9525 kHz is a familiar frequency on the 31m band. I remember that BBC would transmit on this frequency back in the 80s and if I'm not mistaken it was mainly a transmission to the African continent. Adventist World Radio can be heard at my QTH clearly and this religious station often chooses the clearest frequency for the Southeast Asian region. Some of its programmes are broadcast in standard Indonesian language (no dialects). BTW, Andre.. I got the replacement D-220 from my XHDATA dealer at no. charge. Unlike the defective orange one which they sent me last year, the new green one is perfect. The FM reception is clear as it should be. I think the store is aware of some problematic batches of the D-220 as they sent me a new one without asking me many questions. I just sent them a video of the defective orange unit and they recognized the problem. 📻😊 And the cool Clooblut aka Lijiani is on its way to me in a few days! I gotta thank you for recommending me an inexpensive multi band pocket radio with a digital readout that's not from XHDATA! ☺️
This is good news, I am happy to hear that you received a new D-220 and that it works well now! I really do enjoy that little radio, just for the fun factor! The Clooblut is also fun, but a bit more serious fun 😊 It is great for checking out the bands before you settle down for a serious DXing session. And it is great as a walking radio, that is what I use mine for.
I love how the Sangean (?) in the background doubles as a clock in this video 😍 And I'm glad AWR had reinstated FOUR SW broadcasts out of the bunch they eliminated. But I still can't help but blame them for becoming a direct cause for the closure of Moosbrunn 👺
Speaking of Moosbrunn... At the end of last Sunday's Radio DARC show on 9670 kHz, now via Woofferton, they played a bilingual ad for Channel 292, in German & English. However, I expected Radio Joystick to follow @ 11:00 UTC on 9600 kHz, but this didn't happen 🙄
Thanks Arnie! I don't know why I haven't done this before, the Sangean (it is the PR-D4W) has a nice and big display, perfect to double as a clock in my videos! Makes it easier for me afterwards also to add the correct times. It is good news that AWR reinstated some of their broadcasts. Let's hope there will be more. Maybe it is a process of negotiation and signing contracts and then more of the former programming will return to other transmitters...

I think their English shortwave broadcasts are aimed at Africa. I heard the opening of a holy door during Christmas and that had commentary in English for Africa.
Vatican Radio seems to have a lot of frequencies that target Africa, I hear them often. It makes sense, Christianity is very strong in many parts of Africa.
