Mental health issues which cause suicidal tendencies are way more painful than any kind of physical pain thus the result is that people can muster the will to take their own lives. I would describe it as the closest thing to the suffering of hell in this life. May Allah relieve the mental suffering of everyone who is going through this experience.

@@Saby217 - Getting 'suicided' is getting murdered. That's not a suicide.
One can be coerced or driven into suicide through hypnosis or medication, to the point that the decision is not his, but the perpetrator's.
One has to make a choice to commit suicide to be deserving the entry ticket to the punishment in the afterlife. If the choice isn't the person's, then the accountability isn't his or hers.
A sin is an act, and an act is by intention.

If the suicide is due to mental illness that has had such a far-reaching impact on a person’s reason that he is not aware of what he is saying or doing, if in such a case it so happens that he killed himself, then he will not be with the sinners who have committed the major sin of suicide; rather he will be excused. That is because this person was no longer accountable due to severe mental illness that led to loss of reason.

Suicide is "dropping out" of learning and so a failure. The entity/ruh/soul would need to retake their learning where they left it by self harm so it appears it will be back to very similar if not worst circumstances.

I think it probably also depends on the person's state of mind and their intent. For example, someone who commits suicide as an act of revenge (such as murder-suicides) or to escape punishment for criminal acts (such as Hitler's suicide) will surely be in hellfire. But we cannot say the same about those who are good people but not in the right frame of mind.

" if you avoid the grearest sins mentioned in the Quran, I will forgive the
the rest of your sins and enter you into My Paradise. "
Here one should know the ' the greatest sins ' mentioned in the
Quran, and do not pass a quick judgement. Moreover, one should
consider the status, states, and trouble of a person who tried to
commit suicide, and if it was a sucssesful attempt, close friends
and families should try to relive his or her immediate family.
No one in their right mind attempts try such a thing, so many
reasons could be behind this attempt.
We hope anyone who knows someone that maybe is planning
such an act, try his or her best effort to provide necessary
help. As saving one life, in Allah 's SIGHT is to save a generation.

Whomever jumps from a mountain/cliff and kills themself, then they are in Jahannam (Gehinom, hellfire) falling in it for everlasting. And whomever consumes a poison and kills themself, their poison is in their hand, and they consume it in Jahannam for everlasting. And whomever kills themself with a piece of iron (ie instrument), then his piece of iron is in their hand as they oger their belly with it in Jahannam for everlasting.
[Authenticated narration appearing in Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Sunan Al-Nasaei, and Musnad of Ahmad]
The question is why is there such a severe punishment for suicide ? The answer comes from the Qur'an, Allah (God) says:
قال الله تعالى:﴿ولا تقتلوا أنفسكم ان الله كان بكم رحيما﴾. سورة النساء آية 29
"And do not kill thyselves, Allah (God) is merciful with you" [Al-Nisaa' (Women) 29]
﴿ولا تلقوا بأيديكم إلى التهلكة وأحسنوا إن الله يحب المحسنين﴾. سورة البقرة 195
"And do not bring about thy demise and perfect thy deeds, for Allah (God) loves those that perfect their deeds" [Al-Baqarah 195]
Therfore there are multiple prohibitions and warnings telling people not to commit that great sin because it represents giving up on the mercy of the Most Merciful, and taking a decision that belongs essentially to The Creator not the created.
Is the person that commits suicide a disbeliever ? The answer is no, and that as well is narrated in Sahih Muslim as follows:
In brief, a man had embraced Islam (submission to God) and migrated to the prophet PBUH in Madinah, then became very ill and decided to end his life to escape the pain. He injured himself and bled to his death. His friend Al-Tufail bin Amr saw his deceased friend in a vision with a pleasant appearance yet covering the hand he had injured to commit his suicide. In this vision Al-Tufail asked him "What has thy Lord done with you ?", the man answered "He forgave me by my migration to his prophet PBUH." Al-Tufail asked "Why do you cover your hand ?", the man replied "I was told, We shall not mend what you [willingly] ruined [of thy body]."
Al-Tufail relayed his vision to the prophet PBUH, and the prophet PBUH said "O Allah, and his hands may Yee forgive" [Sahih Muslim, the chapter of Faith (116)]
Therefore, there is hope for the person that commits suicide in the hereafter, yet it is entirely in the hands of Allah (God). It appears from the narration that a great deed is needed on the level of performing the "hijrah" (migration to the prophet), yet Allah can forgive whomever He wishes to forgive.
May Allah protect us all from the great sins, ameen.

**When Were the Earliest Biographies and Sayings of Jesus and Mohammed Written?**
In Christianity, the earliest biographies of Jesus are the Gospels. Mark, the earliest, was written around 70 CE, just 40 years after Jesus’ crucifixion. The other Gospels-Matthew, Luke, and John-were completed between 80-100 CE, all within a century of Jesus' life. These texts were written close to the time when eyewitnesses were still alive.
In Islam, the earliest biography of Mohammed is by Ibn Ishaq, written around 767 CE, over 130 years after Mohammed’s death. However, the original is lost and is known through later edits by Ibn Hisham (d. 833 CE). The sayings of Mohammed (hadith) were collected even later, with the most trusted collections (like Bukhari and Muslim) being compiled over 200 years after Mohammed’s death.
**Conclusion:** The Christian Gospels were written much closer to Jesus’ time, while the Islamic biographies and sayings of Mohammed were compiled much later, primarily during the Abbasid period.

The Quran doesn’t explain most Islamic practices or provide the necessary historical background on its own. It heavily relies on the Hadith and Sira, which were compiled a good 200 years after Mohammed’s time, raising serious questions about their authenticity.
So, if you want to cut through anything, how about we start with the inconvenient fact that the Christian Gospels were written within the lifetimes of eyewitnesses, while Islamic sources didn’t even show up until centuries later. Context matters, my friend, and it’s one thing you can’t just skip over.

@YeshuaAkbar7 I had lots to say in the past, until I read the Quran for myself. One-on-one with the Quran day after day after a small humble prayer to the Creator to lead me to the Turth.
As for manuscripts, check the Birmingham manuscript. No Gospel, no Hadith comes even close.
But again, my proof was not historicity. It's the transformative effect of the Quran. Nothing else convinced me in my journey towards God.
Thanks for reading. May God guide us all. Peace.

@@mentalismification The Birmingham manuscript claim might sound impressive at first, but it quickly loses steam when you dig into the details. The Birmingham manuscript only contains parts of three chapters (18-20) of the Quran, and even if it dates close to Mohammed’s time, it represents a tiny fraction of the text-just 33 verses out of 6,000+. Claiming it as evidence of a fully preserved Quran is like finding a torn-out page of a novel and saying the whole book is original.
Comparatively, the Christian Gospels are full, coherent narratives written within the lifetimes of eyewitnesses. Plus, we have over 5,800 Greek New Testament manuscripts, some dating as early as the 2nd century, much closer to the events they describe than the Hadith or the later Islamic biographies.
Finally, if your proof “was not historicity,” then you’ve essentially admitted you’re avoiding the very foundation of any claim to truth-historical evidence. It’s easy to sidestep the issue, but doing so doesn’t magically make the facts disappear. When it comes to manuscripts and reliable history, the Christian sources still have the upper hand, no matter how much we slice it.

@@mentalismification **Timing Gaps Expose Weaknesses in Islamic Sources vs. Christian Gospels**
The Christian Gospels were written much closer to Jesus' time, while Islamic biographies and hadiths were compiled much later, primarily during the Abbasid period.
      **Average Time Difference:**
      - Gospels: About 70 years after Jesus' death.
      - Islamic Biographies and Hadith: Around 150-200 years after Mohammed's death.
This results in an average time gap of approximately 80-130 years, with Islamic texts being compiled significantly later than the Christian Gospels.
The long delay between Mohammed’s life and the compilation of Islamic texts undermines their credibility, especially regarding eyewitness accounts. The Gospels were written closer to Jesus' life, making it more likely they were based on eyewitness testimony or reliable oral traditions. In contrast, Islamic sources were compiled 150-200 years after Mohammed’s death, suggesting they are based more on second-hand reports or hearsay rather than direct witnesses.
The Christian Gospels thus have a stronger case for containing elements of eyewitness or near-contemporary involvement.

No one is equal in the eyes of God. There are 6 levels of hell and 6 levels of heaven. The 7 th level of heaven is reserved for prophets who are “ Chosen By God.” Every human being in this world has a different relationship with God. Whitney Houston committed suicide from a drug overdose. Currently, she is enjoying absolute paradise and is able to evolve every day. Her entire day is extremely productive which includes one hour of meditation. I don’t think it is possible to evolve in this world. Human beings seem to be going in reverse. Many of the angels have stopped charging people for suicide. This world is a sick, demented, deranged place to live.

I will not risk it. I will not tempt God, especially because it is killing a human being, which is yourself. You are playing God so it falls under murder and ungratefulness. Go to see your doctor, go get cognitive therapy, consider medication, consider a psychiatric hospital. Do exercise, eat healthy, sleep well, have a good support system and live a balanced life.

No mental gymnastics needed. Islam is a very straightforward religion that emphasises common sense and empathy towards others. People who commit suicide out of revenge (such as murder-suicides) or to escape worldy punishment (such as Hitler's suicide) are surely destined for hellfire. But we cannot say the same about those with mental health issues who are driven to suicide due to depression or hopelessness. We simply pray that Allah has mercy on those people because their intentions weren't evil, they were irrational acts of desperation.

How absurd for hadith to speak for God in his judgment. Throughout the gospels Jesus makes it clear that he is the Judge. Forget about trying to carry the burdens of your dead family members, the question is what will you do with Jesus' words and what is the state of your own soul!

The Judge is God, Jesus is no judge. He will be judged by God.
