I literally came to the comments section just to find this comment. Ash is designed for literally anything and everything because he has such a natural way of figuring things out with a simpler perspective and therefore making it easier for him to learn a skill or sport✨ At least this is what i’m choosing to believe
In all these videos, I relate most to his sister. She's so good, imagine being a normal person next to Olympic gods - and Ash - and still having the confidence to come back again! Bravo, you're great!
He is a gymnast. He is at the threshhold of human strength. This does not work here. Gymnastics is basically the strength and flexibility required to do any sport.
I live for how obvious it is that Nile enjoys this, and how much fun Nile, Ash, and Joanna have together. Nile is really a terrific host/presenter/interviewer.
These videos show a real comedy side to sports that people never usually get to see. Usually they only see the serious, and hear about long hours training.. They never get to see the laughter in those hours and how good friendships that come from a mutual interest are. The entire draw to sports is that they're fun, sometimes that gets lost amongst the competition. This video was amazing. I clapped at Ash's 10m flip dive.
“Elbows at Your Ears” as they say (reduces pressurevin the skull as you enter the water). Such an excellent collab with something for everyone. Glad u put a warning on the most dangerous dives to not try those “at home” or whatever exactly you said. Diving is such a GREAT sport by like gymnastics (!) can be dangerous; one must work up to doing the harder dives. EXCELLENT episode!
I love this series. It's one thing to watch average Joe's try Olympic sports it's amazing to watch other Olympians and highly trained athletes, try other events!! So fun. Boys looked good in those budgie smugglers
I thought that your retiring would be really sad but now i realise we get to enjoy this kind of content where it risky because you don't have comps to worry about injuries and stuff
That Outro though!!! 😬 you guys scare me sometimes! Ash always amazes me at how easily he picks things up and how graceful he can be! Joanna and I have the same diving style. 😂
This is the one I've been waiting for out of all of them. Again, Ash for the win - but it is just inspiring to see you and your crew getting out there and promoting athletes and movement and trying new things!
@@hobbestcat2792 he shouldnt make jokes related to body shaming at all. Especially when lots of men are being bullied for their choice to wear what they want. Because swim briefs are the most practical and reasonable mens swimwear and they are proud of their bodies. You are hypocrite if you dont see that. Why dont you care on skimpy bikinis for women, huh?!
Wizard of Oz - Ashley is the Lion, so much courage. I've never done athletics. Total eureka moment for me in the interview, the difference between gymnastics and diving; in one, you land on your feet and the other on your head.
I just found out how high the 10 m board is in our American measurement in feet. I have a much greater respect for the sport than I already did, I jumped off a standard high dive once which I believe was no more than 10 feet or 3.5 meters. That freaked me out and I was terrified ever since. These guys do that for a career. Hats off to all of you!
Yeah it was really high ... there's a time where we went to explore the swimming pool in our schoool and went up to the diving dock and i only got far as 7m didn't climb to 10m level what more if you have to jump 😅 what's worse is that time when we climb theres no water in the pool and pool is 10m deep too ..
I’m a former nationally ranked gymnast, and a former NCAA D1 diver. I’ve been to nationals in both sports. IMO, all gymnasts should spend a season diving. It would change their game for the better in ways that are hard to explain. Diving is legit. It’s super fun. The spotting. The somersaulting and positions required. The kick and lock out before the entry. The twisting techniques divers use - all superior and would be useful for gymnasts to know.
Looking at just the beginning of this video and seeing the difference between the practice springboard between the diver and the gymnast, you can see the form of the gymnast looks so beautiful and gracious.
You guys are absolutely amazing!!! I love watching gymnastics since i was little...your abillity to do different sports is just amazing! Thank you for amazing video!
This was so fun to see, because your video with Tom Daley is how I discovered your channel! You both did great, but ffs.... is there anything Ash can't do brilliantly on the first day? Good Lord!!! 😂😂😂
Dude, its been a couple of months since I've seen one of your videos and man you're looking good! You mentioned wanting to build up your muscle and its really starting to show. Awesome work!
Loved this video , loved the speedos more ❤ 😍 lol ash , nile you smashed it as always 💪 well done fellas , Joanna your always such a great support to everyone you are such a character girl power to you , Ellis you make editing look so easy pal big loves to you too , ill be waiting for more it beats telle in my eyes 😁🥰
I was a gymnast for 8-9 years and had to quit due to long term injury at 9 years old but I’m actually a diver now and am hopefully going to dive at uni next year
What a hugely entertaining video. I loved it. My butt puckered in fear many times, but Nile and Ash rocked it. Thanks for the laughs and the cringes!!!!
I love this pool! I visited it in 2014 to watch the FINA Diving Wold Championships. I was so jet lagged because I flew nonstop from Dallas, Texas to London, England. Absolutely beautiful facility!!
Ash is deceivingly good because I mean he’s a relatively bulky guy and to see him translate his acrobatic prowess and take them to the pool and he’s performing these moves so naturally and gracefully that he’s doing it like the guys half his size and with good form.
I wish we had this kind of pit when I was diving, back in the late 50s, early 60s. Our only tool was the trampoline and wearing a sweatshirt in the pool to mitigate the pain of a bad landing.
Watching you all brought back repressed memories of my constantly stinging back from trying (and failing miserably) on my swim/dive team as a kid. Entertaining as hell, but 😫
„What is Ash designed for? Everything. „
Truer words were never spoken
Ash is the jack of all trades, fuckin legend

@ 3:15
I feel like Ash is the guy who everyone underestimates on face value, but he's honestly great in everything he attempts.
He's got balls of steel. I'd be s******g myself
he's like a bear doing acrobatics
That one
He’s blessed.
And moreover, he's the hottest guy on Earth! Am I the only one who finds him insultingly sexy?
In all these videos, I relate most to his sister. She's so good, imagine being a normal person next to Olympic gods - and Ash - and still having the confidence to come back again! Bravo, you're great!
Joanna is seriously athletic in my opinion, I can’t do half the things she does lol
I’m just living my best life hahaha
@@CapturedByKen she’s also a really academic person as well. She’s a Cambridge graduate, and does academic tutoring.
Honestly she's my hero. If I tried she'd be my version of Nile and Ash haha
Yeah, she’s actually a 2018 ICC Champion in Collegiate competitive cheer. So, not as normal as one would think. Lol
But the closest to it. 😂
The thing that blows my mind about ash is how agile and limber he is while carrying so much muscle. It's honestly amazing to watch.
You should do a series of "I trained like a _____ for a week" and train in climbing, diving, skating, etc and see what progress you can make.
This is such a good idea!! 🤯👍
Collab with Michelle khare
He should definitely try ballet
Omggg great idea !!!
He is a gymnast. He is at the threshhold of human strength. This does not work here. Gymnastics is basically the strength and flexibility required to do any sport.
I think Ash may have zero fear and that's why he's so great at everything. He just commits 200% regardless of whether he's going to get wrecked.
this! im so jealous lol
Love Ash being in the vids more, hes a beast, fair play
Ash is my fave!❤️

Ash is just brilliant at everything and he looks amazing doing it!
The fear in his face when he does the intro on the 10m board 💀

That new YT logo though...just, why?
wth, youtube???

@@chriswyatt9869 hope so 🙈
I can enjoy watching Ash do anything. He's a like a circus bear!
My thoughts exactly 😃
That’s why they call him Ash The Bear.
Definitely a bear…;)
Well he does work for Cirque du Solei now....
@@alpachinko9154 I think the pandemic made traveling impossible for the circus so i dont think he'll be performing anytime soon
Tom Daley is just incredible and amazing I love him
Not to mention he's easy on the eyes 🥰
I’m loving this series so so much! Ash is such a delight
I rewatched the Tom Daley vid from a few years back last night and now this comes out today! :D
Same here, I thought this just came up in my related videos cause of that, and then I saw it is brand new :D
Same!!! That’s so weird!
“What is Ash designed for? Everything!” Hahah I love it!! Also..I think Ash won this one!
It’s amazing how versatile the skills are from gymnastics.
Gymnastics and diving: two sports divided by how and where you land.
daughter was a high level gymnast that just quit and took up diving 3 weeks ago... so excited to see her develop.
I won't lie, I winced on Ash's belly flop. That was commitment right there.

Please collab with Tom Daley again we love you together ❤️
Honestly, you have more balls then I do trying this out. Much respect.
It furthers how we feel about Olympians and what they have achieved. 👍
Ash either has no fear or no sense! I dont know which!!!
I say its the no sense that leads to no fear lol. That said, when you have great physical abilities and spacial awareness things are much easier.
No sense no feeling = no fear
im totally convinced ash has no fears and no one can tell me otherwise
He is absolutely fearless
Ayyy
Og’s know this isn’t his first time trying this 😉😁
That was one of the first videos i watched on this channel
yeah lol
ikr?!
I think that video is how I found his channel. I watched Tom first.
@@lucybebrouth1215 And now it's my first. 🤣😅
like this one the best so far out of the series. to bad Tom wasnt around to help out

especially in promoting sexist, puritanical and homophobic attitude on 'speedo'.

both of you are inspiring from to challenge myself and get out of what is comfortable. blessings to you from Colorado.
The editing and the SFX here made this whole video funny and engaging to watch.
This was so cool. Love seeing the skill overlap between the sports.
The height difference was nuts! It's interesting how much the technique on the board matters

My first ever video of Tom Daley was when he tried gymnastics with Nile and now after 4 years Nile is trying diving 😀
why did 6:27 make me laugh so much just the 'oh' and look over at the camera from Ash as he realised he over rotated

These were SO fun to watch... especially the feet first ones! Would watch gymnasts l day make up dives they were incredible!
I would give the trophy to Ash. He doesn't look like he can do what he does, and he does it anyway. He is a true athlete. Remarkable guy. Respect.
