  • This is Yannick Poinsignon´s Monster used in the French Hillclimb Championship, a E92 Naturally Aspirated 4.0L V8 Monster with the GT2 bodywork and owner of one of the greatest V8 sounds in all of Hillclimb Racing. Weighs 1210Kg and features such goodies as 6-Speed Sequential Gearbox by Drenth, Carbon Transmission, and AP Racing brakes.
Here you can watch this "beast" attacking Gubbio in Italy, on the last edition of the Hillclimb Masters, with the added Onboard footage highlighting how brutal it is from the inside while at the same time being a really well sorted Race Car capable of dealing with such a technical course with tremendous composure.

Ikr, hell of an achievement. I guess lightened rotating assembly to rev it out even higher, port job and larger cams, tune the intake/exhaust, bump up the compression plus running race gas. Wouldn't have expected +200 though, they must have spent a lot of time tuning to get that figure!

    Impressive!!!
Although I thought that the max power would be around 500bhp at 8750rpm as in the P65, anyway, Poinsignon's race car is tremendous, the Drenth Gearbox seems almost better than the original Xtrac sequential shift transaxle gearbox, which was equipped with unsynchronised straight cut gears, the whole car also weighs about 30kg lighter.. absolutely great performance!
