Disagree. Personally i liked pitch black nights. Makes it easier to loot otherwise risky spots as a solo and punctuates the advantage of having NVGs. I think the moon phases should have more influence over nighttime lighting, so you get some nights like these and some pitch black ones.

Bicycles would be so cool some kind of low gear transportation like a random bicycle would be so awesome imagine seeing 2 freshies peddling down the road 😂

Though modders and the community make it fun and playable. this is a great example. Days update of the year is legit, a sky box, a moon during night mode )took 10 years to add a moon to night mode( an underground room in the nwaf, and some new clothes. Atleast they added one gun rather then new colors of screwdrivers and a hat this time. Update of the year.........like.....this is laughable, bohemia took the money and ran 8 years ago, and have a team of like two guys doin the bare minimum for this so they dont have to put in anymore money. Individual modders do more then the "dev team" and thats everything you need to know about how dayz is currently being "developed"

I would like to see the folding stocks have a fold function to reduce storage size but also drastically reduce handling and increase recoil is folded while shooting. I’ve always wanted an accurate lunar cycle where some nights are easy to travel through because of a full moon and clear skies and others where NVG’s or a torch is needed because it’s pitch black. thats actually such a good idea, have it degrade with use but be able to save you from dehydration in a pinch, maybe add it to the camping cabin/ campgrounds loot table?

I don't even visit NWAF and I like DayZ enough that I don't wait on some new content to get satisfied etc., the only thing that is important for me from this updage is... fixing the Blaze so I can snipe with the double tap mode and kill people on one hit - without it, it was hard to kill people because they'd often collapse but wake up so I prefer running the double-shot mode even when losing some accuracy :D
I really hope they will make it so you can attach a NATO suppressor the the DMR, because you can do it with the SVD, and you should be able to attach the hunter scope too

I actually learned from your website that some civilian gear is much lighter (stamina friendly) than military gear with little or no trade-off in the other aspects. It's certainly a big update, but it isn't as big as I'd thought it'd be. It's quite small in comparison to last years livonia rework update. Not that much has gone into this in comparison. Hopefully, the DayZ team are working on something like a new DLC because they added more stuff on the menu to send you to the games dlcs
In my opinion the a1 variant of the Aug should be high tier mil loot not toxic,all other tox weapons are considerably better it’s more comparable to ak101
You know mr. dev man. Using the environment for survival is very cool and realistic, so why not make it so those trash piles can be searched for empty bottles and other stuff, but make them all badly damaged tho so there is more a consequence to searching them. Maybe have the player prick their finger on a needle and bleed, and get a random disease.
In regards to the New spawn mechanics I think they should keep them how they are or have it be toggled or modified by server admins, I think the original spawn system works perfectly in giving time for loot to spawn sparingly. It allows players to have the perfect amount of interactions and making it not feel like a rust server, while making the game feel barren yet still having that anxiousness stomach feeling of meeting or interacting with another person. So keep the spawns how they were originally and not change them but give an option to modify spawns. Everything for Everyone. P.S Absolutely Brilliant Skybox guys, Game changer.

I just want turn signals on the cars or be able to have better builder blue prints. Like windows,doors,ceilings etc. maybe even bicycles or wheelbarrows to carry large items way faster.
IRL these things weigh around 1.3kg. Would be nice also if it's repairable with a sharpening stone and functions as a handaxe for cutting trees, like it does IRL.
Dmr doesn’t feel like it’s worth the effort when it’s just a worse LAR. They tried too hard to balance it and made it just off uninteresting. Needs a legit suppressor or a hunting scope, and I really don’t think anybody would complain if it took both. This isn’t CSGO we don’t need realism to take a backseat to the pvp addicts. The point of a gun being good is that it’s genuinely a league above what you might be going up against from other players. Nobody minds.
The last update was just bags right? No. It was a huge and solid update aswell, just 90% of it was behind the scenes or small content or not even mentioned by the devs. I also agree that updates like this one are awesome and I wish we didn't have to wait many months with the small (seeming) updates inbetween but it is what it is :)

Since it was added to EFT I thought SVT-40 was going to be it. It would be a worse SVD with a PU scope basically. But its probably better to have a good semi auto 308. It would be cool if they spent some time and made a really polished PKM. Would be the best raid gun for sure too. @@gusty990
Apologies for late response, at work currently. I agree with sv98. Blaze and tundra being meta for so long has gotten a bit stale, on vanilla console. I would appreciate more variety, towards the end game kits. Granted, I understand the small dev team is working hard towards providing more to the game's player/fan base.
The last time I used the M14 or as I know the weapon as the DMR, it was in Arma II Operation Arrowhawk with modded servers and thousands of mods to resemble the DayZ Mod.

Decent update! I'd love to see more craftable medi items added like introducing salt and then a craftable saline out of a water bottle and start kit. You could also combine the salt with food to make it last longer before being ruined with a higher thirst penalty for eating it.

They do like one mediocre update a year, otherwise it's bug fixing and adjusting crap that didn't need adjusting so they can pretend they were doing something other than being on vacation. W m14!!! I worry abt heli crashes becoming kind of not worth going to, tough. It’s a beacon that says hey geared people may be coming here, and it may not be worth it if I’m just gonna keep getting mags and clothes at it. I know the grenade launcher and nvgs can still spawn, but I’ve only found 2 grenade launchers and 3 sets of nvgs in the entire time I’ve played this game (~1 1/2 years). I’ll probably just try to take those two items off of geared players if it’s high pop server rather than hitting helis. Edit: unless the m14 spawns in helis. That may may make them a little more enticing.
A small but useful mechanic would be if you assign a quick slot and have two of the same item "bandages" if you use one fully it auto assigns the next bandage bundle.
im pretty sure they are working on it, they updated the sound of the bunker doors when you open them. im pretty sure a bunker was supposed to ship with the nwaf rework but due to time restraints im guessing it will probably come out in another update.
As always a great video. And as always my suggestion/request to the devs would be more improvised stuff and bushcrafting (leather clothing and perhaps allowing for braintanning [would need to add a brain to carcasses], turning lether into strinig/rope [using natural fibers by debarking sticks would propably be unbalanced unless a lower tier of rope were to be added, ...)
Also notice: there is a lot of nbc loot on airfield now - that with moving guns there it seems like Devs want incentive more people to go to gas zones.

Using an admin mode/plug-in.... you need to to either have admin capabilities on a community server, run your own server and use one of the available admin tools to use the no clip, or, use Community Offline Mode offline and it comes with it's own set of basic tools

I don’t think bicycles would really work in DayZ. The modded ones act like cars and they’re encumbersome to use. Mopeds would work better.

DMR never had a NV scope in Arma 2. It was simply a bug that let you use the head mounted NVGS while scoped, although this has been patched out since.

the Aur AX is spawning in toxic zones, the A1 variant will keep spawning in Helicrashes and convoy

Interesting how the field shovel is going to weigh 4 kg, while the pickaxe comes in at only 1 kg and is twice the size in one's inventory.

The last time I used the M14 or as I know the weapon as the DMR, it was in Arma II Operation Arrowhawk with modded servers and thousands of mods to resemble the DayZ Mod.
With less buildings means less lag. I might actually have a chance of winning a fight at NWAF on PS4 now instead of my game just crashing.
Cherno needs it's own bunker system massive let down for me it wasn't added in this update

You mean Chernarus, not "Cherno"...Cherno AKA Chernogorsk, is a city, nobody calls Chernarus the area of the country which the Map is named after, "Cherno".....Cherno is the nickname for the city of Chernogorsk..... The map is called Chernarus, which while is also the Country you're playing on, it's not, you're playing in the area of South Zagoria.... Chernarus is the full country, which you don't have access to, you only have access to the South Zagoria part of Chernarus.....

Decent update! I'd love to see more craftable medi items added like introducing salt and then a craftable saline out of a water bottle and start kit. You could also combine the salt with food to make it last longer before being ruined with a higher thirst penalty for eating it.

That's a joke, right? They do like one mediocre update a year, otherwise it's bug fixing and adjusting crap that didn't need adjusting so they can pretend they were doing something other than being on vacation.
Look at Rust's or Scum's updates, every single month or sooner, see what they get each update....then come back and adjust your statement 🙄

W m14!!! I worry abt heli crashes becoming kind of not worth going to, tough. It’s a beacon that says hey geared people may be coming here, and it may not be worth it if I’m just gonna keep getting mags and clothes at it. I know the grenade launcher and nvgs can still spawn, but I’ve only found 2 grenade launchers and 3 sets of nvgs in the entire time I’ve played this game (~1 1/2 years). I’ll probably just try to take those two items off of geared players if it’s high pop server rather than hitting helis.
Edit: unless the m14 spawns in helis. That may may make them a little more enticing.
A small but useful mechanic would be if you assign a quick slot and have two of the same item "bandages" if you use one fully it auto assigns the next bandage bundle.

im pretty sure they are working on it, they updated the sound of the bunker doors when you open them. im pretty sure a bunker was supposed to ship with the nwaf rework but due to time restraints im guessing it will probably come out in another update.

And as always my suggestion/request to the devs would be more improvised stuff and bushcrafting (leather clothing and perhaps allowing for braintanning [would need to add a brain to carcasses], turning lether into strinig/rope [using natural fibers by debarking sticks would propably be unbalanced unless a lower tier of rope were to be added, ...)

How do you enable the " fly arround and look at the map from above, inside and under" mode?
Using an admin mode/plug-in.... you need to to either have admin capabilities on a community server, run your own server and use one of the available admin tools to use the no clip, or, use Community Offline Mode offline and it comes with it's own set of basic tools

There's a mouse bug on console *Xbox One S* where I can hold to eat with right click and just by clicking open stuff, but it won't let me shoot or punch. Anyway fix anyone know of? I can't find anything online.
