Thank you, Pete, for your excellent review. All the damn time. Glad you mentioned, “The Aristocrats”. Their new release, is interesting and a fun listen. Thanks again. Take Care. 🎤🎸🎵🎹🥁 Life is better with music.
I absolutely adore The Aristocrats! The closest band I could compare them to is the Dixie Dregs. Maybe a little more modern, but yea. Love you reviewed this Pete. \m/
Been checking out DUCK all weekend...the closer, "This Is No Scrotum", is my favourite track. Ethnic, Middle Eastern vibe that goes in/out of other feels...with violinist Rusanda Panfili. Smokin'.
I like this one. I think I'd put it at #2 of their stuff, behind Culture Clash. I hear Marbin in that closer. Best song on the album. Here Come the Builders is full-on Greg Howe vibe, which is cool. The way it lays out, I dig all the odd numbered tunes. Not so fond of the evens, including Aristoclub. I hear the Satch-y thing you referenced, and that's not a plus in my book. Gets better after the sing-songy 'verses' though. And yeah, this band is not jazz fusion. Ask Ken! 3.5 for me
„Duck‘s End“ is such a funny title - if you know the German language. „End“ in German is spelled „Ende“, and the German word for „Duck“ is „Ente“. So Duck‘s End is „Das Ende der Ente“. Nice joke, Marco!
I really like this one A LOT! What is it? Instrumental fusiony prog (with other stuff thrown into the musical stew). Where would I put it into their discography? Well I've now got 10 of their albums (including a bunch of live stuff) & to me it's near the top of that pile. Right there with Boing, We'll Do It Live! & Secret Show: Live In Osaka (I think I still like them a bit more when recorded live). Quite possibly their best studio effort so far. Agreed with Pete - at least a 4.5 out of 5...and not at all a stretch to consider them as an early nominee for album of the year
Hi Pete, understood and thanks for taking the time to reply. If you get chance have a listen to Black Sun (th-cam.com/video/FP3S_jx800M/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Stray-Topic), Sword of Damocles and I Am, these are probably the stand-out tracks on the album@@seaoftranquilityprog
You should send him a pic of your album collection, and from now on Pete could just review selections from that, week after week. After all, there's nothing worse than being exposed to new music against your will.
“Sitting with a duck on the bay”😂 Best song title ever

Wow thanks Pete will check it; I’m a huge Govan fan, what a player!
Holly cow!!! The Ariastocrats Ducks is just an awesome cd !! What a band!!! Aristoclub is mind blowing!!! Thank You Pete!!!!!
Got to see them live last year in a small theater. Amazing talented trio. Very funny guys too.
Great review Pete! I agree they are locked in throughout, loving the album
Will check it out, thanks for posting Pete!
I love The Aristocrats, I've seen them live 3 times and they blew me away every time. Awesome band live...
I am intrigued. Of course, I love the cover art!
Hey DC good to see you on here my friend!
@@logancollins7097 Hey Logan! Thanks again for closing up shop at the Warehaus. Can't trust Denny to get the job done right!
@@DCToonTime Denny still trying to take all the credit for that! Unreal

...definitely The Steve Morse Band.
They're trios for the most part.
Aristoclub is easily one of my favorite tracks.
Definitely! Amazing track.
Me too
@@frank.s.castro , Joe Satriani popped up in my mind when I first heard it and Pete brings it up.

I get Frank Zappa sensibilities from these guys.

👍 Guthrie Govan (rhymes with oven).
✌️🤟🤘
Love the "loose-ness" & open-ness...I mean, c'mon!

Hi Pete, any chance of doing a review of Stray's "About Time"?😊😊
It's pretty expensive here in the States, and it's now March of 2024, so I have plenty of other stuff to concentrate on.

How about something I have heard of?
Yes! I agree. From now on, Pete should only review and talk about albums you’ve heard of.
You want him to review Taylor Swift then?

The idea is to get exposed to new music. The Aristocrats is a phenomenal band.
I love the band and I enjoyed the album a lot but I must say this one is my least favourite in their catalogue :(
