This actually isn't a new song, it was on their last Album Judas, the video is just new. Napalm has them releasing a collection of songs as an EP and they all have this retro vibe in the new videos
There was a shallowness about the video I felt was intentional. Maybe even ironic. Chris tossing his hear and them all wearing white trainers with the eighties instruments. It was meant to contrast the heartfelt emotion of the song, imo anyway.
I agree, it felt off yet intentional. I only picked up on that because all their previous videos matched the song so well, that this stood out as different
I love a lot of German bands, but that is a very tricky question... i think there will always be a lot less german bands, and only the ones who sing in english will have an actual chance at being popular worldwide. There has only been 1 real exception to that, and its Rammstein. So to answer the question, no i dont think they will ever "rule" over the american metal scene, but i also think comparing the two in terms of "domination" is very subjective and there is no competition between the two. So there is no reason to not be a fan of both if you enjoy it
I have three German metal bands from different eras the first one is SCORPIONS everybody knows them the second band is HELLOWEEN the third one is ACCEPT all these mentioned bands are still releasing albums till today
