So out of the 15 deaths in my pacifist playthrough when Flowey did the death total, so before the final boss I shan't name, half of them were on the Bailador
excellent work!!! really really impressive,,, honestly, the only boss that forced me to get good at the mechanics behind it, instead of healing my way through, and it made me have such a fun time with it!! i get the hate, ngl, but. he's just a silly fella. just a goofy goober of a guy. pulling all this off feels satisfying, you're making music with someone, it feels like playing Guitar Hero with no sense of rhythm and having to forge it from scratch, love this rgb rascal
If you're struggling, you can turn on the auto rhythm, which can be located at the start, under 'Config' or after you die to El Bailador. This function makes it so that you don't have to press 'Z' to hit the notes, you can simply focus on the arrow keys. If you still want to make the fight easier, you can turn on Easy Mode. It reduces the amount of damage you normally would take (I think it's 7 for normal and 4 for Easy Mode).
Why everyone hate this guy so much :C I love him! is so adorable! love the jingle and his pose when is your turn again, his heroic poses are so cute, his entusiasm in dance, and, come one, how people can found this "hard" or annoying and not say a thing bad about the unfair and BS genocide boss? i really think there will be more updates to this guy like making his attacks rhythm with the music and not have to wait some seconds with no music to a turn to stop
For those struggling, the auto- rhythm button in settings makes it so you dont have to press z ( I HAVE IT ON AND AM STILL STRUGGLING PLEASE SEND HELP) edit: To find settings, return to the main menu by closing the game ,in the main menu there should be a setting button which would then show the auto-rythm, maybe you have to scroll down, unsure, hope this helps someone tho!
Me Who have beaten this boss First try and have played several rythm games: "Damn, that was a great boss Battle! I wonder what other people thought of this?" *Me After seeing the comments on this video:* "DAMN! BRO DID NOT DESERVE ALL OF THIS SLANDER DAWG!"
As a rhythm game player, this fight still tripped me up a bit. I didn’t die once, but it just tripped me up a bit. Here’s a tip for anyone struggling: You can use the left, down, and right arrow key, and press “Z” at the same time that you swap notes. That way, you can focus less on timing your Z presses, and more on reading the notes. Do this with the down arrow too, because it helps with accuracy and consistency. Controls are still shit, though.

Despite having a lot of trouble with this guy when I first met him, I actually really enjoyed getting good at his fight! I was feelin' the rhythm whilst gittin' gud.
i loved this fight because it tries to reference my culture and it did a good job on it i was sad on my first playthrough because i died on the last note | but that meant that i had another chance to hear the music again i was so frustrated that when you find him in hotland again doesn't give you a chance to do the fight again as a minigame update!: ok... so im currently playing the genocide route... *never felt so awful for an enemy in my whole life...*
Ngl I found this fight way easier with my headphones off, not only are the note noises loud and kinda distracting but the mapping doesn't match the music at all which is what really threw me off
funny how this boss and the final genocide boss who shall not be named both left me at barely any hp left (1 for bailador, 4 for the final boss of genocide.) The only difference is that i was pacifist during the el bailador fight.
as someone who has very little experience with rhythm games, having only played a silly game called Purple Skittles that's similar to this fight except you don't press anything and are playing air hockey, I don't see where people struggled this hard with them. Sure, I took damage in some of the later dance patterns, but not THAT much.
I play rhythm games like ADOFAI, Rhythm Doctor, osu! and this fight was pretty tough. The problem is that you have to hold to stay left/right instead of just a keypress and also the "rhythm" you click to isn't really a rhythm

The only rhythm game that I wanted to play was a dance game with the carpet up and down left and right, a PS2 game that you played almost 10 years ago, this fight left me frustrated but oh well.
From failure success is born
One of the funnest fights for me (even though initially I sucked at it)
im surprised to see how much hate there is on this fight, i really liked it and it was one of my favorites, then again i am a rhythm game enjoyer so i can imagine how hard it would be for someone whos never played one
i didn’t die once to the final boss of pacifist
now this guy on the other hand
Strangely, my favourite bossfight
Idk how everyone else has issues on this fight. As a wanna be rhythm game, yeah the controls are a bit awkward, but I had little to no trouble with this fight. Maybe it's bc I played Everhood a lot and got pretty good at that.
I frickin loved this fight and I love El Bailador.
Despite having a lot of trouble with this guy when I first met him, I actually really enjoyed getting good at his fight! I was feelin' the rhythm whilst gittin' gud.
UFFF TEMAZO🗣️🗣️🗣️💯🔥🔥💯💯
i love him so much he's so bbg
i honestly just gave up on this fight after like half an hour of attempts
bro his fight is short
i love El Bailador but pLEASE STOP KILLING ME
Bro..
I love this cutie too :3
I have just one word for this:
HOW???
I cant pass from him,ill never end the game
You can do it man I believe in you
Yeah, like the comment above mine, don't give up!
i loved this fight because it tries to reference my culture and it did a good job on it
i was sad on my first playthrough because i died on the last note
|
but that meant that i had another chance to hear the music again
i was so frustrated that when you find him in hotland again doesn't give you a chance to do the fight again as a minigame
update!:
ok... so im currently playing the genocide route...
*never felt so awful for an enemy in my whole life...*
i almost died in the same last note on the second try, but my immunity frames saved me lol
Kill him in neutral, it's even worse
Ngl I found this fight way easier with my headphones off, not only are the note noises loud and kinda distracting but the mapping doesn't match the music at all which is what really threw me off
His death both in neutral and genocide is sadder than papyrus
Missed the opportunity to call this a full combo
This is an absolute banger
Why this random dude with youtube profile picture always is liking my comments?
I love him no matters what expression he gives his face will always be
\o o/
W
Basically OwO
those colours... it reminds me of a certain tv show...
I somehow hate and love this battle
funny how this boss and the final genocide boss who shall not be named both left me at barely any hp left (1 for bailador, 4 for the final boss of genocide.)
The only difference is that i was pacifist during the el bailador fight.
Love the character to death, the boss fight makes me WANT to do Genocide route
as someone who has very little experience with rhythm games, having only played a silly game called Purple Skittles that's similar to this fight except you don't press anything and are playing air hockey, I don't see where people struggled this hard with them.
Agreed, but UTY is not a rhythm game anyways
