Enjoyed y’all’s video! We bought a truck camper last year and have experienced some of the same positives and negatives of ownership. It’s a great way to travel and see our country. Thank you both for your service.
@@JarheadAndGingersJourney I wish you could have heard me laughing when you talked about the black tank. Lol. Truck camper life is awesome. The give and take is a small adjustment but it is such a free lifestyle. Happy travels to you guys. Let us know if you get near the PNW and maybe we can have an outing with you.
y'all look like strangers in your slender bodies. I did not recognize you! Finally, I saw the red hair. what a great video describing all the pros and cons so far. I couldn't believe when I first saw you guys were considering it but you're doing great and I'm so proud of you both.
I've been living full-time in my Lance truck camper model 850 since 2018. I love it. I'm located in North East PA, and the nights have been very cold. I spent 30 years living and working in Saudi Arabia. I'm used to living tiny. However , I finally decided to upgrade. I just ordered a new Brinkley G3500 toy hauler. I'm expecting to take delivery at the end of January. Going from my truck camper into the Brinkley will be very strange. For now, I am planning to keep my Lance camper.
Completely the opposite of what we did we really enjoyed our toy hauler but downsized just to get into other places that we wanted to go. Thanks for watching and commenting too
@@JarheadAndGingersJourney we just left the Xscapers Bash in Havasu and will be in the area for a couple of weeks. We will be at the Truck Camper Rally in February in Quartzite! Y’all planning on attending that? Should be a good time!
As y'all know, we have two "youngings" still with us. Our 35 ft travel trailer is becoming too small as we plan to get a 43 ft double bunk room, double bathroom 5th wheel next year. Boon docking is something my wife told me she is absolutely against so that thought doesn't enter my mind. i applaud y'all for making your choice because it fits your lifestyle and understandably it's the best thing to do for traveling! Best wishes, please be safe! ~Scott & Cherryl~
Y’all are crazy! But we love ya! And it will all work out! We switched up to a class C for a lot of the same reasons you downsized. We wanted to be able to just pull over and spend the night. Your new rig is going to rock in Alaska for sure! Toot-A-Loo! 👋 ttyl ✌️
Great video! We’ve been full-time in Host Yukon for 2 1/2 years. We love all things you’ve said. We have a flip up for extra counter space which makes it just enough counter space. We have 2 bed entrances but we don’t have that great closet. I’d love the closet. We use an F350 too. Or maybe you have a bigger engine. Did you do anything to improve the stability of the truck? I’d love to see a video on what you setup and store the stabilizers you’re using for the camper.
The flip up counter is a great idea but it would block the fridge on our cascade unfortunately. We have a video on the install of our tie downs you can watch and we just store the guns and the tie down arms in the morgue. Thanks y’all for watching and commenting too
I'm still impressed you were able to downsize that much! I get it on the cooking... our Rpod had zero space in the kitchen. Our Imagine 17MKE actually is up there with our catamaran on kitchen counter space! Making the bed has always been a pain - on our 3 sailboats and two prior trailers. Our Imagine actually isn't that bad. Striped sheets are the best! Being small is SO great - getting in places, sites, just everything. The truck camper would be too small for me, but as I said, I'm impressed!
Haha it’s been an adjustment for sure. I’m sure boats are pretty small for the most part We have never been on a private one to see though. Thanks for watching and commenting too.
Wow, you guys have a queen size bed... we just have a double!! LOL. It's cozy, for sure. When are you heading through Canada to head up to Alaska, and will you be going through Alberta? If so, come and stay at Aspen Crossing so we can hang out around the campfire together!
Love your videos... after watching this video added the Valterra Universal RV Stabilizer to my Amazon cart...Thank you. I also have a host and you are right... it moves a lot when walking inside. Not only does the camper move a lot... sometimes it squeaks too. Also, you getting 12mpg with your truck and host is not bad at all... I have a 2007 f-450 dually, and I am getting 9~10mpg. Thanks again for your videos... you have gained a subscriber here 👍
That’s awesome we really appreciate it. The stabilizers are really good we think. Wish we had a discount for them but we don’t unfortunately. Thanks for watching and commenting to
Good job guys...It looks like you have equivalent space to van life in the camper. I could never go into something big after loving the boondocking lifestyle. I also love stealth camping in cities. So far, almost 4 years without getting a knock...lol Tanya
I’m sure going smaller has had some ups and downs. It’s some of the same reasons we have never increased the size of our Airstream. We want to get into just about any spot. It gives us that advantage. But being smaller has it disadvantages: cooking space, storage and rocking are our biggest downsides about staying small all these years. But towability and maneuverability are two big advantages. ❤
wow, that tray provides a lot of storage. I am impressed. Great likes and dislikes. I still think the two of you are crazy, but I am jealous that your pulling it off. We could do it as weekenders...no what we could do it full time. 👍
It is awesome for sure. Hahah yeah we think we’re crazy too but we love it. We will give you a tour when we moochdock at your place hopefully this spring. Thanks y’all
I’m sure you could. We’re sitting here watching your Budapest video right now. Cool cat cafe. Next time you come back stateside we would love to meet y’all.
I would prefer a van for travels because of the safety of jumping from bed to front seat if you need to drive away quickly but I have no dreams of living full time in anything tiny, just want it for travels
I don’t think I could handle all the rattling in a drivable RV these things definitely aren’t for everyone though thanks for watching and commenting to
Very interesting video. You mentioned you were going to replace the shower door. What do you plan to replace it with? Our Class C has a glass door and when you open it, it will drip water on the floor. I'd like to replace it but I'm not sure what to replace it with.
We want an articulating shower curtain rod it has 2 joints in it so we can just fold it back out of the way on travel day bit doesn’t stay rolled up and wet which makes it smell like mildew sometimes
It is actually worth it! You can stay 6 or 7 months with access to water, trash, and a dump station so it’s really nice. The show is on now and it is packed but should ease up in a couple weeks. Thanks for watching and commenting too
It’s amazing how much can fit in a truck camper 😎 Alaska trip would be cool 👍
Absolutely on both haha thanks
Great video. You guys aren't crazy for living full time in the truck camper. If it suits your needs, go for it!!!
Haha yep we appreciate it it works for us now for sure.
This thing is huge! We are so jealous. We love it! Congratulations on the weight loss!
Y’all need to come with us to AK this spring. Thanks guys it’s good to be neighbors again too.

"Prime Pooping Position" LOL!! I'd need a stepstool, because I'm only 5'2".... Hahaha!
Haha I need one too and but I’m only 5’8
Awesome that it’s working out for you guys.
Thanks and thanks for all the advice too!
