ive been trying a ad bruiser build using jaksho and thornmail as tank items while building witts end and another hybrid/ attack speed items to increase damage.... it feels "good" against a heavy bruiser comp.
Cry mostly but you take orange shield always. Save Flay for disengage against the melees. Jungle ganks would be amazing with CC and lantern but we know what junglers think about top lane, so mostly safely farm and build hp into Titanic to both not die and hopefully save your tower. Always look out to pull them under tower as well. You can do that to GP but it's much harder with the orange of course.
HP is huge, you right, but the sheen effect is wasted on Thresh's low base AD so for most of Thresh's lifetime it's not actually been that great, especially with its price. Maybe it could be bought for the stats but I can't see buying it over a superior on-hit option OR a tank option, and Terminus kinda does that itself with the armor/magic resistance. Maybe Tri has changed enough that it's worth testing though, everything DID just get nerfed!
@@CryoBeat indeed the sheen isn't good, but i tend to value hp and movespeed a lot, i used to pick it sometimes top and it was good but maybe these on hit items are probably better on the paper but tresh low range can get kited and in some scenarios where you'd like ms and offence this item is quite good. also cdr means more chances to q these champs that outdmg and out range you, what i like about tresh on hit is that he is still tresh when he can't auto. while terminus makes you better in the optimal scenario. i feel like it's very hard to get it stacked in a teamfight as you don't have a way to reposition to keep your aa going in favorable fights , and the dmg you take is a lot of upfront dmg rather than late dmg is you go in first. it's a win win / lose lose item on thresh imo.
Terminus, does the same %armor pen when stacked, while giving the more important %magic pen since no matter what you build, most of Thresh's damage is magic.
