I don't know if it seems like this to anybody else, but even at 16 minutes or more it only seems like about 5 minutes. I guess time flies when you're having so much fun. Wonderful videos. Safe and happy travels, Dean and Nala.

I heard him say he wanted to do North America, and all I could think was “dear God no!” I’m a Canadian and I love my country, but I’ve got Bears, coyotes, bald eagles, cougars, and owls that come through my yard on a regular basis…and I live in a small town. Plus everything is so much farther apart than in most of Europe. I think I’d worry about them both constantly. 😳
@@Halfabee72 Same here! But the trans Canadian bike baths are pretty safe. If he gets a fire extinguisher size tank of bear spray, he should be fine, and Nala too, as long as she stays on a leash. His legs will quadruple in size by the time he's done the Rockies!

£20 for a room! Wow! £20 is about $33 Canadian and I can tell you that you won't get ANY kind of a room for a night anywhere I have ever been. I work at a hotel for 7 years now and our winter/off season rates during the week would still be at the VERY VERY lowest $79 per night. I always wondered how he affords the hotel rooms but now I understand. Seriously that's just amazing to me.

As much as I do watch you for Nala - part of the fascination is the way you travel and that you travel. I've discovered myself to be more a barnacle than a free-wind-spirit - I like my comforts and my privacy - but that's not the reason I wouldn't travel your way - because it looks wonderful and free and fun - but I wouldn't out of fear - I would go out of my mind with anxiety pitching my tent wherever I washed up. So to see you and Nala pushing on and enjoying and seeing the world and using your cosy tent and just getting along having yourselves a rich joyful time - it's wonderful - maybe it feeds that small teeny-tiny part of me that used to think I was a traveller rather than a stayer 😊

I admit that I chuckled when you warned her not to climb on the camera. It’s cool to see barges like that on the Danube. Looks like here where I live at the navigable head of the Mississippi. There’s always barges tied to the shorelines on either side of the river and seeing them either arriving or heading downstream 3x2 is pretty common. My dad used to live in one of the suburbs on the river and knew several of the barge boats well because they were always passing his property, usually daily.

The farmland reminds me a lot of Illinois, flatter than flat, except with more trees. I was watching and just started thinking, “Where are the grain elevators?” when I saw a few behind a barn, and it all was just like home.

Hungarian bike paths, in general, have not been particularly great everywhere, but the Eurovelo sections (like the EV6 they travel by) are being refurbished in many sections. There are pretty good sections of course.
In Denmark we have something called the daisy route, its bike paths that criss-cross the Danish countryside and lets one see the most beautyful places along the way, but in general i think most of western europe is very bike friendly.
I'm always relieved when you and Nala are safe and sound in a hotel room. I'm curious to know how you navigate and plan your trips. Can you do a video on that or maybe you have already done a video on that? Enjoy your food and rest!
I recently made the mistake of watching those crazy Russian car accidents on YT. What insane drivers they are, and it made me think of you and Nala constantly on busy roads. I loved the view -the light at around 4:16. golden. The only good thing about a head wind is that it keeps one warmer having to use more energy. That's my experience, anyway. I'm still constantly impressed with the bike path system. And the room is great.

Since the passing of my Misha and Sasha, Dean and Nala are the Only Cat content I watch. Hungarian bike paths, in general, have not been particularly great everywhere, but the Eurovelo sections (like the EV6 they travel by) are being refurbished in many sections. There are pretty good sections of course.
In Denmark we have something called the daisy route, its bike paths that criss-cross the Danish countryside and lets one see the most beautyful places along the way, but in general i think most of western europe is very bike friendly.
I'm always relieved when you and Nala are safe and sound in a hotel room. I'm curious to know how you navigate and plan your trips. Can you do a video on that or maybe you have already done a video on that? Enjoy your food and rest!

I recently made the mistake of watching those crazy Russian car accidents on YT. What insane drivers they are, and it made me think of you and Nala constantly on busy roads. It may sound silly, but I think of your safety often, maybe because I’m also a cat lover. Thousands of us I’m sure, pray for your protection every day. God bless you and Nala. The only good thing about a head wind is that it keeps one warmer having to use more energy. That's my experience, anyway.

Oh Europe is SO BEAUTIFUL!! Anyone else notice how there are no traffic jams (like the USA!) and it is so CLEAN, and horses, swans, etc. are spotted!

Since the passing of my Misha and Sasha, Dean and Nala are the Only Cat content I watch. My medical condition means I can no longer have cats so seeing the genuine affection Nala has for Dean does my heart some good. Those sweet memories of my boys are the most precious things I have.
