I'm no expert in upgrading the dps and there are lots of rules and exceptions but i think a basic rule is to always if possible upgrade the projectiles and attack rate
One thing thats helped me a lot with item management is just put everything in folders. I have one folder that i keep everything in, including sub folders. This is so the main item box page is clear and every new item is automatically put there, ready to be sorted. Then after each level i just spend like 3 minutes either moving my new items into folders or selling them. Saves so much time and brain power.
part 3 - Sky city for the Steamsaw(Squire, Barb). - Akatiti Jungle for Obsidian (staff), sword or Sparus(Monk). - Magus citadel for the Arch Mage's Staff(apprentice).
A good way you can sell stuff without selling the stuff you want to keep is by putting the stuff you want to keep in a folder. That way you dont have to lock and unlock over and over again.
To be honest, you should try lovers paradise or infested ruins at this point, campaign for both is going to be a nightmare due to bosses, but if you unlock the survivals for both maps, you can farm armor properly, and as secondary benefits(imo) pets and weapons(weapons mostly on lovers paradise, its harder ro get good weps on IR) xD
Wouldn't spooktacular bay be more doable for him? Get his hermit up to snuff with his other builders and stall the bosses by building golems blocking the doors?
6:17 no, youre not overestimating how much range you need, in fact your range is very low, for reference a good minimum endgame range stat is 4k, where the most stacked players will have like 5.5k, on their app anyways, its very important for LTs as it not only increases the range in which they trigger (which is very small), but also increases the length of their chain, both in terms of how many enemies they can chain and how far away between enemies they can chain
Part 2: And now i wanna list some maps to farm pets. - Buccaneer Bay for Polly w25( a bit ehh) and Pirate skeleton in a Treadmill w35 (can have high builder stats). - Spooktacular Bay for Little Wizard w25 (long range dps), Eye of Ruin w30(long range dps) and Pumpkin Pirate on a treadmill w35(high builder stats) Bonus map: Crystal Cave: story = good weapons and very high exp and survival has some good pets. i bet even the insane rewards would be good for you :)

Last I knew floor drop limit is 180. Zamira gear is rewarded by completing warping core challenge pack. each part rewards a specific piece. That fish in the bowl is maxed out. Yes I know you can get more exp for it and it is NOT at max level however every stat is at or above the 500 soft cap of the pet. thus leaving you with NOTHING that can be upgraded. In other words you got one hell of a good pet on your hands! If looking for solid weapon upgrades odds are ruthless Hardcore Halloween Spooktacular with 4 heroes is your best bet. RNG can troll hard but you may get some serious upgrades. Jester is random reward weapon as is summoner. Others are class specific. Sword wielders get the sword. Monk, initiate and hermit get bat spear. Huntress and ranger get wolf bow. Adept, apprentice will get pumpkin staff. Series EV has a chance of either bow or pumpkin You may also get some good armor or pets as random rewards from the level. As for armor can't really go wrong with dread dungeon survival. Also a not so secret secret is when opening chests have ONLY summoners on the field when you open them. The game gives you weapons and armor that the heroes on the field can use. So in the case of the summoner it will pop armor and on rare occasion accessories and that is it. If looking for some interesting weapons tropics of Etheria has a sword reward for clearing it as a sword wielder. The weapon is quite powerful and very interesting in the way it works. There is an other weapon almost identical to it but MUCH more difficult and annoying to obtain. Beat Tavern incursion for that one. For pets tougher survivals have other treadmill pets. Moon base has one called Treadmill on a treadmill that can be obtained on higher difficulties if you score high enough on the dancing game and then click the fish bowl and beat the map like usual. It will reward that instead of the fish. Speaking of witch the fish in the bowl is the best overall build pet choice out there. You can get better stats but the fact that you can get damned good fish on even Hard difficulty gives them a solid edge. One Strong build pet to work your way up to obtaining is wait for it.. The Giraffe on a Treadmill. No I am serious they recently added a level 100 required version to the game that can be freaking excellent in stats! Catch is you have to clear ruthless survival on certain maps for example Alchemic Laboratory.

First of all there is a document that is commonly sent to new Players on the Dungeon defenders Discord, it has some good info on it. this doesnt list weapons that are weaker by todays standart tho. its a bit hard for me to tell if all of these are worth it but want to list some weapons you could try to farm for dps upgrades.
I can’t justify spending money on a game right now so I am living through you because I want to play this so bad. I know you were talking about burnout and missing squire play. I think it would be cool to see you back on the squire. You could just try to see what your squire is capable of or squire plus one character or something. Idk I’ll keep watching either way haha

@ yeah spook bay is defo doable, figured he is missing a DPS char, hence why I didn’t mention it. SB is one of my fave maps too :D
