fight til the end but you know it's a 50/50% chance she will lose depends on her opponent.

Can you imagine if Capriati was playing now she would of use the camera challenge all the time. Lol. Boy she could complain about the balls. What is ironic is their last meeting in 2004 when Serena got robbed by the chair umpire those shots were in and because of that match you have challenge system they have in tennis now

not really. The girls on tour now are just as athletic but are definitely, on average, much stronger, biggers with beefier serves than the generation of the 2000's
@@co9971no-one has better serve than serena . Yes game is more deep. And spin based now. But serena flat hitting would be absolute worse matchup for iga who hates playing flat hitters. Seren will be dominant even now if it was her oeak
For sure. Serena's serve has withstood the the of time for decades. Venus and Serena were the best athletes by far at their peak. Before them was Steffi Graf. The only reason Rybakina and sabalenka are flourishing now is because no one is around to stop them. LIke Peak Ash Barty and Osaka. Even an older serena in 2021 thrashed sabaelnka. Capriati was like the worst match up ever for Serena. Serena had the knack to keep these pushy cross court rallies going instead of just letting those winners fly.
Capriati just couldn’t depend on her serve to bail her out of jams like Serena could here.
Capriati has always been a sore loser, not fair play, always a victim, questioning the decisions of the lines judges.
