I would love a video from you on how to protect your skin when walking outside in really cold temperatures! It's currently -12 C (10 F) here in Norway. Also, how to care for windburned cheeks once you get inside and your cheeks get burning hot 🔥
Thanks, Kelly. Your commentary is spot-on, as usual. I feel exactly the same about the Pyunkang Yul Black Tea Cream. Wonderful product in a jewel box with an elegant container. Then, no spatula for a jar with a base that is wider than the opening. I'd like to say, spend less on the box and give me a spatula.
I personally got back to basics: toner (T'am Vitamin C) + sunscreen (T'am VitaC) for a few months now. That sunscreen feels incredible for the price (I put my history of whoo moisturisers aside as it does the job just as well) and toner could really be any toner. In any case my skin enjoyed the drastic simplification: 2 steps is more than enough 4 me now.
Hi Kelly! Thank you for this video highlight of my morning💕 QUESTION: how does the korres mask compare to the bioderma sensibio and the im from honey mask? I think you’ve tried those as well. I’m curious how you decide when to use those. Thank youuuu stay warm ☺️🌷
Bioderma is similar in texture and feel but I think bioderma shines when skin is really irritated and needs to be soothed, where Korres has more of a pick me up, brightening but not stimulating effect. Honey mask is best for the ultimate moisture, that one you can leave on for up to an hour to get the moisture to infuse into your skin. Hope that helps, all 3 are excellent!
@@KellyDriscoll ah! Thank you! I think I need to restock that I’m from honey mask and cop the bioderma one for sure! I thread my face often and it always needs moisture and soothing. Thank you Kelly 😌💕
Hey Kelly I have a question for you! I have dehydrated (from 1 to 10 let’s say 8) skin and I’ve been using hyalurinic acid serum (the one from Vichy). To my surprise I found out that is making my skin more dehydrated so apparently if you have dehydrated skin you should being applying HA differently? Idk I’m lost can you help me? 😢
Love these routine focused videos Kelly♡ I am loving ample n ceramide shot ampule for winter along with dr ceuracle kombucha essence!! What a divine duo!! I am also glad to see you still using and enjoying KORESS mask and giving to a Greek skincare company some credit! 🇬🇷🙏
Have you tried the mixsoon ginseng root essence? It seems quite similar to the beauty of Joseon. They both use fermented ginseng and it is in the same price range. Ginseng is usually expensive.
Hi Kelly! I love your videos and advice and you helped my skin so much🤍 I’m looking for a cheaper alternative for Sioris cleans me softly which I LOVE (and I don’t really like Cerave). Have you tried Q+A oat milk cream cleanser? 🙏🏻 or do you have recommendations for more cream cleansers?
I remember hearing that Brandon Tartikoff was a big proponent of the non acid acid precursor. Apparently he wasn’t a big fan of acids but offered them because the public wanted them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! 😘 I’m looking into fermented ingredients and have heard that sometimes it aggravates acne. What’s your take on this? I’m interested in the Missha FTE and Cosrx galactomyces and have heard that a lot of acne prone people have broken out from the Missha. I love my Scinic FTE upon your recommendation of course, but am curious about other similar products.
If you've used other fermented products in the past without issue, you should be fine (everyone is different, there are no guarantees). Cosrx and Scinic share the same fermented ingredient so you should feel confident trying that one since Scinic has worked well for you.
I think it can, but you can find products that contain both if you want to hit it from both angles. I highly recommend alpha arbutin for fading pigmentation too. I had really impressive results with The Ordinary’s alpha arbutin + HA serum, which also just felt nice and hydrating. But, Peace Out do a dark spot serum that contains a higher percentage of alpha arbutin than The Ordinary’s serum and it also contains a higher percentage of tranexamic than The Inkey List’s tranexamic serum, along with a few other pigmentation-fading ingredients, but it may be too potent to use under the eyes due to the AHAs it contains. Just thought it was worth mentioning anyway, as only by reading through the ingredients did I discover what a powerhouse it is in comparison to using alpha arbutin/tranexamic acid focused serums from other brands 🤯
I just found your channel and I'm so excited because we have very similar skin types. I'm not really familiar with KBeauty. I struggle with finding sunscreen that doesn't irritate my skin. I also very much struggle with Shea butter based creams. I want to love them because many feel rich like they would moisturize but then I end up with flakes? I look forward to continuing to watch.
Do you think you might have seborrheic dermatitis and the shea butter is aggravating it? Seborrheic dermatitis is an odd one, as it can result in oily skin with dry flaking (essentially combination), so can be confusing if you don’t know what’s causing it. But, it’s a yeast that lives on your skin, eating away at sebum, and releasing a byproduct that irritates the skin, and it also likes eating certain ingredients found in moisturisers, such as shea butter.
@@spookylittlebat thanks for your reply. I don't think I do. My husband has had a flare of that off and on over the years and he uses a dandruff shampoo on it. I may need to research more. But it only.happens with chemical spfs (that's probably more of an irritation) and then with Shea butter moisturizer that has Shea in the first 2-5 ingredients. But if it's later down the list no problem. But I will definitely read some.more. I am 49 with much more dry skin as I've aged and with tretenion.
@@amelie4363 wow you are first person that I have ever heard say they responded differently to Shea most people swear by it for dry skin. And I have creams that have Shea but not the first few ingredients. I seem to have good luck with urea so I ordered a 5% cream I'm going to try. It just seems ahea makes my skin drier.

I oddly love winter but not the dry skin that comes with it! Perfect timing for this video 😊
Winter can be a pretty time of year (that first snowfall is lovely) but definitely agree, I could do without the dryness!
92% Aloe cream from Nature Republic for my face and body before moisterizer helps. a lot.
I'm so excited about best of skincare 2022!!!!
Yes, that Cerave healing ointment is the best!!
Such a lovely, melty texture, my skin really enjoys it!
I just ordered the Stratia Liquid Gold after I watched your video. I am excited to try it, as the colder weather definitely dries me out!
Kelly got many people hooked on this including myself. Hope you enjoy:)
For my "exfoliation snack" I use cocokinds turmeric illuminating solution. 7% pha, mandelic, and glycolic blend. It's my go-to for the past few months
Love when you do these close up detailed vids Kelly ! ❤

Do you mean Brandon Truax, the founder of The Ordinary? Tartikoff was the president of NBC, if I'm not mistaken.
