Bless this man! He played for us yesterday in Vienna and it was suuuch a good vibe night! And Soichi himself is such a cute old man. He was constantly dancing and waving in this typically japanese over the top way, while he thanked us again and again through his vocoder. Everybody loved it. What a great night! :-)
Terada is one of the most real men in the music industry. You can tell he's incredibly thankful for the newfound success he's had playing his old tunes that were super-obscure back in the day. He was absolutely elated to see that someone met him at the airport just to see him (I did back in Adelaide in March). We had great conversations despite his slower English, and that's because he's just a normal guy who loves music.
Listening to stuff like this makes me so happy, I can almost see Terada in the studio with his synths and drum machines, grinning away as he fiddles with knobs and lays down some chords. Electronic music at its finest!
This particular rendition of this song, for some reason, just gives me the impression and reminds that... Ultimately, everything's going to be ok. The universe will grant and provide what I ask for and need. I don't know why. I guess... It's sort of magical
This one makes me feel like im in a dodgy bar in basement in Tokyo, full of cigarretes smoke, a couple drunk dudes around me, poor lighting, im drinkin my fifth gin tonic and this song is playing on the back. Never been to Japan.
love this guy's taste and i am sure he would love mine. If i wasn't so landlocked, i would have gone to see him for real and in person. as cursivedubline5 stated 3 years ago, goosebumps and head tingles, thanks for your music NUFF SAID
"since he's from japan and all" lmao dude do you even know ikutaro kakehashi-san? Amazing guy you should check out his biography because in 1958 he decided to make electronic musical instruments his life's work. 1972 he founded the roland corporation which made drum computers and synthesizers that defined house and techno in it's beginning era. So watch out man :) when it comes to electronic music japan is a leading nation
@LHC Nah I already know vaccinations are being used to genetically make people dumber and more submissive, just read chapter 7 of Jonas Salk, the father of vaccines, book "Survival Of The Wisest" where he states it outright. Jonas Salk the guy who invented the poliio vaccine thinks its simply natural selection for the strong to genetically alter the dna of the weak to make them dumber and more submissive. YOU ARE THE WEAK. Dumb brainwashed cretin thinks its funny. I agree that soichi is a don though.
NINE8 collective these new "net" genres are really just rehashed electronica movements from the 90s slapped with aesthetics for internet brownie points. we need more cultural awareness in the scene nowadays.
ivan ispcool yeahh said it with more satire but agreed - I more think this is was the kind of cultural obscurity they were tryna achieve in the post Internet movements but it all ended up one big ironic joke

+Charles Okonkwo i was recently blessed to see him perform as well and have many of the same positive things to say about the experience
+Carlo Industries Saw him in Montreal a couple of months ago. He was the best!
Saw him at Melkweg in Amsterdam at one of the post Dekmantel shows, and my experience was incredibly similar
Saw him in Manchester! He started on this crazy Led Zepplin sample, I'd love to know what it was. Was such a great night!

Hands down the best Cheryl Lynn Remix ever to be created.
Terada & Yokota are ahead of their time! Especially since this was made in 1991.
3:05 made me shed tears. The build up to this drop the first time hearing it was truly special.
Great educational purpose!
don't think Soichi would get this removed anyway :D
People are getting woke
