Some of them are ok but they're not great overall. My favourite was some fire demon thing from the Séance set. Other than that it's been pretty bland. It feels like it's trying to copy old Pokémon but the problem is that most old Pokémon is still very affordable in one form or another. They're trying to do something that's already been done better and is still around today. The other problem is that I don't thinking anyone cares about cryptids outside of America.
LMAO that clickbait junk icon and title, yeah in 1 month it went from 168 to 176....... which is still WAY WAY below what it even came out at, people just buying some shit for holiday gifts, don't believe for a moment this is going skyrocketing back up
He didn't say they would. He simply said he believes it is at its bottom. He has been unequivocally clear that skyrocketing is no longer in the cards for any magic product. His goal is, and always has been, a simple 5% increase in value each year. If they are at the bottom, then 5% per year is not unrealistic.
@@NOLA-vv3sz He has called countless bottoms and been wrong about all. Even if it is a bottom it could go sideways for years lol who cares if you gain 5% a year if the box he sold you already collapsed 50%. You going to wait decades to break even? lol
The controversy around the collector box wasn't that nobody wanted, it was that lgs's bought them for over $300 and the retail price a month later was under $200.
You're wrong, we paid $319 for set boxes, the collector boxes cost us 170ish from distribution, but the being at $170 now still means I make zero profit on the product.
What if I told you can buy them for $130...so no they havent bottomed as TCG isn't the market place and in many cases is manipulated by false marketing entries of $10,000.
How is crimson vow and midnight hunt doing rudy? What about Brothers war? I heard baldursgate had short term sales boost from the really good video game.
I bought up a bunch of CMM draft boxes when they dropped, cracked a few of them, got 2x ROI from the singles. Such a great set, but the price scares people.
Eh Wizards still has to prove they aren't gonna reprint every card over 2 dollars, until then boxes won't move much. Lottery cards, variants, serialization, or other chases no longer holding impact for long term box value, especially if the cards they are made for will just be dumped out in another set 3-6 months from now looking even flashier.
The serialized cards are terrible. They're basically lottery tickets and are virtually nonexistant for most. They also don't have the value to really match how rare they are. I mostly blame that on the fact the number is the only unique feature. The same art and framing being available without the number and "special" foiling means there's less demand than there might be otherwise.
@@Mirthful_Midori I agree. They need artwork unique to the serialised cards. Creating a kind of "art reserved list" would make them truly desirable. When it's just a number it feels like a con.
If they don't get reprinted half a dozen times with variants and secret lairs and whatever else then the cards will be powercreeped in due time. Hasbro got to keep those few suckers who buy during/after release before the honeymoon ends somehow...
Commander cash grab. A stain on the MTG name and history. Ripping off stores, players and collectors. Devaluing collections but the "game pieces" people are happy. They get great cards for pennies on the dollar. Hasbro is happy because it got the money from the LGSs. Boxes are cheaper on TCG compared to reputable distributors. Just throw your money away. Wizards is run by clowns.
Why would I buy any modern Magic product when the cards inside have been, and will be, reprinted into the dirt? Dominaria Remastered on its own introduced SIX unique prints of "Force of Will" to the market. I'll keep the original Alliances version with the art that won't be re-used.
And why is force of will still $52? It’s almost like after the insertion of 6 different versions of the card to the market got consumed by people always wanted to play with the card. Rudy keeps making “game pieces!” Quotes but quite frankly people actually play this fuckin game which consumes the product.
I still can't believe these "investors" can't understand this. That is why the liquidity on these boxes are collapsing because you don't need to open any old stuff anymore because its constantly reprinted.
Im just happy more brave souls are stepping up for the fight! My local GS just put up a sign banning all black Aragorn players! Long over due but we cant risk that sort of ideology talking with our woman and drinkin our water! Keep up the good fight brother yeeeeeee haaaaaw.

Well that's nice of you. 61 cents for the dollar, so a set box would sell for about $180. Ya, I would buy it too. Too bad for the person already losing money for selling below $300... or is that the true reason why it hasn't gone to zero. Sellers trying to minimize their losses.
i like how now, after stores closes and they firesaled with huge lose all the boxes to pay everything up the boxes dramasticly increase in prices and demand is superlow.. I just saw it on eBay for $150, how come we are using TCGplayer pricing when it’s cheaper on eBay and Amazon?
Right now it's held up by speculators alone. If we get growth through next year then it's safe to say the market has recovered.
