When I straighten my hair, instead of using my bare hand to carry the strand and to comb it out, I use an actual comb and guide the straightener after the comb so no stray hairs in the strand I’m ironing, plus it doesn’t hurt my hand when I have to pass the iron twice.
My hair was this EXACT color and hair texture naturally. Until I had kids. It’s the wildest thing. But my hair changed to a very dark ashy blonde and it’s straight as a board. Now after three kids it’s even darker

Joyce Nesselhauf that depends on the temp setting & the speed at which the passes are made. When you silk press you go a little slower with med-high heat, when you straighten already straight to slightly wavy hair (remove frizz, bumps, whatever) you can pass a little quicker with med-high heat & u may need an extra pass or two, or a little slower with lower-med-high heat & may not need any extra passes, or you might need 1 in difficult areas. It all equals out to the same thing in the end & depends heavily on the temp setting (something she did not mention in this video at all). But all in all, it doesn’t look like she’s being excessive with the passes at all, in my opinion - she’s only doing 2, Sometimes 3, if it’s a particularly curly piece or if she went faster on the first couple passes - which again, equals itself out in the end. Besides, all heat is damaging. If you don’t want to risk the damage to achieve the result you’re after, then don’t straighten your hair. You cannot get pin straight hair from curly hair without being willing to risk what it takes to get it. One pass would NOT have been sufficient, even on the highest setting, and looking at this iron i’d say that’s probably somewhere around 400°-410°F. So... why even bother at all if that’s the case? Lol - Source: Beauty College/Cosmetology School 2009 & several salons over multiple years thereafter. 😉

I recognise the brand, because I use it for my hair. Honestly, don't put a stupid, untrue comment on when you obviously either didn't see it or skipped some.
