Clint Walker is the best western actor I have ever seen.Cheyenne was such a gentleman,so soft spoken.I watch all the Cheyenne shows everyday.God bless you Clint you are loved and admired by millions.
I have gotten to know him later in my life, and sad he passed in 2018, just sad he left us. He will always be my Hero. In personal life, he was a kind, sweet, nice guy. A good guy.
I've read that Clint was cremated but his 3rd wife susan refused to but his ashes in a cemetery, is that true? I was hoping after Susan died, maybe his only daughter from his first marriage would have his ashes buried so all his fans could pay respects to this wonderful man!
I watch "Cheyenne" regularly on Encore Westerns and always had the feeling that Clint Walker was very much like the character, strong but gentle and gracious. This interview appears to support it. A terrific guy.
I don't think you'll find actors like Clint in Hollywood today. He turned out some great films and TV shows and seems to be a very sincere person. Very distinguished man and actor.
God bless you Clint, you are an American Treasure,we need more men like you.I have been a fan of your for over 50 years. No one could have play Cheyenne like you did,you are a kind and gentle man.Bless you ans stay well.
He just makes you love him more and more. I could sit and listen to him for days...about his life, his beliefs and how our young men need to be today. Wouldn't that be a great to have on a DVD: 'Clint Walker: The Man'....a 4 hour (or 6 ) with special feature bonus's.
Clint - You are the true difinition of a MAN, you can't find one around like him these days..He has class, extremely good looks,is sincere and what a voice to go along with it !!! He comes across as a real Gentle Man. When I listen to his voice I feel how at peace he must be with his world..... This world needs more Clint Walkers!!!!
It's 2020 He was one of my big crushes growing up. I have been bingeing all his movies, watching interviews, now on to my favorite Western TV shows, Cheyenne. I am amazed ❤ that his down to earth character is so much like his real life personality. GOD BLESS YOU IN HEAVEN. You are truly a good man.
In these times we live in now. I feel very lucky to have experienced westerns of this caliber. I admire Clint walker greatly and watch his show every time I get the chance. The best days are behind us. Times haven't changed for the better.
@KKG51 . YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT CLINT WALKER IS A PROFESSIONAL AND IS A TRUE GENTLEMAN AND THE WHOLE WORLD IS IN SHORT SUPPLY I STILL WATCH HIM DAILY JUST LIKE JUDGE JUDY
when i watch clint walker in these clips it takes me back to a great era of t v what i would give to be that kid all over again !!!!clint you were my hero!!!!!
What a wonderful kind man, you could always hear it in his voice... I am 70 years old now, thanks for being there in my youth Mr. Walker, your show and demeanor made Cheyenne a fantastic role model.. Maybe we will meet in the next life....
When I was about 12 years old our family lived in a trailer park in North Hollywood. Clint would drive through the park on occasion to visit a friend. He had 2 modes of transportation. One was a World War II Jeep the other was a Vespa motor scooter. Neither of those vehicles are very big and he made them look even smaller. One day a friend and I walked to his house for his autograph. We knocked on his door. His wife answered. Then he came to the door with a picture for each of us. What a day!!!
I loved watching Cheyenne when I was a kid. Clint Walker was someone I could look up to growing up in a single parent home. Roy Rogers was another favorite of mine.
Thanks, Clint...you've been a hero of mine since I was in high school. Now I get to see you on Encore Westerns..what a great time to spend..just as good as I remembered! Best to you in the future, Clint.
I have had 18 years of experience in the academic theater, and have had lucky opportunities to speak to professionals. I listen to as many actor interviews as I can, and read lots of biographies of artists old and new in film, television and stage. There is one thing I've learned holds true--the nice guys finish first, and the top talent are true ladies and gentlemen all. Mr. Walker fits that description.
I just really found you recently Clint and now I watch all your shows and movies, God Bless You and Thank You for being such a great actor and roll model on how a real man should carry himself!
growing i wished i was clint walker & at 63 still do - the perfect guy - i even got a autographed picture by him - kids are missing out on heros these days he was one & mickey mantle back in the day
I sure loved you Mr. Walker....suppose I still do!! Like you said it seems like only yesterday and yet it also seems like many years ago! Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication. I miss those times. Barb in Denver, CO
Clint, you are a special guy...we watch you everynight during dinner and we just love you a million....thank you so much for who you are....Sam & Bernadette.
Another great man and hero much like Mr. Walker, was Fess Parker who played Daniel Boone. I grew-up in Santa Barbara around many of my favorite movie and TV stars as a kid and later went into TV and Film in Hollywood and NYC myself. Those were wonderful times in Southern California in the 60s, it was like living on a big movie set as most of our family friends were on TV or on the big screen. It's so sad to see that those times are long-gone. But what wonderful memories. Real Americana.
" I had to do it the very best that i could " yep you certainly did Sir . The unforgettable Clint Walker as Cheyenne . Writing this in 2020, I feel so sorry for today's young folk and the trash that is dished out to them masquerading as entertainment . NO more heroes no more morals no more decency , no more talent and .... no more role models . Saddens me greatly .
After reading the multitude of comments what more can be added, Clint has it all and humility makes him that much more adored by so many! Yes (as Mark Levin)pointed out, Clint is very Reagan like. Must be why he is loved by so many. Live long big guy!
I saw "Dirty Dozen" when I was a kid and I've always wanted to be that tall nice looking guy...33 years later, zapping the TV I stumble across "More Dead Than Alive", this western that oddly makes me wanna watch it 'till the end because of an unbelievable lead character played by a huge nice looking actor that seamed to be familiar. It was Clint Walker. Greatly underestimated, humble, talented, nothing like nowadays moronic-metrosexual-how's-my-hair-nevermind-my-stupidity leading characters.
Seems Hollywood had a talent for picking gentleman with a good work ethic back in the days. It's been a blessing to have westerns playing in the background .
Walker seemed to be one of the few Hollywood actors that command respect. Thanks for the hard work and wonderful memories Clint. We'll see you on the other side brother!
Clint Walker was a great and humble man. I had the opportunity to correspond with him on several occasions and he could not have been nicer. I will miss him.
I've watched Cheyenne, Cheyenne where will you be riding tonight since I was 8 years old. Loved him and and what a great show! Always in my heart's memory!!
Walker comes across as incredibly humble. He was certainly a pleasure to behold. I once knew a man 6'6" and he also had a non-arrogant, jovial demeanor. Must be something in the air up there.
I watched that show a lot . Your one of my favorite cowboys. I’ve always liked watching your shows. Night of the grizzly I think was the name of it. Enjoyed that also. God bless ya Clint and wish you the best.
Thank you for these videos. He is always watchable and always fascinating. A shame he isn't still acting. I'd watch him make a car commercial! Fascinating stuff. Thank you.

Just watching Cheyenne many years ago with my dad who passed many years ago it makes me sad in my old age it bring a lump to my throat and a tear god bless MR walker
It's amazing how many people wear their feelings on their sleeves just because their favorite cowboy wasn't mentioned. First of all this page is about Clint Walker, and second of all they were all great actors in their own way, and lastly... who is the best out of the bunch is strictly a matter of opinion. As the old saying goes best is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I loved them all... including Gene Autry.
He was my favorite western actor of the years he played Cheyenne and other parts he played after that and the movies he was in. I bought an autographed boxed set of the first season from his website. In 2009, I wrote him an email on his webpage asking about his part in the Ten Commandments. I saw his name in the credits and always looked for him in that movie, but could not find him. He actually wrote back about it. He said he was one of the Pharaoh's Guards and had a goatee and was behind the thrown and did not have any lines.
Im in my late 20's and i love Cheyenne...i want my grandkids to be able to watch this classic, but westerns, much like silent films might be a thing of the past probably by the time my kids are 18 and i haven't even had kids yet..but you never know, Clint Walker is so loveable it just might still be running💖
I often wonder, "How is it that this man, Clint Walker, never played Superman? Him being cast as Superman would have been the greatest and most spot on casting choice for the character.
Always liked him when I was a boy growing up in the 70s. Unfortunately never got to see the series. Although I got to see him in other Westerns movies. He was a gentle giant
You are certainley a hero in my book, Not just because of Cheyenne Bodie its the man himself Clint Walker , Top Man................ Tezza The Manch uk............
The more I learn about Clint Walker, the more I love him. What a gentleman. A true hero.
“I had to do it the very best I could” - A work ethic that everyone should have. Thank you Clint Walker.

He seemed so humble.
@@terryhoffman2760 he is so young in this interview, I later heard he had heart complications
I have never told a man that I loved him. I love you clint walker.

Seems like a genuine down to earth man..

The man is greater than the character he played. Clint seems to be a very real gentleman, humble and at peace with himself.
RIP Cheyenne, my youngest son middle name is Cheyenne, in honor of this great character...

He was great at any acting part he did. I loved him too when he came out with Lucille Ball on her show, he could also do comedy very well.
Walker comes across as incredibly humble. He was certainly a pleasure to behold. I once knew a man 6'6" and he also had a non-arrogant, jovial demeanor. Must be something in the air up there.
Actors today will never be like the good ones in Clint's days..
Humble and kind and a real man not full of himself.

The best among some pretty fair cowboys during the '50's and '60's. RIP Sir.

Wow..what an amazing, down to earth guy.
There is at least one episode of Cheyenne where Clint sings and plays guitar quite well. He's one of my boyhood heros.
