Amen Clinics saved my life after suffering from mold illness for 15 years. Mainstream doctors made everything worse by misdiagnosing me and medicating me into oblivion. I had a bad reaction to one of the meds which gave me short term amnesia for several months... lost my job, bank took my car and my house. I was homeless during the pandemic. I finally got some money from my house and went to Amen in Seattle. They knew what I needed and now, 2 years later, I feel better than I have ever felt in my entire life at 39.

Thank you, for sharing! I 💯 understand, almost to an exact T, your story. I have my upcoming history/zoom appointment on the 12th. I've lost 2 jobs, a 3 1/2 relationship, nearly my car, but mold costing me the roof over my head managed to help save that. I barely have 2 (now very distant) friends left, out of several. I have completely been stripped of me, especially in this past year in a half.

Thank You, Dr. Cornish, for producing this video. We have lived this nightmare after my son was exposed to black mold during a summer session at college. It took years to be validated. The journey can almost destroy the heart and soul of a person and their caretaker when there is little to no understanding or validation from the medical world. family, and friends. Thank You, your willingness to understand and your work is a blessing to many. Praying for you and you patients. ❤️
This video is a phenomenal explanation of what can happen when exposed to toxic mold.

    • @brittinipeck9189

Absolutely! Thank you Dr. Cornish! ❤️ Every symptom you described, putting mold toxicity, "At the top of my list, well or close to the top of my list...". I believe that's close to how you said it. I have and have been experiencing on/off for years. I've never been this sick though. My old static socks, let's just say they've manifested into entire body electrical voltage like jolts. When those electric like currants, LIKE LIGHTNING BOLTS, that's exactly how I've been describing it to my family for about a year now. My entire body jumps up off couch and it's as terrifying to my as it is painful!!! It's like lightning shooting from our of my fingers and toes!!! It hurts, but I really can't describe the kind of pain cause it's more scary almost than it is hurting. My heart just starts racing and I feel this well like electric highly intense shock throughout my whole body and in my heart even too. That's nothing compared to the overwhelming over heating of my body, and or the rest of my MAIN SYMPTOMS.
      Thank you, again, too.

Thank you for this my 15 year old son has been dealing with many of the symptoms discussed. They keep treating him as strictly psychological with drugs which haven't helped. Anger, delerium, mood swings, unsteady gate. This has come on so fast since moving into an historic home with known mold issues. The medical community has blown me off repeatedly but I can't overlook this.

youtube algorithm brought your podcast to me and I feel so relieved. I have been sick almost all my life and never knew why and never got very well. I recently moved into a house with toxic mold and I have gotten very sick. Now I know, my life long sickness was from mold sensitivity. I found an NP who specializes in similar things as you. I have been diagnosed with CIRS. I will be moving soon from the moldy house and the very humid climate to a desert region with low dew points. With the help of the NP and the single digit dew points, I am anticipating to start feeling better. This moldy house is even affecting my dog and cat. I have not come across very many MD's who have a grasp of the mold issues, but you sure do! I subscribed and I hope you keep sharing videos.

I wish I had a happy Amen Clinic story to share. Unfortunately, they wanted to put me on 5 meds and my son on 3. I had brain inflammation caused by tick illness, and mold illness (neither of which they diagnosed). I also had post concussion syndrome, and my son has a TBI. Can honestly say, Amen Clinic was a waste of time and money. We have both received TMS therapy, and it was phenomenal. We both highly recommend TMS, and do not recommend Anen Clinic unless you are a celebrity.

Thank you for this information. My husband, 10 year old daughter and I are currently living in a toxic nightmare ourselves. We had a reoccurring leak at our apartment that they would never fix until it didn’t stop on its own last year. After they opened 6 holes in our wall, our 12 year old cat died of pneumonia like symptoms and my husband’s symptoms have worsened greatly. We finally put it all together that there IS mold inside the walls. Our vents look like they have mold as well. But we are at a loss of what to do because our apartments will not help us (we have emailed the assistant manager and corporate) and they just ignore us or tell us that soot sometimes gets into the vents.

After having leaks for over 5 yrs in bathroom, asking landlord to fix it correctly hadnt worked. He's FINALLY fixed the actual leak and told the man upstairs he can't pour BUCKETS of water on floor when mopping....(knocking on wood) no more water seeping from ceiling. BUT our super accidentally let me see the inside of the bathroom walls.omg it was absolutely BLACKER than black. I am feeling as if I am dying in this apt and I don't know what to do.
I do not have renter's insurance, and I can't imagine what type of lawyer to look for. Not to mention I can't even think correctly, I can't think of w'falling asleep too much, as I am right now. I apologize. But

@@bkbekka3039 What State is this? I know that you DO NOT need to hire an attorney. There are laws protecting renters. Call your local Tenants Rights, either City or County.
      They will help you.
It's not a cost to Renters, that's the law.
Most Landlords think they can scare you away from mold, water damage, replacing appliances, pest control, ants 🐜 🐜 🐜 🐜 🐜 etc. .. when in fact they are all the responsibilities of your Landlord.
If they don't want to be advertised in say, the NEWS, they should pay up.
Pay for a place to stay while they remediate.
The Tenants Right ppl know when an attorney is needed and usually find a pro Bono for you.
Best of all good things coming to you .

Bean protocol. Methylation. After high motility ( gut and colon) then binders- consistency is massively important.
If you want toxins out- you have to be evacuating 1-2x daily.
Testing is great. If you don’t have $ to do this- there are many videos on mold detox on yt. How valuable is you health? Must be out of the moldy environment.

Before attending my gym yesterday, Planet Fitness, it was hot outside, 75 plus degrees, then it rained and got really cool 60ish degrees. I walk into the gym, extremely humid, no AC, only slow moving fans, so I sweat easily while seeming to easily feel the moister from other people's sweat in the air, while I breath. About an hour or so later, the AC is now on at the gym, fulll blast. I'm like, "OK, that's good, less moister." I go outside, now it's really much colder. I get home, sore throat, slight cough, I think, "pneumonia weather" as my aunt would say. The next day, I think, "I need a COVID test, I'm ill, feeling irritated in my neck and top chest area. I go to my job. I avoid coffee, then I drink coffee. It seemingly helps then I eat chocolate. It seemingly helps. Then later after work while at home I think, "mole spores from the gym", However, eaarlier un the day, before work, , I try cough medicine, then after work, Alka seltzer severe cold, and acetaminophen. I also take a benadryl as I'm finding this video. Your research and information shared is a God send. Psychologically, I'm feeling much better already. Sweet tea from Popeyes also seemingly helped. I will keep drinking water and detoxing. You're AMAZING! Keep up your great work! & Thanks a million! 😊🥰

My brain is quickly becoming more and more difficult to think, remember, work and I am completely alone in this except for my faith in God.
*Don't ask a regular Western Medicine Physician, see a "Functional doctor" or a Naturopathic who has been trained in immune disorders and mold exposure who know how to treat this and how to prescribe Cholestyramine for you.
      Otc: Activated charcoal.
      Bentonite clay in powder form.
I wrote about not using a metal spoon to mix etc. ..
Have you been exposed and feeling the symptoms they're describing here?
      Its super confusing to experience.
      I'm so grateful for Amen Clinic's 🙏🏻
I had learned about Dr. Amen after I got Lyme Disease infected and was supposed to get a brain SPECT from him 7 years ago.
I regret that I was talked out of going by well meaning close friend who had been dealing with Lyme Disease much longer than I had.
I don't know why but I haven't used my Cholestyramine binder.
I used it 5 years ago with no problems and it helped.
Today I'm in a different situation where I am supposed to move out of the house I'm living in ~ per my Naturopath who is treating my Lyme Disease.
When my blood test came back positive for every strain they tested & one was "Off the charts"
My physicians want me to move out asap, and so do I.
I have not been able to find anyone who will help me.
I'm in 6th month of living in a house filled with Mycotoxins.
I feel like I'm being poisoned to death. ..
The rate of "ending life" is extremely high for the chronic immune suppressed that are stuck in chronic conditions creating chronic illnesses that feel like death anyway.
However, I truly believe in a complete healing of both Lyme Disease and Mold Mycotoxin illness if given the chance of living in a mold free, stress free ( I'm being bullied to death here)
Literally being screamed and yelled at plus threatened on a daily basis.
I want my once beautiful life back.
The Cholestyramine I've been prescribed is a compound and was only at a pharmacy in Boston, Hopkinton. They are now in Texas, I have the name, - just can't recall offhand.
Here's the website of my Naturopaths and m.d.
      Sfpmg.com
They said they are taking new patients from out of area via phone or face time.
      I'm rooting for you 👍🏻

I'm - at this very moment - ....just... look I'm "in it" - and multigenerationally-so. I live with my dad in his mother's house. My Nanna lived here and developed alzheimers, my father lived here most of his life and in addition to now showing signs of early onset dementia - he is a posterchild for behavioral codependency personality disorders... which leads him to gaslite the shit out of me all the time regarding the mold. I have lived here intermittenly my whole life, but never full time as i have now been for the past 3-4 years. I know a water pipe broke in the past and a mold remediatin specialist came out, and I know that rain water gets under the house. I also have documented the various kinds of mold (pink/red and brown/black) growing in every room, on every air vent, as well as (seemingly) all the drains. Having dealt with mental disorders my who life I know when something foreign is altering my state. I'm going to shut up now and get to the point: the space of mycology seems totally out of reach to the average consumer. I cant find any information on what if any public services (even if only informational) are out there. We're poor. Are there any options for me? I found a bad growth yesterday and cleaned it... immediately shat myself and passed out. I woke up and can smelll fucking cheese and im watching my cat die from this. Im dying. I'm demonstrating rock-solid mental health by clacking this into a youtube comment box. I need advice. I have no money.

In all seriousness, do y'all need a test subject? I am experiencing - without exception- every single symptom mentioned in this video. Multiple generations who lived in this house have issues that can be traced to mold. I am aware that this is a "controversial" subject (ie: because anything that would alter the profit model of big pharma is off limits by default by virtue of their funding a nontrivial portion of research grants... tangent) which is why I think I may have useful data because the mold here is very low-key and flares up seasonally, but remains hidden (for the most part).... as I imagine is the case in many homes. Depression, anxiety, ADHD numbers keep going up, I can assure you that the mold here has DRASTICALLY worsened my disordrs and has caused a few new ones to develop - for instanc, I only exhale. Full stop.

Hi Lisa. The high dopamine levels that you would see on a organic acid urine test are most often present due to fusaric acid ( a mold metabolite) that blocks DBH. With DBH blocked you have trouble converting dopamine to epinephrine and norepinephrine. The result is hyper focus and OCD from dopamine overload in the pre frontal cortex while simultaneously having no energy.

Ceilings and walls not so much. The washer is low water use one an also is a breeding ground. The people here have been exposed to it for 8 years now. The mental symptoms are most apparent. The one just had a liver problem. How ever both drink beer in excess. Both the humans and dog exhibit extreme anger at times. Dog is on meds for allergies. I'm being worked up for Sjogren's; don't know if that's related. NO doctors to turn to where I live and I'm in a wheelchair and have no transportation to the city. Just sick all the time.

Can mold cause interstitial cystitis and chronic abdominal issues. Gallbladder infection appendicitis, adenomyosis and fibroids in uterus. 1 year after moving out of an apartment I begain to have constant panic and anxiety attacks. I lost wait and the fear was so bad I felt like I was going to die. A year later I found out I had a chronic gallbladder infection, year later hysterectomy and another year later appendix surgery. Then I was diagnosed with having chronic gastritis and soon after interstitial cystitis. I was a heathy person overall and all these conditions and problems happened all of a sudden. Could this be related to mold illiness. Also I have nutritional defiencies. Yeast and fungal overgrowth. Diagnosed with anexity and depression. Any info if mold could have caused my medical problems. Thank you

I suffered from mold toxicity and it attacked my immune system. It also attacked my liver which affected my gallbladder so I have gallstones. I also have yeast overgrowth and was low in vit. D, B, and iron. Mold can attack different parts of your body so I would get that checked out if I were you! Sadly regular doctors don't care enough to look into it. This is such good information. My immune system is low and after having covid I strongly believe mold is the reason I haven’t been able to heal faster. We had a leak in our plumbing system under the home, even though it has been fixed I’m sure it left behind some sort of mold because a few months after the musty sewer smell lingered. I’m working on trying to get out of this lease and home. Is there anything I can do to help myself and my family until I get out of this place ?

      U have rights
      These will vary by state
Landlords have to provide a safe living environment
They should be able to terminate the lease due to liability
If plumbing was fixed request a mold test swab and air to make sure it was remediated
      I just went through this
If they dont comply you could sue

There are essentially no good mold inspectors out there - mainly because the most sensitive mold detection systems are the human body, no test has ever been able to come close to both accurate and sensitive thresholds.

Last spring my son and I had to tear down an old backyard shed because it had mold. Within a few days we BOTH had bladder infections. His went away in a few days while mine lingered on for weeks and to this day ( 6 months later) it still feels like it is slightly there. I have urethral discomfort and pain and urine urgency that I never had before we knocked that shed down. I suspect there is mold behind my bedroom wall as I smell a musty smell in there too.

      @@Lynore_Marie ur most welcome Lenore.
in the end if this GoFundMe doesn't work out & u can't afford a professional to clean up. maybe that friend or another wouldn't mind scrubbing it off for u while u stay somewhere else for a few days to let the house breathe? they could buy 1 of those suits from the home depot store that painters & handymen wear, it goes over ur clothes & shoes & head, an industrial face mask to prevent them breathing in the mold & toxic fumes from the mold remover spray & safety goggles so the spores wont enter their eyes. that would seem like the easiest/cheapest way to at least try resolve the problem, depending on how much mold there is in the whole house.
but the air purifier will really help once you've cleaned up the mold especially.
i'm trying to find an affordable one myself as i have asthma & an allergy to mold already and my landlord keeps downplaying the mold & all the doctors i've been to surprisingly aren't even aware of toxic black mold! O.O they just want to prescribe me a basic nasal spray coz the insides of my nostrils have been permanently swollen since corona started (when i first had the mold problem), so i'm basically breathing through 1/4 of my nose.
i live in a coastal city so it's humid all year round, but worse in the winter months, plus there's a leak under the kitchen sink.
this problem really does start to make u go insane, coz when u come home after a long day at work u want to feel relaxed & comfortable, but instead u face another massive stress & sleeping it off isn't even an option.
can i ask u, do u also experience a very sore throat especially when u wake up?
waking up is the worst feeling for me coz my lungs feels so compressed & crackle & i'm constantly having to take my inhalers, which saddens me coz i trained my body not to need my inhalers like 18 years ago & i only need them if im sick or have an allergy to something, but now im taking them everyday and to make that worse the doctors in this coutnry wont even prescribe me my inhalers so my friend abroad sends me hers, ridiculous & negligent
